To cut off any BS about how Yuri feels about Yor. It's not romantic in any way. He loves his sister like a mother, because she basically raised him. So he's very much a "mama's boy" when it comes to her. He also doesn't know that she can (Obviously) take care of herself, so he's worried about her safety and wants someone (like he said) that's capable of being able to provide and protect her. Also he's right to be suspicious of a guy that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, who is all of a sudden married to his sister. Who amongst us wouldn't be?
yuri is the siscon trope that is taken into a different type of extreme and its not gonna stop from that, theres another future character, fionna, who is an extreme kind of kuudere, this anime basically takes tropes and puts their own twist on it for comedic purposes. Taking this show seriously will only apply to moments where it outright tells you that shits about to go down, then again, only to shift it to comedy. This anime is comedy after all, no need to take everythign seriously.

He's too much for some people but I think he's hilarious. Also, before the episode came out, I was referencing the manga to try and guess what all would be in it. Seeing how much they had to cover, I had a horrible suspicion, "Oh no, they're gonna make THAT scene a cliffhanger, huh?" Unfortunately, I was right. 😅 A week feels like an eternity now!
One of the best running gags in the show is that Yor always forgets things😂. It's so hilarious and adorable. I can't believe they ended on a cliffhanger again. The story is getting more intense. Great reaction 😊

This episode is a great example of propaganda. Both sides think the other is evil without knowing the entire story because the leaders know the people will be more motivated if they don't really know who they are fighting.
This episode was hilarious, I was weezing with laughter. This dinner party was too 'adult' for Anya's precious ears. Twilight proves why he's the #1 spy. I sure hope Uncle Franky doesn't get caught by Yuri's secret police agency. I think Franky's the one who got the papers from that finance manager, the guy Yuri was questioning at the beginning of the episode.
Yuri's VA is also voicing Floch (AOT). You are always having so much with this show and it's lovely to see. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT CLIFFHANGER?!! Yor is catching feeling for Loid, but same for him, because even their hands simply touching made him blush. HIS WALLS ARE COMING DOWN!
Yes yes Floch too but Riku from Idolish7 is a much happier character to mention which is why brought him up instead HAHA! I may not watched a lot of animes. But it's rare to see an younger sibling being protective of the older and not the way around when is about relationships.
I think they did a good job explaining why though. Funny because it's almost akin to the explanation Loid gave at the party they went to when Yor was outed as being a masseuse and he gave a reason that she did whatever it took to earn money to help her little brother succeed.
Overprotective siblings is an old trope, but yeah I haven’t seen too many of little siblings being overprotective of the older ones. It’s funnier because Yuri is clearly a “Mama’s boy” and he can’t stand to see his mom being married and having a kid 😂

It would be really funny, if it was Twilight who wrote the Ostania's manual of deception. He is just the guy that could do it - both because writing questions-answers charts and diagrams is how he prepares his interactions - he likes to have all possibilities cowered and because giving such manual to his opponents means, he will easily spot them, when they use them. Especially, if they will not actualise the answers like Yuri didn't. It's lot easier to avoid being caught if you know who the hunters are...
What a cliff to hang on... I love your reactions to this show you're literally always the first reactor I watch whenever I new episode comes out. I feel like that's the theme of the show is that literally every really important character is always gonna be a secret something... like Damian is the Son of the Big Bad... From what I understand at least in Japan addressing someone by their given name with no honorifics is like the sort of thing you do in private with a partner or a couple who's been together for a really long time. I don't know anything about the fictional country they're in but if it was made by a Japanese team then maybe they just brought that over and added it in?
I just didn't realise it'd be the same between siblings, I figured they'd be close enough though now that I think about it I don't think I've ever seen an older sibling be addressed by their name by their younger sibling in anime
Yuri works for an organization based on the East German Stasi, the dreaded secret police that worked with the NKVD and KGB. So, Yuri is… complicated in a lot of ways. The Anya Cute Counter was an understandable Zero this episode since, A) she was barely in it, and B) Mai was definitely distracted by Yuri.

