- How and why have I missed this underrated movie?! *MEGAMIND* Actually DESERVES more love! I'm doing a movie reaction/first time watching of MEGAMIND (2010), and this is a surprisingly good animated superhero comedy that has more layers than what it seems. Had a really good time watching this film!

Underrated?
Fun Fact: In the early portion of the movie, when Megamind has Metro Man trapped in the real abandoned observatory, look closely at the scene where the images of Megamind and Metro Man are being projected upon the buildings. Just after Megamind orders Minion to fire the death beam, there is a single frame where Metro Man fades slightly from the observatory screen and reappears faintly behind Megamind on the opposite screen. This foreshadowed Metro Man faking his death through superspeed.
Yeah, like critics didn't love it and audiences were fine with it when it came out, at least that's what I've read online. I see that is has grown a strong following.
And that's neat! Love the attention to detail
I watched this first time back in college and I really find it back then as just funny enough... But now that im kinda older, i realized how deep the themes are and how well written the characters. :) I like it better now especially after watching your reactions. :)

I really enjoyed this reaction. It's always fun seeing how invested you get in the the series/movies you watch.
I really like this movie and it's message. All the characters are fun, and the story while it's not groundbreaking it's still unique and different from other movies, it's a concept we don't see that often and the way the creators executed was great, the comedy was good, and the music it's top tier.
This was such a fun video and I had a great time watching it. I died with the Vaatu-kite comparasion 😂

9:24 Dreamworks has a lot of epic villains but Hal always came off as the scariest to me personally (Doesn't even deserve the title 'epic' but definitely the 'creepiest') because he was so realistic - he's exactly the type of person adults tell girls to beware of since we're very little, especially because of their 'nice guy' demeanor😬
9:57 Bernard's whole energy is a mood in itself honestly, reminds me of the deadpan twins from LOK🌊👀
Ohhhhhjjhg I forgot how good the soundtrack picks were😫 YES
21:28 I didn't understand Metro - excuse me - MUSICman's side completely as a kid but I really can relate now. He found a new passion for music specifically BECAUSE he's so bad at it, and I found that to be quite admirable for his character.
I love the how the color of Roxanne's dress shows her conflict or her general stance on Megamind - The first scene we see her wearing red and rooting for Metroman, she's wearing purple on her date with "Bernard", until finally she's with Megamind in the last scene wearing blue💙

Hahaha right? I mean, he just didn't find any purpose in doing what people wanted him to do for so long that he kind of lost himself, it's actually a pretty meaningful thing to say in this type of movie and it's greatly appreciated!

Always loved the fact that Metroman referred to Meganind as “little buddy” toward the end. You can tell that their entire sparring relationship was an extreme form of playing. 😆
That was such a great subversion of the plot and dynamic! Love how much fun this movie has with twisting tropes the whole way through and do it so well 🙌
