    Did you do your eye makeup different? Looks nice whatever you did. Hair is looking healthy too. I was a hair dresser before my injury.

    Ughhh, I got fitted for a bra back in January. I'm pretty big, and NO ONE had my size. Finally, Walmart randomly stocked my size and I snatched them up. They felt so good... Until the last couple of months when my breasts became fuller at random, and now they don't fit properly :( I'm 22, why does my boobs feel the need to grow? Ugh!

    • @Wheelsnoheels
      @Wheelsnoheels  6 лет назад +2

      Ugh yes this does happen and its so annoying. especially as its so nice to finally get the right size. buy one of each in ever colour, and some extra spares, then BOOOm you wake up and they change. Mine have changed heaps over the years for various different reason. Your no alone. In fact I need to get re-measured. xxx

    I am a pear shaped lady with pretty wide hips and a narrow waist. (size 16" wheelchair). I love playsuits with the loose elastic band and the thin shoulder straps, it's really flattering, i like to get those a size up so there nice and baggy and cool. I also love maxi-dresses (without the slit). I also use old denim jeans as shorts, i like them just a couple of inches above the knee to prevent sweating and heat rashes on my inner thighs. And i'm team flowy tops all the way also!!

    I always wear skirts and dresses with tights, leggings, or leggings style shorts. If something is too low cut for me I wear a tank top under!! I don’t like just trousers or shorts I feel self conscious! And I tend to try to cover my shoulders and back! So the first outfit is in essence what I wear for underwear. Which is funny because it looks amazing on Gem! Lol. I’m just too modest ha ha.

    Fabulous video....the first I have seen of yours. I can see I need to look back and catch up on a few. Some great ideas. I need to brave up a bit for short shorts. I am still after many wheelchair users self conscious about my legs. Then I see how cute and fashion forward you look and just feel stupid. I may have to try. Loved the tops too! Thanks!

      Hi. welcome to wheelsnoheels. I hope you found my vids useful. I was sooooo self concours of my legs. But why be restricted even more by our disability? I think the more we get them out the better. As the more other see its ok. the more it will be "normalised." I have a vid all on body confidence if you think that will help? Thanks for watching.. xxx

    I wore dungarees shorts yesterday with a hoodie over the top and honestly, going to the loo was so difficult. I needed so much assistance to get undone and redone - I wish I had thought it through! It was very humid but also a chance of rain, so loose dungarees seemed like a good idea to just throw on! My favourite summer outfit is having fabric shorts like you mentioned with a few layers of cami tops, and a cardi in my bag. I do like the patterned jazzy trousers too! Like public appropriate PJ bottoms haha.
    I actually haven't worn a 'real' bra in a few years as I found them too uncomfortable. I have little jersey cotton bra's from American Apparel instead and I love them! Not sure what I'll do when they break now AA is gone, and I have to try any bra/bralettes on first!

    • @Wheelsnoheels
      @Wheelsnoheels  6 лет назад

      PJ appropriate bottoms!! love it. And i often feel that way. ooo dungarees! you were brave. will you wear them again? If you like that look. wear the dungaree skirt option. I got a black one from H&M. Have you seen my body confidence vid? in that I wear a pink bralett from victorias secret. The are amazingly comfy!!!! Im the same i find bras too uncmfy. xxx

    I’ve been a complete paraplegic since age 6, in my twenties now and I almost NEVER let skin show on my legs Given my legs are about the size of an average string bean, it causes people to stare intensely in a trance like state at how small they are. Textured tights winter/ fall/spring and athletic leggings typically in summer distract the eye enough to make me look a little more proportioned

    I find that I avoid materials that are rigid for trousers. It always creates that pouching and also tends to dig into my thighs. I always go for something with a degree of stretch to minimise those problems. I swear by jeggings and stretch jeans. Floaty tops are the best. I do avoid one piece body items like play suits or body suit due to them being a nightmare for the loo. I don’t stick to to many other rules, basically if it’s comfy and I like the look, I’ll wear it. I wish they would invent something for big boobed girls like me that didn’t rely on A band around your spine or neck. If you have spinal problems it’s so blooming painful sometimes. Even the ones made of knitted nylon are so uncomfortable around one of the worst bits of my spine. I need lift but can’t tolerate pressure round the band area of the bra for more than an hour or so, and halter necks are a torture device if you have neck issues. It is the single item of clothing most in need of a redesign.

