Personally this weapon banner makes me very happy. Never before have I had less reason to consider spending any pulls there, saving them for something better.

I love Baizhu and I'm very happy with him on the teams I have him on, and he's very fun for co-op because he's practically the only healer who can enable co-op Furina hyperbloom teams, but I'm never getting his weapon, no way 😅 maybe constellations, but not the weapon, that's for sure

I got a single copy.... Just like in xianyun's banner... I can't believe I've gotten more copies of her from standard banner than from banners that actually featured her
I got wanderer, itto, Xianyun, all of them with faruzan as 4*, and i still have her at C4 (and 1 was the gifted faruzan).
(i have no hopes to get her more than one's in this banner at this point)
I only got 1 copy with 80 pull. My faruzan is c1 now still far from c6.. 🥲

At least Layla its a complete and viable character at C0 and/or without being a nerfed version of previous characters, something the other Sumeru 4 stars can't say (except Yaoyao and maybe Collei). Her main problem is there are no decent swords with HP substat if you want to use her as a pure shieldbot.
Anyway, both banner are ez skip for me.
The Dockhand's Assistant is good for Layla, +41.3% HP as substat

I already got wanderer, c6 faru and baizhu so it feels good to completely skip these banners
Few tips for Wanderer:
When you get hit in the air with you can dash to avoid the long ass falling animation
If you want to play him with Furina you can go double healing bonus or 4 maiden's beloved on your Bennett
While exploring you can press the dash without pressing the forward button when on a slope to keep going fast
for people who have farmed Navia's set , 4pc song of days past is better than maiden if you want to build a full healing build Bennett
Also if plan to play him with furina, tulaytula and Wriothesley weapon have a lot more pull value, cause he can overcap on crit rate super easily (36% marchausse set + 20% from cryo absorption + 5 base crit rate)
C1 Wanderer haver here (with R3 Lost Prayers), I have never actively used wanderer in abyss HOWEVER to me he is the best character for anything that doesn't include abyss 12:
-His autotracking attacks+ range + low cooldown on his fly makes him insanely strong to navigate the open world and kill enemies that if you have a melee character they might be a pain to reach or you get stuck on small edges
- My exploration team is Wanderer Fischl Kazuha Kokomi, (Kokomi E, Fischl E, Kazuha 2xE with sac sword and the whole camp is dead or if elite enemies you finish with wanderer) The anemo resonance helps even further with speed between camps and puzzles.
When I put Wanderer out of my team when trying new characters it feels sooo slow and clunky, I have tried an crazy amount of comps and the only one coming close is a C1 xianyun with neuvilette and kazuha.
I want to say that I am a 1.0 player that have been clearing 36 stars since 1.x, some people would consider me a metaslave but i still consider him a top 3 dps for non endgame player that don't need to rush into the abyss12 for how confortable he is to play in ANY not abyss 12 content. and for people like me who can easily clear 36 stars with multiple different teams already, he is just an insanely valuable in terms of confort pull for the overworld content.
Great video, i totally agree that if your only goal is to clear abyss you might wanna consider other options especially if you are reaching just the AR 55/56/57 and you don't have many characters yet.
My Wanderer is more than strong enough for floor 12, but for me he is pretty much what Venti is for most people: The perfect character for floor 9 to 11, fast and with a ton of range, fun and easy but not THAT easy to play (Unlike neuvi who is just way too broken lol, but I also use him on the other side if I'm not on the mood to think even for a little bit about some wacky team for fun), from the moment that i got him in his first banner he has been in almost every single Abyss cycle from floor 9 to 11, and just the amount of hours that I used him in the overworld made me REALLY consider going for constellations on a character for the first time, I even got to 73 pity in his rerun but then calmed down because I prefer getting more character, but the temptation was crazy lol
My exploration team is pretty much Xiao's FFXX team but with Wanderer instead, Faruzan's buff is more than enough for even the toughest fights in overworld so XY and Furina are there for traveling and quickheals lol, and Faru + Wanderer's bursts already delete most small camps too (And even if using only Faru's burst makes certain fights longer, that just mean a little bit more of challenge for the overworld, which is fine by me XD)
Stop coping and just admit that he is good in abyss. Go watch genshin noir and stop relying exclusively on zajeff for meta analysis and calcs.

