I don't know who at Netflix does these trailers, but... remixing that song, 'hopelessly devoted to you' to fit beats & scene changes is quite clever. and certainly produces the intended effect. well done.
Only based from watching it on Netflix, I understand that all the previous buyers who lived there became the WATCHERS themselves. They all became so obsessed for losing their very dream house. It's just a chain that goes on and on and on... The house itself is HUNTED and CURSED. In real life though, it will remain a BIG MYSTERY...

I just finished watching. I really liked the series and the mystery in it, but I was shocked when I came to see people’s opinions. Most of them did not like it. I am really shocked. I think I am the only one who feels that I did not waste my time on it. 😭😭😭
I always mix up the case of
'The Watcher' with another real life similar story of a woman who harassed and terrorized a family when they moved into a house after, if I'm not mistaken, she either lost it to foreclosure or she wanted to buy the house but she was outbid by them so she harassed them because she felt as though it was her house and that she deserved to live there instead of them.
That story would make a good series as well.

It looks so good! But also looks to be not true to the case which is kind of a bummer. The family didn’t live in the house for long because of the letters and rented it out to a family who also received a letter that was even more crazy than the letters the family received. I wonder if that part will be in it as well. Can’t wait to see it!
i honestly think taht if they stayed true to the case it would be kinda boring because they get 3 letters they havent even moved in and so they move out like its more simple
Don’t watch it unless you want to waste time. The main characters could have easily solved this case after the tunnels were discovered. Tunnels could have been shut off or they could have baited the watcher since at least they know one way he is entering or after the first episode by installing cameras of their own. It’s based around the time tiktok existed, so installing surveillance, especially with the wife not doing anything all day, they could have caught the watcher. There are other small idiotic scenes in the show that does not make sense, but whatever. I enjoyed the beginning, but if I knew there was no satisfying ending I would have not watched it.

This happened to me last year, minus the letters ( it happened in the form of text messages. ) As someone stated below however, it's not so easy to just "catch" a Watcher; they have gone undetected for a reason. They're good at what they do, almost genius, and it never helps if the civil servants are either in on it, or just hapless. There are people who actually get paid to do this type of targeting, my theory is that "they" belong to a unique subset of Beings. The character John Graff and his monolouge (in the kitchen) summed it all up. You "know", if you "know". One last thing, it's not up to a victim to try and explain to anyone why a psychopath does what they do: you could sneeze the wrong way and once they become obsessed with destroying you, the only "reason" is their own. It's not the targets responsibility to make sense of the senselessness of evil.
The music is almost the same as the music that they play in a nightmare on elm street. I think it makes this show that bit better
And maybe layered like the watching, tunnels, and more. ⏳ Plus who is the real "The" Watcher, etc 😂

in the true story the family never did find out who the watcher was so sadly there isn't a resolved ending
By the 4th episode, this series really starts to go off the deep end and has one too many twists, but it started out good at first
There are some things that don’t make sense in this show. The dad finds out about the tunnel very early but forgets ? The family say there’s nothing they can do to catch the watcher but it can’t be that hard to trick the watcher. They know they enter through the tunnel so why not get an axe and chop down the door that leads to the other end of the tunnel. When the young girl gets into the dads bed or they find out the watcher has been in their house why not put up your own cameras in the house. The watcher watches the house at night so why not hide in the bushes or put cameras that face the street. They already had 10 cameras on the property, not one of those cameras ever catches the smallest glimpse of the watcher ? The police refuse to help even though they know about the tunnel. The police say there’s cars watching the house at night and they never see the he watcher. The family hire the young tech boy to watch the motel but they don’t hire him to watch the house ?

It's probably not resolved because pretty much every prior owner is involved and the people who live next to it/around it don't want new people in there. Envy maybe? It's a bit of a horror ish show as much as it is a thriller and it seems they're not always explained. Had it a couple times before. I'm 2 episodes in so I'm not sure yet but I'm getting the feeling nobody really wants people in that house for whatever reason that may be.😊

I think the girl with the pigtails is the waitress at the golf club or whatever that restaurant is. She looked so suspicious with her face expression when she saw the video of the pigtail girl while she was serving them.
Looking back, it kind of reminds you of, Little Fires Everywhere. A lot of forwards and backwards motion of the plot before it eventually gets wildly ridiculous. Starts off great, but ends with a huge, "WTH?!?".
The True Crime Documentary of the Watcher is more interesting than the movie .

It was absolutely great the end made me piss my pants I loved it there was a lot of suspense confusion it was absolutely thrilling I loved it ! Can’t imagine that this was a true story that a family actually suffered this

I stuck it out until episode 6 but there were too many twists and turns to keep my interest. So I skipped to the end. Boring. Don’t waste your time. Even the ending doesn’t want to end.

This family has been a family for at least as long as their teen daughter has been around but the parents, especially the Dad are very over-the-top gooey lovey to the point that it's nauseating. And things get unrealistically spooky even before they buy the house. In the first 10 minutes the parents have the kind of sexual thing that only newlyweds have. I couldn't even get through the first 15 minutes.

I've known hundreds of married couples and how they behave, how they relate, how they interact and couples that have been married for umpteen years do not behave the way that couple did. I appreciate movies that portray married couples realistically and not just for the sake of throwing some sexual antics in the mix. How old are you? Never mind, I wouldn't believe you anyway but I'll bet you are very young.

They do have resemblance, but this is made mostly after the real life case about the watcher. This show has no conection to Caché

The real story is actually pretty boring. The family lived for a short time in the house,they received letters but before they moved in,3 letters if I'm correct. Later they moved out, another family moved in,got one letter and I think that's about it.
