  • this was made for Facebook but I thought I would add it to youtube. this is a strip down and little chat about it and a quick start up. but due to distractions I forgot some info I wanted to give. simple one is the inlet and out let tube are 1", fuel in take is 6mm mild steel. I also noted a leak from the gasket so that really needs replacing.

    Wonderful little stove you have here, I'll be using it as inspiration to fabricate my own.

    Thanks for the video! Very cool lil unit, if I remember right the key to a clean glass is another air intake that flows directly on the inside of the glass.

      Cheers I'll give that a try.

    a trick stove manufacturers use to keep the glass clean is directing pre heated air at it

    Brilliant, exactly the kind of size I was looking to build. Was worried it wouldnt be hot enough to heat my 5m x 3.5m shed but that's looking quite promising really.

      Yeah I have my door open next to it and I still stay toasty

    ♡Your design!
    I plan 2 make a small one like this for an RV I'm restoring to live in full time sadly.
    I've done quite a bit of research on these in many different size's with the exception of Yours🖒
    might i suggest instead of using the blower ... & try just a bottom feed for your air draw, with about a 1/2" ~ 1" copper tube or whatever on hand not sure how long maybe start with a couple ft? then on inside a little rack or broken bits of brick 4 a tiny stainless cup/bowl for that oil feed that also needs extended to reach bowl ... whoops!
    Sorry for all the Eye bleed text! Just like to help & see this work proper it should!
    Good luck!

      Thanks for watching. Yeah I'm moving in a different direction when I build my next heater, no forced air just natural up draught

    What is your next project, to build a steam locomotive and use this to heat the boiler :) Just amazing job you have done Sir ! I cracked up laughing when you told us the last blower melted ! :) I take it that is acts as a shield to stop that happening again, at first I thought it was the handle to make it portable :) I have got to try and make something like this. What a great upload. Thank you.

      Yeah it's a shield. You should have seen the look I gave it when I turned round to see why I could feel a chill. I'm working on a new heater idea but its led me to needing a tube bender so I'm working on that now. Cheers for watching

    Does it create a lot off smoke?

    • @smithbuilt
      @smithbuilt  11 месяцев назад +1

      No not really so long as the air fuel mix is good its very clean. There are videos that show the top of the flue while it's running but I'm not sure what one it is

      Thank you very much dude I am building one right as we speak is nearly done all thanks to you! I'll send you some pics if you like, also how did you put that plate off metal on the bottom side to the base,

      @smithbuilt  9 месяцев назад

      @BrewBeginner erm my guess is you mean the bottom that I unbolt? If so it's done with a welded fangled type joint. Hope it works well for you mate, yeah send some photos over it's always interesting to see people's interpretation, thanks for watching