@@bobthehandyman3650 you're not doing him a great service just emphasizing how good he is in non FL12 abyss tbh. At C1R0 he should mog Floor 12 with c6 Faru, shield or no shield. Though I do agree he has lots of QoL, even more than Venti in lower floor since Venti's burst in stationary while he tracks faraway enemies. Cheers!
Its quite sad that the Only day that Fav sword that has been missing from weapon banners for a pretty long time appears in a pretty mediocre 5* weapon line up. Mr. Zacheff, you are getting a Fav sword before Natlan, im not Coping 👀👀👀
Yesterday I did a lot of wishing (I've been saving for like 2 or 3 months). I wanted Wanderer (I didn't have him, planned to go for c0-c2) and c6 Faruzan (had her at c0). After cirka 240 wishes I had c1 Wanderer (and 1 Qiqi) and c4 Faruzan. Let's just say I was pretty devastated.
I didn't care much about Wanderers const, but I REALLY wanted c6 Faruzan. I swiped for two more ten pulls. The first one got me another Qiqi, but the second one got me two Faruzans. Those two Faruzans in a single ten-pull felt like a gift from god. So yeah, trying to c6 a 4 star sucks.

9:50 According to wiki (I've been reading about RES and a few other mechanics some time ago), you've got one thing wrong about the res. Here's basically what wiki says:
When RES is positive+, the RES SHRED is 100% effective. When RES is at 0 or negative-, RSE SHRED is only 50% effective. Examples:
If enemy has 60% RES and you have 40% RES SHRED, it puts enemy at 20% RES.
If enemy has 0% RES and you have 40% RES SHRED, it puts enemy at at at -20%, because the 40% RES SHRED is halved, because RES was already at 0%
If enemy has 20% RES and you have 40% RES SHRED, it puts enemy at -10%, because it takes the 20% RES SHRED to put RES at 0% and the remaining 20% RES SHRED is halved to 10% and puts RES at -10%
I really want some feedback about this, because I've read this on wiki, so I might have missunderstood this, or the wiki itself might be wrong
Also, if what I wrote is true, then stacking RES SHRED is even less effective than you said

I might roll for Baizhu since I got his weapon when he first came out when I was trying to get Nahida's weapon. I'm going to wait to see which characters are on the next patch to make my decision.
Baizhu was a Godsend for me when I pulled him along with Furina. Honestly without him me pulling Furina would have been pointless. He's that good. This is as someone who has been playing since 1.0 but still doesn't have Jean (no I didn't pull on that scam of a banner they ran last patch).
Baizhu is quite good. If you can spare the primos I'd grab him. Big QoL unit.

Beido is also good for using Mika with Eula and Raiden. Damage resistance makes up for meh healing.
I was lucky I got my last Layla constellation before reaching pity. She might not be awesome but I love her and knowing she'll be even more useful is really good.

Wanderer will fix ur overworld, his flying is still unmatched. He is the only reson i even attempt Sumeru desert.
Decided to throw a 10-pull at Baizhu's banner to see if I could get a Faruzan or Layla con and Baizhu decided to come home instead. Not even upset. Happy to have him on my account and now I can play the Neuv, Furina, Kazuha, Baizhu team.

I can also relate to not getting Fav swords too 😭. For years I only had one R3 Fav sword and recently I got another Fav sword while pulling for Arlecchino's scythe. Now I can't decide if I should R4 it or level it up for another character to use.
The Range Gayge joke by the editor was so good.
OF COURSE they had to put fav sword on this banner, watch the next fav sword be next year with the donut & eula's weapon 🥲
You should've talked about Bennett and Furina with Wanderer more. It feels like Faruzan is presented as his only buffer, but that is not the case because Wanderer has many teams cycling between using one, two, or even all three in a team.
i gambled hard on this one. had 1 Pity after Kazuha Banner as F2P
and i absolutly love Faruzan Designe and Beidou so i just had to go for those pulled till 71 no 5 Star good.
Sadly only 2 Faruzan Copys and 1 Beidou BUT 5 Leyla... man this game.
as soon as i get c6 faruzan i'll go for wanderer but rn i want baizhu

