I wonder why they didn't support the high end codecs that the ROG phone supports like I believe Aptx Lossless LDAC etc? I may be mistaken on which exact codecs
I just wish the mic was a tiny bit better. I understand that’s difficult to do with earbuds, but these woulda been an insta buy for me if the mic was a little better
it's true, most wireless earbud now still suffer weak mic performance, with the mic distance from our mouth. If manufacturer add mic extension, would need more bulky build and aesthetically weird.
Perfect analysis was everything I was looking for to resolve my doubts. This will be used for games and listening to music on your smartphone. I was in doubt between ASUS ROG Cetra in Speed x JBL Tour Pro 2, although JBL has 6 microphones and has better quality. But I think I'll go with the Asus Rog.
Great video watched it even though I can’t use them for Xbox. Lol with that being said! SteelSeries is releasing a pair called Arctis Gamebuds for Pc,PS, and Xbox! Think you might do a review? They come out this month!
Torn between Apple earpod pro's and these at the moment. I really love sound quality above all else! I have the iphone 15 pro and have pre ordered the Ally X and need a pair of earbuds to use on both devices frequently. This will be my first time buying earbuds of any kind as I am an avid pc gamer who uses headphones primarily. Also a first time apple and iphone user so my experience with airpods are 0, but from a lot of reviews they seem to be really great in terms of sound quality and soundscape out the box... I am a noob when it comes to tinkering with the settings to get the perfect sound. Your review saying these are a pretty close to earpods just makes it even harder now! The biggest benefit I see from these are the playpack time, pods only have like 5 hours (which in many gaming scenarios I will use the Ally X for is more than enough)
If you will be predominantly using it with your iPhone I’d probably get AirPod pros. If it’s pretty split between both devices I would go with the ROG.
what you really should consider is if you use discord or any coms while gaming, if you dont have a 2.4 dongle you will loose major audio quality because of bluetooth connection as soon as you start using your microphone.
I have these earbuds and I've been loving them. But they don't fit my ear as well as i'd like, and the problem is I cannot figure out how to change the ear tips that it comes with. The tips seems to be really stuck on (almost glued on?) Have you tried changing the tips?
Great detailed review, if i may ask, i have an ipad pro which i only use for gaming ( pubg mobile) and I've never owned a wireless earbuds/ headphones before, I've only used wired sets, I'm considering this product because i want earbuds which i can use for my ipad while gaming and for my windows laptop and Samsung phone for the rest of the time. My question, will it have lag / delay when playing on the ipad via Bluetooth? And can i use the dongle on the ipad usb hub, or it wouldn't work at all. I'm sorry for the long comment, but i wanted to give you the picture of what I'll be buying it for, i don't want my first earbuds purchase to be a complete waste. Thanks again for the video ❤
How well do these hold up with more competitive games that might require really good quality headphones to pick up subtitles sounds, footsteps or whatever else?
With adjustments in the software it rivals the high end headsets I’ve used. The 2.4ghz connection is the same as those headsets. The main difference would be the 40mm drivers on those would allow for louder sound but since these are in your ear it somewhat evens that out.
@@1UpNerdcore I've been running some steelseires arctis pros for about 5 years. I don't have problems with them, but I'm just looking around for an upgrade and also maybe something different. Thank you!
Currently have these earbuds and while they work great, it has developed a charging problem ever since I updated the firmware via Armoury Crate and has hindered my experience with it. Did you update the firmware and if so, did you experience any problems? The issue I'm experiencing is either the earbuds will not charge even when placed inside the case or the case will not charge at all when the USB cable plugged in. Though it says charging and the lights on the case comes on it will not charge, and therefore I would have to unplug the cable and reconnect it multiple times just to get it work is annoying. Prior to the firmware update it worked perfectly without any issues.
I have the original Cetra True Wireless and thinking to get these purely for the mic, if I use this via USB on my Ally will the mic work along with good audio like any other usb wireless headset? Or is it gonna work like bluetooth where the mic only works but with bad audio
Curious if these earbuds work independently of each other. The primary use for these for me would be during my job where i can only wear one at a time. Would they work if the left is in my ear and the right is in the case and vice versa?
Hi, thanks for review but i've a question? watching the table of battery life in the part of 2.4Ghz you didn't do any mention of RGB off, there is no option to turn it off the RGB with 2.4Ghz connection?
I’m waiting on Amazon UK to release these, can’t wait to get a set, I’d also like to know was you connected via Bluetooth to the phone or 2.4? As only the iPhone 15 has the usbc so anything older it’s Bluetooth only and the mic sounds trash
@@1UpNerdcore yer I’ve seen afew reviewers using the 2.4 on the 15 and they sound so much better, sound and mic wise, shame a lightning to usbc adaptor doesn’t work for the 14 or below, Bluetooth is cack for mic on discord on iPhone
does the earbuds will ignore the music while you are talking with someone? like the cetra true wireless? or does it work both ways by listening to music while calling?
I’m not sure. There’s no button to click for this. My just does it but I’ve noticed it’s when I pause the input on one device and start using the other that it just switches
Either you have a defective pair or the device you are trying to use it on has Bluetooth issues. Try it on multiple devices, if they all sound bad then have Asus replace them.
Thanks a lot - you created the best and most comprehensive review of these TWS!
Thank you 🙏🏼

Excited to see how SteelSeries Gamebuds perform or if they’ll sound any better

Have you ever tried the first generation cetra? If you have, how is the audio quality comparison?
I haven’t unfortunately

It should work 👍🏻 in regards to lag personally I didn’t notice any when using this on any of my Apple devices

It had good audio when I played games with the mic on but the mic is a earbud mic so it won’t best a regular headset

It’s an option in the armory crate software
does turning on the anc lower the volume while listening to in-game audio/music?
No, it doesn’t adjust the volume but anc will make it sound louder since it won’t be competing with any ambient noise

Are these better then Razer Hammerhead Pro HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Earbuds?
I haven’t used those before so I can’t speak on them but these are top notch earbuds.
does the earbuds will ignore the music while you are talking with someone? like the cetra true wireless? or does it work both ways by listening to music while calling?
I’m not 100% sure but when using these on PC for a zoom call if I press the touch button it’ll play Spotify music over the zoom call
What about volume? I use ROG 8 pro with ONEPLUS buds 2 pro and I don't have enough volume in my headphones and I can't increase it.
These are on par with other earbuds I’ve reviewed. Maybe slightly louder but I don’t think it’ll be what you’re needing.
I might have missed this in the video but can you use the left earbud without using the right?
Yes 👍🏻
Do you think they are better than AirPods Pro 2 ?
No
@@1UpNerdcore depends for gaming they are, airpods dont have 2.4hz
Does Tempest work on the PS5 with these?

Hey, does it work with Tempest on the PS5? Thank you!
I was looking the razer hyperspeed and its battery life is just 3 hours with all extras turned off
Is this one’s better?
Yes, I cover battery life specifics in the video 👍🏻
how loud does these buds go? i cant find any headphone sensitivity related to this product on paper
They get quite loud, especially with ANC active. Not the loudest I’ve used but comparable to regular AirPods
@@1UpNerdcore thank you sir
So if you use the dongle, you can't charge the rog ally?
Not simultaneously unless you buy a splitter but I’m not sure how well that would work with power charging

No 👍🏻
Sony Playstation vs rog witch one is better?
For what specifically?
I can't find and video compare the 2 of them
