Yeah. I didn't think about this until a month ago when I saw a news report on people in my city revolting against Air BnB (generally speaking, the older generation of people). I'm from San Diego, and a good percentage of housing here is up for Air BnB. Personally, I find the situation a little gray for a many reasons. But yes, I can see why some people are upset that potential permanent homes are out of reach for people that actually want to live and work in SoCal whether it be short or long term.

Nice tour thank you! You would think with all their money they would all get together and pave the road themselves. That's horrible the way it is...it makes the homes not look so nice when the road's not nice.. IMO. My favorites are the 1920-1940's era homes!
This is my hometown. I grew up poor in Beverly Hills ( yes, folks used to be able to manage that). These prices make my head spin. I left LA in 1989, so I'm a bit behind the times, you see, lol. We live in Southern Oregon now, not quite as perfect weather, but... almost. We are trying to sell our farm too, but nowhere near those prices, just 779k, lol. Love the tour of the old stomping ground . Brings back a lot of memories.
Mr. Choo FYI, Producer Ray Stark lived at 232 S. Mapleton Dr. from 1962-2004. TV personality Art Linkletter lived across the street from Ray Stark and actress Judy Garland lived approximately two doors down the street from Mr. Stark in the direction of Sunset Blvd. back in the 1960's. Judy's house was torn down some years ago and a more modern house was built in its place.
I enjoyed the personal tour Christophe, felt like I was actually there. I love driving through the Beverly Hills area to daydream. 🤔 Living in Las Vegas I don't get there as often as I would like. The last time I drove down Mapleton Drive was when the former home of Aaron Spelling was being built back in 1987. Keep the great videos coming! 👍

I find it utterly amazing that 99% of the people who own these mansions with their massive walls are against a boarder wall 🤔🤔🤔 🤔 Is that hypocritical or what ?
Guarantee you all the private security signs say "Armed Response" on them. I wonder how that aligns with the owners' views on gun control (especially the women)?
Love this street, I can see why you advised people to buy there. Between Puff Daddy's, Mancuso's, and the former Spelling's home... wow. The bumps in the road would not bother me if I was living there lol, that's to prevent speeding anyways. Prime real estate right there, great video.
I think 377 S Mapleton, home of Mancuso, was used as a location in the 1963 Doris Day hit "Move Over Darling" with James Garner. The house actually is a different house (the one in the movie probably torn down years ago to make way for a larger home) but at that location because in one scene you see children boarding a school bus and there's a street sign that can be seen... Mapleton and Wyton. And the slope of the hills today is unchanged. Interiors and pool scenes were done on sound stages. "Move Over Darling" is the film Marilyn Monroe started but never finished under the title "Something's Gotta Give" in 1962. In 1963 it was repackaged as a Doris Day vehicle. The story is a remake of the 1939 Cary Grant Irene Dunne comedy hit "My Favorite Wife".

Dear Christophe Choo,
I keenly watch all your videos more particularly relating to Beverly Hills and surrounding areas.
Though i'm a mere mortal and simply do not belong to million dollars class, however your videos makes me escape from reality and give my brain a soothing pleasant time.
May god bless you with great business and great videos for us from you.

Glad you enjoyed it
"Most of these are just vacation homes." And people wonder how revolutions get started.
Great job. Enjoyed very much.
Thank you very much!
You have depth in your knowledge of area real estate. Great video!

Nice tour thank you! You would think with all their money they would all get together and pave the road themselves. That's horrible the way it is...it makes the homes not look so nice when the road's not nice.. IMO. My favorites are the 1920-1940's era homes!
I have blown out four tires on these roads.
@@Christophechoo this genuinely makes me mad.
Hello sunangel. Did you sell your farm?
Mr. Choo FYI,
Producer Ray Stark lived at 232 S.

It should be labled a botany and landscaping tour.
I want to see the landscapers home.
Very nice tour! The homes and Landscape is beautiful. Very lucky people who own these homes. 🍀❤️🙏🏻They are blessed to be wealthy.
Well said!
Love this video. More streets and more videos please!

Some seriously Million Dollar Listings Mapleton. Thanks for sharing.
Great tour! You would think for those prices that they would pave the road! One of many reasons I prefer Orange County, but this geoengineered drought has me wanting to leave this once beautiful state altogether. I can’t take the aluminum nano-haze and whited out skies any longer, not to mention all the dying trees and fires.
It is really beautiful to see such unique Hoouses. I am free real estate owner and we are not have such Proberty´s in Germany with a lot of Ground. So it was very excited for me to get a little view of famous People residence here in L.A. Thank you

As one of the tour guides who frequents Mapleton Dr often, I can certainly verify your correct info. I also learned a little too. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, I will do an updated version soon as so much has changed.
Great video.. Thanks for sharing ;)
Whats the reason they still have a public park, if the homeowners have a own park in their own property 😂😅
Maybe the park is so a celeb can 'accidentally' be photographed by a paparazzo.
thnx for this awesome tour !
Glad you enjoyed it!
I find it utterly amazing that 99% of the people who own these mansions with their massive walls are against a boarder wall 🤔🤔🤔 🤔
Is that hypocritical or what ?
Genes interesting
Brings back memories of driving down these streets as a child...
That's cool that your parents let you drive the car when you were just a child
So basically its a bunch of front gates...
Yes, people in this area want complete privacy.
Fantastic video. Class act and great history on those properties!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Guarantee you all the private security signs say "Armed Response" on them.
Is anyone paying property taxes?! Fix those streets!
I know! The City of L.A., have to have because their taxes are HIGH!!
Very nice video Christophe. You have a very pleasant speaking voice. When im ready to buy, I will give you a call.

“Puff Daddy” was about six names ago. He changes names like we change socks.
Brad Basham lol had no idea.
😂😂😂😂
Thank you for showing us substance and class
I jogged through that area in June, didn't know where I was as I was staying in the UCLA area. Found the people fairly friendly, I said 'good morning' to a lot of walkers and workers in the area. The lack of sidewalks was noticeable, and made sense...
lack of sidewalks made sense why?

With all that money they can't afford to fix the streets around their properties? Seriously, the streets in my neighborhood are far better than those. They should NOT be relying on the city to do it. They don't need government money to fix their streets. They are just lazy and cheap.
Has a nice cobblestone street look and feel
Using your own money once to repair the streets around your house and you can count on the city continue to do that.
Stop crying
Robin Redbreast They’re cheap because most of those people in those homes are Jewish.

Thanks, will do!
"City doesn't have much money it's just the owners do"
Where does property taxes go?
To many things, the roads seem to be last on the list.
That was a gorgeous tour of shrubs and walls.
That is the way this area is.
Nice hedges
Christophe Choo.....You are SO cute !!! We want to see more of you on TV !!! You have class, you are very handsome and professional. Your are a respectable and credible gentleman who dresses and acts like one. We need more people like you , especially in this increasingly casualized pop-culture world.
The 60 fps really pays off here.