I pulled wanderer because I love his playstyle and the main issue with him was 100% the amount of investment needed for him to feel strong (which luckily wasn't an issue for me) and also the lack of C6 faruzan (which I now have) but now that I got his c2 and I have triple crowned wanderer, he feels so strong and against maagu kenki I clear in 20s
question, i want to use my cyno, i feel however that he's significally hard to use in multiwave content because of the dendro application, i have nahida, yaoyao, dendro mc, tighnari and kahve, should i get baizu given that i have enough primos and i don really plan on getting anyone else in a while?
I would.
Cyno, furina, Baizhu teams is one of the only teams where cyno feels good to use no matter what.
And Nahida is a lot more versatile, having Baizhu allow you to try new strong nahida teams in the ond side of the abyss, while use cyno in the other.
about scara's passive and c4 i actually find all of them useful
the hydro increase the duration which translate to more dmg (especially with c6)
the electro with faruzan makes it possible to ult twice in a rotation even with zero er (can be clanky if you don't get the hydro one with it)
cryo is too op
id say the least useful one is the atk from pyro but i play scara in a faru furina mika team so it kinda makes up for the lack of atk buffers
one buff to wanderer zajef forgot to cover here is that the fontaine reputation glider looks absolutely sick on him

Should I pull for Baizhu if I plan on getting Furina? Dunno if I'll be able to get Furina, but have a pretty hefty amount of content to do. I have Nahida Kuki, Ayato, Neuvillette, Yoimiya and the main 4-stars with their constellations
As someone who have furina,baizhu,koko, xianyun, i barely use furina and baizhu, its more for cyno/al comps, not a big fan of that duo, koko and xianyun work better with her in most scenario
No, get Furina instead. She doesn't need Baizhu except for Cyno quickbloom

there's a question i've been wondering for a while about Layla. If you want to have the strongest shield possible, is 2pc 2pc hp sets better or 4pc tenacity? I'm just not sure what 30% shield strength really translates to, and i don't think she can keep the tenacity buff up 100% of the time anyway.
4pc tenacity is better for shield strength (in theory atleast).
She can keep 100% uptime of tenacity if your shield don't get broken (and if you refresh it on time thats a rare situation)

I like using Beidou with Neuvillette. I also have Furina and Jean in that same team. Beidou's energy requirements are pretty massive though
i pulled for furina's weapon back in the days and got the green donut but at least it's good on neuvillette

Cuz its a 2k base multiplier at 40k hp. Which is good if it isnt a single hit
Yes, it lasts for 0.05 seconds after a hit. However, it happens every time the shield shoots out stars, so around 3-4 times per rotation. It’s not worthless, but not that impactful either.

@@MuhaamadAreeb It’s possible to accidentally waste the buff on a non carry. Even then, what’s to say your carry is always on field during the 3 second window in which her buff is active, which is also on a pseudo-sporadic trigger condition for the most part? And if you get everything to align, the buff is still mediocre at best.

I already have wanderer and c6 faruzan so I'm already past the pain of playing him without. I pulled on weapon banner and got jadefall in the first 10 pull. 80 pulls later I got the bell. I was so relieved that hoyo didn't force me to pull a 3rd weapon as I only had around 1800 gems left. Hoyo really need to change how weapon banners work. My advice: don't play wanderer without c6 faruzan vs floor 12 unless you have a lot of patience :)
18:07 yao yao's radishes also have aoe in aoe situations. And in those situations, you usually play kazuha. So you end up getting better dedro than baizhu's better single target app

I'll add to Baizhu C1 - Double Skilling pretty much heals the entire team to full, which in turn makes Furina Teams even nicer.
Definitely a well rounded banner, everything except the five star weapons is fine but not amazing, I am just saving for clorinde because I have baizhu and xiao + xianyun and my faruzan and beidou are c6
Playing Wanderer's trial makes me go "holy attack speed batman" like they make him feel crazy fun to play

I got like 4 cons of her from the Standard banner. Idk what the Gacha was smoking, considering I don't have a single Anemo damage character on my roster.
I use beidou in koko x furina tazer team especially on cases where my koko keeps getting interrupted but on other cases i just settle for fischl :>

I absolutely love Baizhu, having a team-wide heal with his skill is so nice. I'm never afraid of dying in the abyss when I have him, everything is so easy and comfy + he has a cute snake! :D

I saw how awful the weapons were gonna be on this banner (jade/bell) and told myself "man they're gonna run fav sword on this banner just to mess with zajef" and there you go, at least you can look at fav as the entire reason to pull on the weapon banner but at the end of the day chasing 4*s is asking for trouble
Baizhu is there to poison the weapon banner (similar to Kokomi donut)
pretty bad, i just spend around 70 pull just to try to get one copy of faruzan and didnt get at all. Just need one more copy to c6. And i have both of the 5star of them. this banner is nightmare.

Is clorinde's release techincally a buff to baizhu? She wants to be run in dendro teams and she converts healing to BoL, yet she racks BoL rlly fast through the pistolet shots. Asking to see if anyone knows the answer to if i should pull baizhu for clorinde (i have c6 yaoyao.)