    Ughhhhhh I hate bra fittings. Every store measures differently, so I have to try on at least 5-6 different sizes and styles before I find one that fits....which my chronic illness won't allow. So I pick one store, get measured, and buy their bras. Add in that I have giant gazongas....my bras now cost the same as a small country. So not fair! I HATE bra shopping :(

    • @Wheelsnoheels
      @Wheelsnoheels  6 лет назад

      awwww I totally understand. It took me about 2 hours once to get fitted and then find the right shape and size for me. Its a right pain. xx

    Is it weird that my body shape hasn’t changed but I feel so much more confident and attractive in my chair than the did any other time in my life with my conditions? This year I actually want to go “swimming” and stuff I’m just so much happier in my chair.

    Really good advice watching for a muffin top as well as getting too hot or not showing off your milk and cookies 😆
    I really love the denim shorts and cute tops you picked for them. Since I’ve been less active, I’ve gained weight so I can’t wear that sort of outfit. ☹️
    Do you have any videos on staying fit and healthy when you can’t get enough activity?

    I’m hourglass- bigger chest and hips- bit of a mummy tummy and no butt (but not like anyone can see it if I’m sitting on it) I’m 5”8 and have long legs, I’m slim, I like my slightly fitted flannel shirts, vest tops, skinny/straight/bootcut jeans, I absolutely love one of my long sleeve pyjama tops it’s like this super flattering fit and is literally my fav top- such a waste that it’s pyjamas 😂 also sometimes I buy skater dresses and skirts but not brave enough to wear them yet. I like slouchy sweaters (like the one in my picture is my boyfriends, he gave me it to keep me warm when he’s not here) I like longer tops and vests like camis to hide any accidental back flashage but I feel more comfortable wearing low rise jeans. I buy my clothes online.

    Thank you so much for this, I've been lost trying to find what to wear in the heat and I wanted to ask how do you not stick to your wheelchair cushion mine has a covering on it that's leather like and I stick to it all the time?, but in the winter time it's a super comfortable cushion because it's gel and foam under the cover

      hi dawn, i put a white pillowcase over the seat of my wheelchair so it doesn't get sticky in the heat, works great! :)

      @Wheelsnoheels  6 лет назад +1

      Hmmm good question. I want to make a video about cushions at some point. I have an amazing anti sweat cushion, I can't remember the name of it.Ill see if i can find out. Its on my really old chair that my brother in law borrowed along time ago. At the moment I have a JAY cushion. it has material covering it, so no stickage, but it can get a lil sweaty when hot ;)

      @CoolloserAri 6 лет назад

      I'm a bit late to the party, but you can use a stretchy jersey (t-shirt material) pencil skirt or miniskirt as a cushion cover, with the bonus that you can get them in cool patterns and colours! just slide it over the cushion and tuck the end underneath!

    Body suits are sort of similar to play suits and some of them you can open at the bottom of it so you don't have to take the whole thing off

      Samantha - you can go to a bra shop at the mall and get a fitting. They'll do it for free. I mean, they'll (of course) try to talk you into buying, but they will measure you.

    • @Wheelsnoheels
      @Wheelsnoheels  6 лет назад

      Its worth doing. You may be surprised at what they suggest you wear. Most shops do them for free. Its important for your "boob health" in the long run as you don't want to be damaging breast tissue! xxx

      That is a great idea. Can you see them when they are zipped up? Even after 12 years jeans are a struggle! What might they charge Anika? I like a certain fit with jeans....but to be honest I have not tried anything like endless ability as Drea suggests. I agree Gem Hubbard I really need to try these too. My level is lower (t10 complete), but it's just a struggle and I am honestly impatient.

    This is a comment on a possible way to wear the playsuit.... IF you are able to maneuver in such a way, you could get a seamstress or yourself if you sew to put snaps in the crotch, that way you don't have to take everything off. Hope this helps.
