How does this video not have any of the many comments of praise it deserves yet? This is such a wonderfully insightful analysis, my thoughts have been coming back to it since the thing first came out. Suffice it to say you have permanently changed the way I think about one of the most important movies of my youth. Great job - concise and to the point - and the bonus round was certainly a plus. I love this video apart from the dream theory, as I feel the reasons you give are just normal story telling. Also, I feel like "the Invasion of the Body Snatchers" was just meant to be symbolic for the gremlins imitating the town's people and the specific scene was chosen as foreshadowing before we see the gremlins in their cocoons the next morning rather than being the cause of a nightmare. Other than that, though, this video was great! I didn't realize the parallels between the town's people and the gremlins until now

What happens later is like a nightmare. It fits symbolically, but shouldn't be taken as the movie's narrative. The dream theory would only work, if Billy went to sleep like that before even meeting Gizmo.