They are. Before faruzan C6 wanderer dmg is not that high, so is specially worth it to use more than one dps (like furina).
Yes, before I got Faruzan's C6 I had much better performance using Wanderer in Furina double hydro than I did with any of his Faruzan teams.
I dont think Zajeff mentions Clorinde in Baizu segment, but does anyone know how good sinergy would Baizu have with Clorinde?
It should be good, i don't know if worthier than nahida in terms of dps, but atleast agains multiwave it should be her best dendro (like in cynos case)

the worst thing about baizhu's weapon is that a significantly restricted sign weapon like arle's is at worst a stat stick better than many 4*, but with baizhu's having HP stat and passive that absolutely NO ONE can utilise at any point, its just worst than TTDS.

As a Heizou main and Wanderer haver, C6 Faruzan is SO IMPORTANT. She's a completely different character from C0-C5.
My Heizou's damage is completely different with her.
Beidou is really underated. She is super cracked against 2-3 targets. Also her with xinqui make arlechino feel invincible
I really think he’s way too hard on Layla. It’s not that hard to get her c6 nowadays. I find her shield and cryo application to be more than strong enough in Arlecchino melt teams and some hyperfridge teams. I may be biased bc I have C6 ToM 1 crown Layla with an incredible build. Sac sword also helps to keep her shield up if u really need it; I use Harbingers for extra damage because I already have enough ER (130%) and a thick enough shield (36k hp)
I skipped since 3. Whatever (when Kaeya skin came out) so I’m glad I can still watch this without spoiling what happens in the story.
Why is Baizhu never mentioned for defensive utility for wanderer?
1. Mini shields block a hit up to 6 times
2. Aerial dodging avoids many other hits
3. Immediate synergy with furina
4. Prototype Amber helps battery for faruzan and furina without overloading furina for ER just to burst off CD
Forget Furina, Baizhu’s also a great choice if you run C6 Fischl in the last slot. Wanderer is one of her best drivers with his fast attack speed and Baizhu provides something for Oz to aggravate on.
Because Wanderer's elements pickup are an important part of his gameplay, and he can't pick up Baizhu's dendro reactions.
You can’t rely on his shields for interruption resistance. I’ve tried it. For Furina, I’d always prefer Mika, gives atk spd which is actually important on Wanderer who has no hitlag. Faruzan and Furina both often use favonius weapons and if Faruzan is C6 she doesn’t have as much er issues as pre-c6. I’d say he’s better off not being mentioned for Wanderer…
Prototype amber does nothing for battering faruzan, er only for char who using it, only healing to everyone
Because Wanderer’s best two teammates are c6 Faruzan and Bennett by a huge margin. Where are you finding the space to fit both a Baizhu and a Furina. And Baizhu without a Furina is terrible with Wanderer, especially since Bennett is already there.

Edit: Also, regardless of what Zajef says, Wanderer is my favourite unit of all, especially his playstyle. I run him without a shielder and Faruzan and it goes fine, even in abyss, and his attack sounds are just so statisfying to me. Also floating around as you see Guoba kill enemies like the Emperor screaming "Do it" to Anakin is just one of my favourite things ever.
He's my favourite character, so i wished. And im happy i will make him the best.

tbh, I feel Wanderer's constellations are overall quite underwhelming, BUT his C6 is among the best 5* C6 in the game. The additional NAs have ICD of their own; for reactions it doesn't matter much for Wanderer as that's not his main playstyle, but for SHIELD SHREDDING it's INSANE. Quite a few enemies have fat shields, and his C6 destroys those without having to swap out for another character and fuck up your rotation.
The additional damage instances counting as NAs also make Echoes a better set, and from my experience, even with high ping it becomes quite more consistent. It activates his talent's special aerial dash more frequently too, and with C1's attack speed and damage bonus, the DPS is very notable. Lastly, it also increases the duration of his flying state as you attack for 2 more seconds, which is surprisingly quite a lot with how fast he attacks - it's the same amount as the Hydro buff from his ascension passive, so he can remain airborne for a total of 14 seconds if he also has it. Faruzan's buff lasts throughout the entire duration of his buffed state even then, and so does his signature weapon's passive.
while baizhu isnt amazing, he is super comfy for raiden hyperbloom teams. he is very comfy and performs very well with nahida
That's what! He's so comfy. I reserve him for times when people refuse to heal in co-op.
He is also very confy for alhaithams + furina teams.
