    Narrator Jack Hopper tours the Texas State Cemetery in Austin pointing out the graves of many of the famous, not so famous and infamous people who are buried there. This includes Stephen F. Austin (1793-1836) considered the Father of Texas, and many other notables, including governors, Texas Rangers, over 2000 Confederate Veterans, State officials and their wives. This fascinating documentary gives a brief overview of the history of Texas, and is packed with historical facts.

    As old as this is it was good to see alot of my ancestors my family has been in Texas long before the Republic of Texas dated back 1780s spread all over Texas not to many left Texas since we fought so hard to make it what it is .everywhere I go im reminded by the stories passed on

    Peter Grayson the man who wrote the treaty of velasco and the man who negotiated the release of Stephen F Austin from Prison in Mexico City. Peter Grayson one of the best negotiators that ever lived.

    My mother's mom mate name was hooks from bowie county tx her daddy was name Forrest hooks he was born in hooks tx in bowie county tx we was told that popa Forrest grandfather was warren hooks the founder of hooks tx in bowie county tx a full blooded white man Forrest was lite skin with silky curly looking hair we are African American from bowie county tx
