- It's the final episode of the first cour, I'm so saddd :( but it's okay because we're getting more Spy x Family in October which isn't too far away. And as always, this episode was great and ended this part off really well with a mix of spy stuff and cute family stuff - it really is spy x family hahaha! Loid despite being exhausted was sooo cool but really poor guy, give him a break please. Anya helping with the mission and being her adorable self! And Yor unknowingly helping too by beating up the enemy, love it! Then the final part with playing pretend spies as a family. SO WHOLESOME. God I love this anime, let the tortuous wait commence. Hope you enjoy!

The recap is there because the first part of this episode is from a one shot chapter by the mangaka to introduce Spy x Family quickly to those who hadn't read the manga before. The last part of the episode is one of the "extra mission" chapters which are short side stories that are episodic in nature and don't usually impact the main story as much.
I read this in the Manga and I confused whether this is canon or not?

The Penguin feeding scene reminds me of the anime: The Aquatope on White Sands if anyone has seen that. lol. Lmao you just mentioned it! No way, I am surprised.
Last aquarium I went to was the Aquarium of the Bay in SF with my family and it was amazing. Took the wifey to Pier 39 and it was there. But damn that was over 10 yrs ago lol.
Loid with his memory, remembering al their names lol. Anya is the freaking best in this ep lol. "I'm being kidnapped" is one of the best scenes from her lol. Yor being the robot was absolutely hilarious. She immediately read what Loid was doing and chimed in lol.

The recap at the beginning actually feels like it belongs to the start of the 2nd cour just in case we forgor haha but I'm glad we're gonna start the 2nd cour the way it is gonna be. Can't wait to see more cool and absurd missions, more wholesome stories, and more interesting characters! And of course nothing beats more cute Anya!

I really loved this anime and got really invested in this "family" . They may not be a really family but I truly hope in the future they become one because they are just the best . And also I really wanna know what their reaction will be when they discover eachother true selves
To me they're already a real family, no family is more real than there's!! But yeah I want it to be reality too and yeah that's the thing I really want to see too!

I kinda wanted to see more Yor action :'). I love Yor's design. I'd like an episode only for her and her killings. Full action. We've only gotten something like that in ep 2. Hopefully, we get more Yor next part

As someone might have told you already, this episode adapted the Extra mission 8.5 (which is the aquarium visit) and the Extra chapter 15.5 (Anya playing with her stuffed toys and getting into trouble) of the manga.
And honestly? I love them! They show us more of this wonderful family!!
But one fun fact: There's another Extra Mission that occurs before chapter 15.5, i think is the chapter 15.1 but It is superwholesome and i was waiting to get adapted but wasn't, at least not yet. So i hope it can be adapted to the second half of the season. No spoilers of what it is! But i think you are gonna love it!!
Yeah there was another comment telling me the same thing. It's cool that they adapted the extras even if they're not plot relevant, it was fun to watch. Ooo I hope they adapt that extra mission too!

Spy X Family was the runaway best new show of the season, if not best show of the season overall. The day in the life of Twilight was an absolute hilariously wholesome experience. My sons and I were all saying how absolutely screwed over "the New Guy" was with the crazy high bar Twilight set. Again, we see how suspicious and petty the neighbors and coworkers are, and showing the family's reactions to their challenges is something else!
And for the last Anya Cute Counter for this cour.... Twelve!
For real!! I think it may be my overall fav of the season, either SxF or Kaguya definitely. I agree so cute and wholesome. Hahaha I was thinking the same thing, poor guy, no one can live up to Loid 😂 ugh the neighbours and coworkers, they have no right to judge our amazing family.

this is the first half of the anime, the second half starts in October
This episode felt like a catch-up episode for the viewer to get up to speed. I'm not a manga reader for this series, but if you told me this episode was 100% anime original, I would completely believe you.
Yeah it did feel that way but hey it was still fun
