    8:40 triple line fault is the severest fault a power system can witness (even though system is balanced before and after the fault)

    Why the symmetrical fault is not the most occurring fault?

      These faults are happening to cables and overhead lines due to natural disasters or mainly human excavations so the electricity will be cut or shorted by the protection equipments before the three lines will be touched and the earth it’s faster than you imagine.. it will black out in parts of seconds just between the first touch between one phase With earth or neutral or another phase.. and the other phases will be affected by heat and carbon and commonly the cable should be cut especially if it is HV cable
