The Home Rule Act devolves certain powers of the United States Congress to the local government, which consists of a mayor and a 13-member council. However, Congress retains the right to review and overturn laws created by the council and intervene in local affairs.

the de, gov needs to be broken up and moved from DC. That way this area can become a state. The reason it can not is bec. the seat of national gov is HERE. it states in the constitution that the site of the fed, gov must be in a neutral place.That standard seems to apply.

If you just listen carefully to most of the current batch of elected members of our Congress and Senate, you will hear what I can only describe using one word, as an OMAN of things to come in America... It's like this feeling of dread, that's hard to describe but impossible to ignore. I think it comes from a trending in politics and politicians as of late... where it seems to be of more importance for them to just speak for the sake of speaking. Truth, Relevance, On Topic, Off Topic, having a legitimate point, or a meaningful point about the matter at hand, is no longer even considered. The poster boy for that point is Raskin. Im not sure what ailment afflicts him, but he just really can't help himself...😅 My original point is that, We The People, elected them to their positions, and for many of them, a lot of times !!! Really, what's up with that ??? And now, as so easily predictable, we have elected ourselves, our children, their children, etc.... Into a position of do or die. That is not an exaggeration or even a stretch of the words, it is as true as any truth ever spoken ! We are now voting in the upcoming elections for our own lives and the continued existence of our country, America 🇺🇸. And again, no truer words have ever been spoken... If you don't step up and vote, Pro-American candidates into office, the current movement, perhaps defined as the Collective Left (featuring the Democrats), have a totally self-serving, America Last by any means possible, total Global Elitist Agenda, they can't wait to impose upon us. We The People and our future existence are what's really on the upcoming ballots. I say that now to point out the obvious, what is the biggest thing the Collective Left, are attempting to manipulate and alter ??? Yes, it's our Free And Fair Elections. Why do you think our borders are wide open ??? And why does the left not care about the daily murders of over 300 young Americans by Fentanyl ? Why are they racing to register 10's of thousands of these Illegal and Unconstitutional aliens to fraudulently vote in our American elections ??? Why is the Left spending on and enriching these same Illegal Aliens far beyond what they will do for our own American Veterans ??? And by the way, the government is borrowing from China (an act that will put us in a state of perpetual and never ending debt), and spending our hard earned tax dollars, to buy these Illegal and Unconstitutional votes. Can't you see, they are doing this on purpose to destroy America and the American People, to eventually, (if their successful), not to govern, but rather to, Rule Over Us.😢 🇺🇸
