Hey Brandon - great video! I had asked you for this before and you delivered! Thank you for giving the people what they want! Do you use bands much these days? I’d love to see a similar video and how you like to set those up
I've used the EliteFTS EZ Loaders for a long time and have never had an issue with them sliding off. Do you mean during sets or progressively over the course of a squat session?
I use a similar product from Sorinex --> Sorinex Daisy Chains. They are currently around $33 for a pair and pretty versatile (also won't mess up your bar).
Hey Brandon, while watching the video I couldn't stop looking at that white weight tree that wou had at the brackground. What brand is it? Thanks alot!
Totally agree😊 I’ve tried several options and the Spud strap is the easiest to use. The only thing I do differently is that I put the strap just inside the collars on the actual bar. This probably only works on narrower racks like REP, but this way I don’t have to unload the chains to add weight plates to the bar. Great video👍👍👍
@@BasementBrandon Totally. I squat outside of a 47 inch Rep rack with spotter arms, so no worries about hitting the rack. Definitely wouldn’t want to hit the lower crossmembers with the chains!!
I actually fund some chain collars on Amazon. They have a thumb screw to lock them in place on the bar. I use them with the leader chain and I put painters tape on the chain where I need to connect it.
Any chance you could do a short video on using the Heavy Hangers with bands? I recently got them and I'm still trying to find the best way to attach bands. I also have a Rogue rack, so I'm running into the issue of not being able to face them inwards as they were intended. Thanks!!
I can try. I imagine if you're able to use a bar with thicker collars, or create a fake collar by adding small change plates on first that it may help.
Comprehensive! I just tie together some figure 8 lifting straps and connect it to some monster d shackles I had hanging around and feed the bolt through the chains 😅
For me I feel like it keeps me more stable and helps with my movement patterns (anecdotal). Not sure if it actually is making me stronger, but it's a fun exercise and I enjoy it, so that's enough for me.
I have the Spud Inc looper straps and love them for all the reasons you mentioned. The main reason I bought them is because Rogue Canada sells them, so they were the cheapest, best option for me.
the spud inc is really overpriced compared to a regular old nylon daisy chain/yoga strap you get from the hardware store or amazon. you can get a pair for like $20 and they have more than enough weight handling. have squatted with 200 lbs of chain no issues and secured with regular old nylon loop tow straps that are like $5
The people want videos like this. Harkens back to the Cambell Fitness days.
You mean super niche topics only 5 people care about?! 🤡
@@BasementBrandon nah your back to regular chains ⛓️ no shrouds

Not as often, harder to measure band tension so I tend to avoid it lol.
Man those hansu chrome plates look so good, i wish they sold them separately, cuz i dont need 459 kilos (i aint that strong)
Spoiler alert, me either!
I wonder if climbing daisy chains would work as well. They look pretty similar to the Spud inc straps.
Wouldn't be surprised!

He clearly doesn’t know how to use it, the EZ straps should be put either first or after the last plate then the collars
@pontus.andersson I must have overlooked that part, thanks.
I mention that's what youre supposed to do in the video 🤪

Nice, haven't seen those before. Thanks for the heads up.
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but Brandon talking chains excites me ⛓⛓
We in it now!
I’d buy the elite FTS straps from you if you don’t use them anymore.
Gave them away!
Hey Brandon, while watching the video I couldn't stop looking at that white weight tree that wou had at the brackground. What brand is it? Thanks alot!
It's a techno gym tree. It has a ridiculous MSRP of like $4,000 but I found one used for $250 lol.
Prime Fitness has quick connect collars. Work well with chains.
I like those but would still need to use/adjust leader chains.
I used a pair of hammock strap. Its cheap, get the job done. No metal to metal contact, have few option mounting point
Smart!

Yeah I would worry I'd be on the rack, but makes sense!

Great video! Do you know if the rogue chain hanger fits the pr5000?
I have not tested, but it should.
thanks! never sure with the conversions@@BasementBrandon
😵💫...I old and weak and to go through this process wouldn't work for me...But then again I don't compete. Always enjoy the content
I'm right there with ya!
Did you ever consider the Proloc 2 collars?
I have not.
Great info! I have yet to train with chains and thanks to you, I'll be efficient when I do.
It's a really fun variation, plus looks cool 😅

Right on!
If you get a 6-pack of 1x12" soft loop tie down straps, you can accomplish the same thing for $7... 3 looped together per side.
Nice!

Simple enough!
Loved this video. How has chains helped your training vs typical overload with adding more weight on the bar?
It does look very cool

I have been looking at the henny straps lately, and those straps from spud Inc look just like them. As always, thanks for sharing.
Sure thing dude!

Nice!!
I had the spud straps but the stitchiny wore out after a year. I stick to the leader chain and have it next to the collars with plates on the outside.
Did you see if they'd replace them under warranty?
Didn’t realize there were so many options for hanging chains! Great vid
This is america, where no solution is simple. 🤪
Keep doing your great work. Much appreciated!
Thanks for taking a look!
Spud makes the best stuff. He's still training!
Hope to do the same when I'm his age!
why not use a regular metallic clip collar with a carabiner ?
I don't see how that would be a better option.
Love this!
Thanks for taking a look!
ohhhhhh first
