I had the opportunity to walk across the Royal Gorge Bridge, ride a rail tram down to the Colorado River and cross back on the gondola. The gondola back then was just an open steel basket with low wall, no glass window, unlike the one now. You can look down to the gorge from the side wall and extend the camera's extension pole away to shoot. After that we went to Cripple Creek. It was in 2003

That gondola is obviously going nowhere near 37 miles per hour. It’s going 11 mph. The man said feet not meters.