Omg i just realised... cuz my older sister who i watch anime with from time to time is really good at recognising voices almost the moment a character speaks. Just remembered when Yuri was on the phone in ep 2 she immediately was like “oh my god its Floch” from attack on titan... i love aot but i really hate Floch, like i really hate that guy These voice actors and acctresses are so damn talented I can’t believe my sister’s voice recognition in anything animated without looking it up is is ridiculous... she knew, the one that hired Yor in ep 2 was Sukuna’s VA from JJK, Camillla the blond coworker was actually Daki from Demon Slayer, hell Loid was the tuberculosis kid from Mugen Train and he’s also Julius the pruple haired knight of Anastasia from Re:zero, Damian is voiced by a woman... Anya that adorable child Was One of Tengens wives (ok that last one was the least obvious, she looked that up but still) I don’t know if u already knew or if someone told you about the voices, but it just blew my mind... i watch my Anime in 3 different languages and it takes me the characters speaking for a few sentences or even a few episodes to recognise people... my sister gets them almost instantly not all of them but a lot of them but a lot of them... Kindof a random topic, but it goes to show, just how talented these va’s are all over anime
Wow your sister is almost as talented as the voice actors for managing to recognise them so fast haha! I used to watch all my anime (except seasonals) in dub and wasn't until about a year ago I switched to sub so I'm still not great at picking up on their voices though there are a few I can recognise instantly like matching Yor and Shinobu (ds) and any character that Yuuma Uchida voices honestly. Yuri's I would've recognised as familiar but I think without searching up before I wouldn't have been able to match him to Floch and Riku. With some vas you'd never guess they voice those 2 characters because of their incredible range!

Hahaha, now that’s just mean, honestly i think Chapter 11’s would’ve been a much more better one for a Episode to end on, but it seems like they went with the more comedic, as well as agitating, choice. Oh well🤷🏻♂️, it’s their show, they do what they want to a extent, so Episode 9, huh? Seems like a quite interesting one, based on the Preview, can’t wait to see it.

It would be really funny, if it was Twilight who wrote the Ostania's manual of deception. He is just the guy that could do it - both because writing questions-answers charts and diagrams is how he prepares his interactions - he likes to have all possibilities cowered and because giving such manual to his opponents means, he will easily spot them, when they use them. Especially, if they will not actualise the answers like Yuri didn't. It's lot easier to avoid being caught if you know who the hunters are...

I feel like that's the theme of the show is that literally every really important character is always gonna be a secret something... like Damian is the Son of the Big Bad... From what I understand at least in Japan addressing someone by their given name with no honorifics is like the sort of thing you do in private with a partner or a couple who's been together for a really long time. I don't know anything about the fictional country they're in but if it was made by a Japanese team then maybe they just brought that over and added it in?

I can’t believe my sister’s voice recognition in anything animated without looking it up is is ridiculous... she knew, the one that hired Yor in ep 2 was Sukuna’s VA from JJK, Camillla the blond coworker was actually Daki from Demon Slayer, hell Loid was the tuberculosis kid from Mugen Train and he’s also Julius the pruple haired knight of Anastasia from Re:zero, Damian is voiced by a woman... Anya that adorable child Was One of Tengens wives (ok that last one was the least obvious, she looked that up but still)
I don’t know if u already knew or if someone told you about the voices, but it just blew my mind... i watch my Anime in 3 different languages and it takes me the characters speaking for a few sentences or even a few episodes to recognise people... my sister gets them almost instantly not all of them but a lot of them but a lot of them... Kindof a random topic, but it goes to show, just how talented these va’s are all over anime
Wow your sister is almost as talented as the voice actors for managing to recognise them so fast haha! I used to watch all my anime (except seasonals) in dub and wasn't until about a year ago I switched to sub so I'm still not great at picking up on their voices though there are a few I can recognise instantly like matching Yor and Shinobu (ds) and any character that Yuuma Uchida voices honestly. Yuri's I would've recognised as familiar but I think without searching up before I wouldn't have been able to match him to Floch and Riku. With some vas you'd never guess they voice those 2 characters because of their incredible range!

Hahaha, now that’s just mean, honestly i think Chapter 11’s would’ve been a much more better one for a Episode to end on, but it seems like they went with the more comedic, as well as agitating, choice.
Oh well🤷🏻♂️, it’s their show, they do what they want to a extent, so Episode 9, huh? Seems like a quite interesting one, based on the Preview, can’t wait to see it.
