Beautiful folks talking about beautiful music and art. Doesn’t get much better. Bobby - That painting is downright spectacular. The colors and textures have me imagining watching the clouds flow by on a peaceful mountain top. I also think I’m looking down into a swirling pond of tropical fish. You both have wonderful talents and your genuineness shows each time y’all share with us. ❤️☮️

Part of the reason I enjoy these chats so much is finding out more about some of my favourite albums and artists. Bobby is a treasure trove of rock knowledge. He has certainly lived the life and come out at the positive end. My Layla box set arrived today. Can't wait to give it a blast and give the neighours a musical education.

I just started watching these conversations a few weeks ago and just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed them. I really am impressed by your forthrightness, humility, humor, and spirituality. And you are obviously a multi-talented person with your paintings along with creating some of the greatest music of our time. I’m so glad I ran across these and look forward to hearing more from you and CoCo.

Well said Tom. I'm the same. I'm a long time Beatles and George fan, EC as well and I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know about Bobby. Since discovering this channel I've been hooked. And I've been listening to Layla and OTLS again and again. Also other Bobby stuff and I'm lovin it. More than anything however Bobby's spirituality his wisdom and grace shine through on these videos. And Coco too is the perfect foil for Bobby. God bless them both.

Bobby I really enjoy your interviews. You really know how to tell a story! I first bought the Layla album in 1972. Then I got the 8 track of the live Dominos. Then I got the 8 track of your 2nd record. Then I bought the vinyl of your first record, which I still have. Then Layla LP got lost along the way. Now I have the CD version of Layla and cassette set including outtake jams with the Allmans. I have a cassette copy of Delaney & Bonnies greatest hits. Thank you for being a major part of the greatest era of music. Thank you.

Hi you 2 lovely people, greetings from a hot (40C) Melbourne, Australia. I just watched a version of Layla with Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers, Bill Wyman etc onstage. Sounded like a performance. But sometimes less is more. Your original version sounds like your lives depended on it. Echoes of Robert Johnson ("and tell me all my love's in vain"), what early Elvis, early The Band, Blonde on Blonde, Born to Run, had..an urgency, a sense that the only way out was through guitars, an organ, a heartfelt voice. You have given so much meaning and joy to vaste numbers of people, over decades. So thank you.

There are many, many folks that bring their problems through others. Shrinks call it transference.
Just know that those folks have yet to be in the light.
All we can do is hope they will someday.
If we are not in a position to personally help them to experience that state, we have to try and forgive them for their transgressions, move forward and hope they will learn from their problems.
You Mr. Whitlock, sir, are an inspiration.

Hey Bobby, I just got a great original pressing of your first solo album. I'll always be watching for more. I love going digging through old albums. I'm having as much fun as when I was a teen in the 70s. I was like, wow, Bobby Whitlock! Bought it, great album. I met Bonnie back in 07 and she warmed up backstage singing Good Rockin Tonight in my ear before going onstage. I was staff for a recording studio that night. The last several years, I've really fleshed out my listening studies around the era of Delaney & Bonnie, Leon Russell, Allman Brothers, Bobby Keys, all those around that time. It was like the 2nd great influence on the British Players. It was a sea change and not enough is in the history books about it. You are an integral part.

Congratulations on 20 years of sobriety Bobby. I will celebrate 24 years in a few months. I wasn't an AA member either. Didn't care for it and when I heard that I couldn't stop without AA in knew I wanted nothing to do with it. I don't expect you to believe this but my father and his wife were very close friends with the brother of the king of Nepal. He was a structural engineer and he designed the first lake Washington floating bridge in seattle in 1940. He loved Seattle and decided to stay. You would not believe some of the exotic stuff he had brought with him from Nepal.

Was always interested in the folks making the music and what was going on with them, and hated to see them mess up their lives with drugs, and happy for those who got past it. Now, here, you are letting us fans know more intimately about the lives of those you had the pleasure to be involved with. Thankyou.

One of the things I've enjoyed about these videos is the positive excitement in your delivery. Bobby, you're recounting events, cool experiences you've been a part of like it was only yesterday. The music you were a part of had a lot of influence with some of us back in the day. You're retelling of it, the history you're laying down for the record is meaningful to us. I've been binge watching y'all for a couple of days now, non-stop practically :) I'm getting up there, long time sober, musician at one time, also a painter. Have a fantastic wife too. I'm finding so much positivity here. I expect I'll catch up and wind up watching all your videos on your channel. I like people who pay attention to being alive. :) There's something about being conscious and enlightened and awake after all those years of trying to cancel it out with alcohol. It turns out it's not such a bad life after all as long as you don't let the unenlightened people too far into your head. So I would say keep doing what you are doing, you guys have a good message.

Your story is an encouraging saga of personal success, crisis, survival and redemption. Thank you for taking the time to share it with the world! And for those that haven’t you owe it to yourselves to read Bobby’s autobiography. Wonderful painting too 🙂

I've been playing and recording music for over thirty years, but I've learned so much listening to Bobby over the past few months. Bobby's passion for the music is infectious. I've been relistening to a lot of great records with a different ear lately. I really respect what y'all are doing. I'm definitely not the only one. Remember, we outnumber the negative folks. We appreciate ya!

I love your outlook on life. I could never understand why people would tune into a channel and then spew negativity. Bobby, your work speaks for itself, and your art is beautiful. Coco is wonderful! You are in a great space with a woman who loves you. Just speaking for myself, two people loving each other and communicating; that person being your best friend even in the tough times, is a suceessful and fulfilling life. Love from Richard and Janet in Hoboken USA....

I don’t understand how anyone would think that you are being untruthful. I know people and you sir seem to be of total truth. Nothing you say seems to be to be benefiting to yourself so what would be your reason to lie. I love musically of what you’ve given humanity and obviously there is no lie in your body of work. Thank you so much and you rock!

At the end of this video I can see while you are still a musical person in your day to day life now for 3 years you have transformed into being a painter. Not many artists get to have this transfer of talents from one medium to another as gracefully as you have been able to do so. To come to this past the age of 70 must be incredibly gratifying. You do live in the light Robert.

A lot of people cant stand others who pulled their life together and found happiness and contentment. Most of the time they are still slammed and resent someone who crawled their way out of addiction into clarity. All you can do is say a little prayer for them and move on. Truth is truth. Some make it and some dont.
