What do you think my mate? Thank you!! Its not as painful now, fingers crossed it stays that way! Lol Hope your doing alright too my mate
Another great video as usual Jonny. Things a lot different with all the tech these days. That land is like a beach compared to the lovely stone ground I used to plough in the north east of Scotland. Keep up the good work.
Thanks George! Your right about the beach! It's some extremely light land at the top end of that field, not the easiest of stuff to plough, it like to bulldoze instead of turnover. But the field next door is nothing but some seriously stiff red clay...amazing how quickly the soil types change in a small area.
Seen Georgie Saunders ploughing this week with.a Fastrac n smaller kneverland . This is a really tough piece of kit to be getting your head round , fair fucks to Jonny1388 , good operator on the 1050 . Boys be packin BIG HORSE 🐴 POWER ☝️
How’s it going Jonny, love watching your ploughing vids, I’ve been ploughing 25 years, but only 4 years with an RW, 5+3, no press, and 936, and have surprisingly been 100% converted to a semi, I find being able to lower or raise the front middle and back independently is a god send, especially on “scoots” as we call them down here in Norfolk😁 so from one modest ploughman to another (I’m always learning) you’ve got that spot on.. and I’m chuffed you do the same as I do...
Hi Neil! That's like music to my ears (or words to my eyes) to see you do the same thing as myself, especially after 25yrs of ploughing. It was a steep learning curve for myself as this is the first semi mounted/wagon plough the farm has bought. They always used to run multiple smaller fully mounted ploughs, so when the RW turned up I had nobody to ask for advice or tips. It was a "just get on with it" sort of affair. Had half a day with Roger from kverneland getting it all set/built up and was let loose, and I'm learning each and every single day. I'm constantly trying to tweak the way I do things and experiment, I'm not ashamed to admit I don't know everything, I just thoroughly enjoying using it and take a lot of pride in my work, which sounds exactly Iike yourself!? So it really is great to hear someone with 25yrs experience say what you just said. Completely agree about the "scoots" you have sooooo much more control over what your doing having 3 different lower/raise points on the plough. Thanks ever so much for the comment Neil, great to hear from you! Take care my mate
