@@0fenser it’s a handshake between the two, you’ll pretty much always be throttled by ram unless you have 64. However it’s only really noticeable if you as low as 16. Also depends on how much lifting your cpu is doing(mine is surprisingly tough, so I was also able to get away with 16 pretty easily)

Turn on disc caching. Sounds like you need to tune your sim. Keep in mind commercial productions do everything they can to avoid the impact of massive datasets, learn those tricks and everything will work better.
@@coovv685Friend, I didn't research much about graphics cards for Blender and now I'm also with an RX 580, can you tell me your experience how you handled Blender, did you render with the CPU or did you use an older version?
I have 32gb. A really good amount, even counting that 8gb is allocated to my Vega 8 integrated graphics.(When will my torment end?) It's not often when I experience lack of ram.
@@MiSo-gb2zq no external gpu is sad, amd's integrated gpu or even intel's only takes you so far with extremely limited capabilities, from low-poly 2d renders to some photoshopping. Physics Simulation works perfectly with 8 gigs of ram for me.
Physics Simulation is more CPU intensive

Same 😭😭
32 is enough for simulations, but if you work in a company, 64gb worth it

Everything working for me with my 8GB ram pc:
🔥🔥🔥
When you say ram , are you talking about vram or just laptop ram
Me who only has 16gb of ram: should I upgrade or no. Nah.
Also me 15 days after finishing a project: 1 fps, no ram, computer explodes.
Animation in Grease Pencil?
I use 4gb to make animation...💀

I have 64gb and it's enough
Can you help my blender on my laptop because it does not work😢
Fluid 8000gb
Ok cause i have 16 and I was unsure if that was enough
The Ram ranges used in the vid are wayyy too broad. A difference of 16-64gb? Not the most accurate measurement to say the least.
Looks like I need an upgrade. Simulations lag a lot.
how much do/did you have?
