I use a little syringe and load the sealant into it, then use a blunt tip large gauge needle on that to reach all the way down around the tube you can sculpt a perfect little dam that way. Ive also had success using jb weld in a syringe to seal the middle section, with jb you dont have to worry about it not having enough air time to cure. I use a 1ml syringe if you go too large on the syringe it gets difficult to force sealant through a needle. I hope others find your video helpful! No reason to blow 450 on heated bars they really aren't hard to make.
Selkirk has them if you call and ask. Otherwise I see them online as well if you Google 5/8-11 you can find steel plugs. Probably cheaper going that route.
Yes, I have a on/off switch up near the gas tank so I can slow the flow down or even turn it off. The watt-man thermobob allows a small amount of coolant to seep past the tstat to prevent dead heading the water pump while the tstat is in the closed position.
Awesome video! Great money saver for creating a snow bike!

That’s an excellent idea with the syringe!
Great video!
Thanks!
awesome vid just question about the 5200 glue.. would that not eventually fall apart and run into the coolant system?
It’s held up so far. Whatever you decide to use that is a concern to not have it break apart and block the flow of coolant.
That's some fairly serious sealant. I would highly doubt there would be any chance of it failing or coming apart
Awesome video , where did you find the 5/8” counter sunk plugs?

Awesome thanks man got my build out for its first test ride today I’m in northern b.c.
Awesome video!
Is there a coolant valve or setup for warmer weather or is this an on or off thing?
