It's so warm ..seeing people trying to pick up the broken parts of others while themselves being shattered.
This is the first time anybody, even somebody that I know, has noticed that I am trying to pick up the pieces of my life. I know you don't know me, but somehow, someway, your comment has made me feel that my struggles are valid. That my efforts, struggles, and setbacks are real. More so that I haven't been doing nothing, even if the results aren't here yet. So wherever you are in the world, thank you.

I visualize our lives as houses : each life is a house. Some are big and luxurious, some are small and modest, while some are completely destroyed : but they’re still here. Every house has a spot, and no one can tell otherwise. And while some people destroy intentionally other houses, others are ready to repair people’s houses even if it means endangering their houses’ stability. Why is it the bigger houses that can have an influence on smaller houses ? Why can’t we all just live in a peaceful neighborhood ?

I feel a void in my heart for many reasons, but tonight it's worse. I was working at the pub, and like every weekend there's this guy who orders just a burger. Everytime, while he waits for his burger he talks with me or my colleagues, or at least he tries. He always does a lot of questions that may seem dumb and has a funny sleepy face and no one really want to talk with him. I'm 21, he's probably 18, and I felt very sorry this evening because we always talk shit about him just because he's curious and naive. Tonight I think he heard us, I could see it on his face, he was embarassed and sad. I immediately stopped and felt very guilty, because I tought "he's just like me". I was bullied, I've got low self-esteem, I should know how does it feel to be on the other side, but I acted just like my bullies. Next time I wanna say sorry, I will never hurt him again...
For those who wanna know, it ended well. I said sorry and this will be a reminder for me to be always respectful. Maybe one day we'll become friends, who knows? He's a nice guy :)
I think your brave for owning up to your actions sometimes that’s all we can do. It’s good you recognized those feelings. Maybe you two could become friends. I believe “Im sorry” is the most two powerful words we humans could say.

It might help if you remember you and your colleagues talked smack about him for the same reason he always tries to talk to you: You're both (or all, really) looking to connect with other humans. (From the way you sound in your comment, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have talked smack about him if it wasn't to feel like part of the group you were with. That's usually mean, but it's also really common, and the fact that you caught yourself is a definite plus.) Your description of the guy reminds me of a friend of mine who's on the autism spectrum. He has a hard time socially and some of the questions he asks do sound dumb, but he's also one of the kindest people I know, and he doesn't lie because he literally sees no value in it. It makes him incredibly good at being a friend. If you get the chance to say you're sorry - and I do hope you do - I'd definitely try talking to the guy for real. Answer his questions as if they weren't dumb, then ask him about himself. You can get decent conversations out of little stuff like "Where do/did you go to school?" or "What kind of music do you like?"; it may help him relax and feel less awkward, and if you know him as a person, and your colleagues know that, they're less likely to talk smack about him. Good luck to both you and him!
i can't stand it. i've been having a really hard time mentally and physically lately. not only are the headaches and weakness constant, but the thoughts in my head are becoming more and more depressing. i feel bad because i don’t feel. nothing. i cannot feel joy and satisfaction, curiosity and wonder, affection and love. i'm scared that i'll never feel anything human.
derealisation is also human emotion. I wish you all well. It will get better, trust me, you might not see it but it will!

I feed squirrels and was sitting on the edge of my deck this morning, holding a walnut out hoping one of the two squirrels in front of me would take it. They were too frightened to get close (though I’ve been feeding them generously for years), but then I felt a nudge in my back. It was another squirrel. it hurts that i give myself comfort and happiness daydreaming about the memories we didnt make, i catch myself smiling everytime i do that. i think about the sweet moments we shared and im reminded of the times you hurt and lied to me. everything we fought about, all the times you made me cry, you'll never have to repeat that process with your new partner. everything i wanted from you, everything i begged you to give me, you're going to give it to her without her having to ask you. i wish i never knew you, i wish i never spoke to you that day, i wish i left you alone.

so for those who need it, dont let the weights of life drag away your hopes and dreams, though you cant see it, there will always be a light at the edge of the tunnel, even if for a split moment then the tunnel comes back, those little moments of light should be your reason to keep going and thrive. when im having a hard day, or hard week, hard month or hard year, i live by these words: "keep pushing so you can see better days."
as much as it feels like those days wont come, out of the 80years of experiences we get to have on this planet, one of them will contain joy and happiness, even if fleeting. the simple fact that youre still here after all the experiences youve gone through should be seen as an achievement. cuz guess what? you pushed through those hard times behind you, which means you can push through the hard times to come.
optimism is your friend on days like these. as long as you dont use it to avoid the negative emotions, it will bring just that littlest bit of light. its hard to find a good side to everything, but it will help loads. ive used optimism through my hard days and it made them feel just a little bit better.

I am here experiencing the darkest of the darkest time. So dark. I said about my past trauma and my current mental health ( suicidal thoughts) to my classmate girl, she dislikes me now.
She talks very nice to other classmates who bullied me, and teased her. Most hurting thing is she too experienced all these stuffs. But isn't helping. Just true friendship can heal
The cold’s always been there. I’m just more open to it now than ever. I’ve spent 19 Valentine’s Days in a row alone. Thats my whole life. No partner. Very few friends. Very little hope for the future. Life just feels numb right now. All the excitement and whimsy I had for this world once is now tucked away, deep in a damaged part of my heart that will probably never see the light of day again. I don’t know how much longer I can fake it. I don’t know how much longer I can go on.

This is what filled my void, it was this hope, that this isnt all there is, its not all cold and treacherous, there is genuine love, care, and warmth, in and only in Jesus Christ, and now my purpose is telling people about this, so they can fill their void as well.

Man.. to see how kind people are being in the comments is so uplifting. I had my heart broken terribly and suddenly 7 months ago by the greatest love of my life and I don’t think I’ll ever recover from it. I don’t think I’ll ever love someone like I love him, so my hopes for the future feel completely shattered now and I don’t know what to do. I haven’t heard a word from him and not even an apology. I've been a weird person back in the teenage years, my voice didn't change like all my classmates and I was constantly harassed and bullied for years. A couple of months ago, one of those bullies found my number and called me an tried to apologize for his behavior, I know I haven't been a normal kid for gods sake I didn't deserved to be made fun of all the time. I feel a void in my heart, I don't like anybody. I can't trust anyone, people gonna hurt me, I'm broken...
This is one of the saddest ambient playlists I have heard. Still good, but very depressing.
As a "stranger... that travels to strange lands"... I have had to leave my loves behind... many times.
Each time I depart, knowing that my return will bring me back to "new" people, a part of my heart dies; it is filled with a new void each time.
This void is filled with pain, regret, loneliness, and fear... these were not the feelings I had in my youth, no... these are the feelings of an older, wiser, more caring, and compassionate person... a person that actually has things to lose.
If, I were to ever lose those, those precious things... those things that I value more than my own safety, my own comfort... there would be a void in me bigger than even I dare imagine... and that my friends... trying to peer into that void... terrorizes me; for I know, within that void... I don’t feel like anything can fill it but also thinkin that there should be a purpose of this feeling. So instead of filling it, I am trying to find the purpose of it :) maybe one day…

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a story about my daughter, who was an incredible piano player since she was five. Her music filled our home with joy. But tragically, her younger brother's jealousy led him to cut off her fingers while she slept. It's a nightmare that shattered our family. I hold onto memories of her sweet smile, but the pain is indescribable. It's a reminder of the darkness within us all. 💔
