Who's ready to wash some wigs!!! 🙋
Thanks for the tutorial. I’m going to try this today!
Great informational video! Thanks!
Excellent tutorial and this is exactly how I do my shampooing of my wigs!
Great instructional video
Thank you needed this
I took your recommendation! Bambu is the bomb. I was able to save a wig that was ready for its funeral. With the overnight Bambu treatment and a disguising curly style, I can now get more wear out of it. Thank you for the brilliant tip. XXOO
You’re so welcome!
Thank you for this tutorial and the recommendation of products! Have a super day!
You are so welcome!
Super helpful! Thanks for this video!
You are so welcome!
I think this is my favorite tutorial on using silicon Mix for curly wigs! Thanks you so much
That is so sweet! I’m glad it was helpful!
Thank you! Finally I learn how to use the silicon 💖💖💖
You’re welcome 😊
Hi there! So thankful for this video! This is the kind of help I need bc I am fairly new to wig wearing.
For me, there is not enough of these kind of videos to watch. It’s very important to learn how to take
care of the few wigs that I have. Thank you so much, I can say that I really mean it as I watched another
video that u demonstrated the Bamboo silicon mix & it was GREAT! I ordered some & WOW, it made
all the difference in the world! My wig that I thought had come to its end of life was suddenly revived!!!
Please continue too make these helpful videos!!! I really need them! You are AMAZING, so knowledgeable
& I really appreciate you! Thanks again! God Bless You! I am so GRATEFUL! Sincerely, Iris🥰
Can I use diluted cheer or diluted face cleanser? I’m out of woolite and she needs help ASAP. Tyia 💕
This is super helpful!! I had no idea how to take care of my wig. Thank you 💕😊👏
You are so welcome!
I’ve been wearing wigs for about 4 years but lately I decided to go down the topper rabbit hole, found your channel and reconnected with some other channels I used to watch when I first got into wigs! Love your videos and topics!
Awesome! Thank you!
I just ordered this the bamboo mix silicone conditioner and I appreciate this tutorial, very helpful! 😊👍
Awesome let me know how it goes!
@@TheWiggyWoman I will, thanks! 😃
Where did you get it?
@@judyanne3563 I ordered mine from Amazon! 👍
Thanks I was wondering could you use the bambu silicone on a synthetic wigs.
Thank you! This is great! Can the bamboo silicon cond. be used on bio hair as well?
Yes it can!
I am so glad that you recommended the Bambu silicone mix in a prior video. I was really frustrated with how my fibers were feeling on my skin after about 6 months, and how unrealistic it felt to the touch. I wear the same one every weekday full-time for about 8 months straight on average, and this year I was going for an entire school year if possible. So I tried the Bambu product and I could tell it made a difference after the first use. It feels and looks better now at 9 months than it did at 6 months, since I use it every washing - about once every 2 weeks. I realize they recommend most traditional synthetics are "supposed" to last 3-6 months, but if they still look good, why not stretch it out longer? I will probably try the silicone spray Simply Stylin some time, but this is working well for now. Thanks again for the recommendation!
The wig in this video is OVER A YEAR OLD!! People always ask me why I don't donate my wigs, and it's because I don't really get rid of many of them, I keep them going with this Silicon Mix as long as humanly possible!
@@TheWiggyWoman And old ones help with color and style comparisons when you are shopping for a new style too. I have old ones I will never wear again for that purpose.
What wig and shade is this please?
Thanks so much for this, but is there any safe way to use the silicone conditioner on my hand-tied wigs? Any tips. I Dont want to ruin them
Just don’t put the silicone near the cap. On a synthetic, the silicone won’t likely impact the knots but just don’t coat those knots and you should be ok. Stop about 2 inches from the root
I never heard of the bamboo silicon, been using simply stylin, but it looks like bambu does a phenomenal job. Will be looking for this product, but where can we get it at best price?
I get mine at Amazon, and it is quite inexpensive for how well it works... there is a link in the video description to the one that I use!
@@TheWiggyWoman okay, thank you, I will check it out
just ordered it, thanks for the tips!
You’re welcome!! I hope you love it as much as I do!
Thanks for the detailed tutorial. You did say to try to not get much of the mix on the wig cap. When folding up the slathered-with-mix ends into the cap before placing in the plastic bag to sit for several plus hours, isn’t that causing a lot of the silicone mix to find it’s way to soaking into the cap or are you finding that is not an issue? Thank you.
It is ok for some of the conditioner to get on the cap, or the roots - you just don't want to rub it into the roots. You'll see when I apply it, I do put conditioner on the top but more on the outer surface vs. working it in.
@@TheWiggyWoman Thank YOU!! 😀
Great video! Can I ask, why do you wash in cold water? Does it have to be cold? I've heard about giving a wig "a cold bath" to reduce the puffiness..? Is that why? Thank you!
Synthetic fibers are very sensitive to heat. A moist heat like using hot water could cause the fibers to reshape and ruin your style!
@@TheWiggyWoman thank you. Can you please make a video about how to stop buying wigs addictively? And ruin yourself financially? It's so hard not to buy a wig, when you see all those reviews online. There are so many beautiful wigs... I honestly think that buying wigs could be very addictive. Also, I was wondering, what should we do with old synthetic wigs? It is plastic and do we recycle them somehow? Do you put them in a bin with other plastics? Thank you again! 😘
I only make videos on things I know- and I honestly am addicted to wigs and am no help here!!! I still wear synthetics I bought years ago, and have donated a couple to people I know personally who needed them. But there is a group on Facebook called Sister to Sister blessed with hair to share that will accept donations and help match them to recipients! If I don’t personally have someone to donate a wig to, that’s the next place I’d turn to. I personally would never throw a wig away. You’d be amazed at how the right person can bring new life to a wig.
Znice tutorial, what style and color is that wig?
That is Heidi by Jon Renau in Frost - there is a link in the description to where you can get it!
@@TheWiggyWoman thanks so much, I was watching on my iPad so wasn't able to open that box.
Can you use the silicone mix shampoo on wigs also???
Yes it is fine for human hair and synthetic wigs!
So I just purchased an Angelica wig. Are there drug store affordable products to wash and condition it? Also, do I put it on a styrofoam head to let it dry? Last thing, how are your wigs hung on your wig wall?
Let me start with the easiest question first! Here’s a video on how I made the wig wall!
ruclips.net/video/uGQHrI0Jex4/видео.html
Drugstore products, I personally don’t use because I prefer to use wig specific stuff. But, some people like to condition it with unscented fabric softener. My only advice there would be to not get a lot of fabric softener on the cap. And for shampoo, you could use a very very gentle baby shampoo!
After using the bamboo silicone, my wig is left with a SUPER strong fragrance that I can't tolerate! How do you get rid of that smell? Is there anything else that can be used to condition wigs - without such a strong smell?? Thanks!
I would like to know as well. I used this after watching the video on my favorite wig. The smell was so strong! I rewashed it again the next day and added a little baking soda to help remove the smell. Still there… it is so strong when I enter the room that it’s in I can smell it. I’m not even sensitive to smells- but I can’t wear it. 😢
This is exactly why i don't use that stuff anymore... yeah it works but you smell like an old lady that broke her perfume bottle over her head. Yuck... wish they could make a less offensive scent
Can this be used on heat friendly wigs??
Yes!! I use it all the time!
Does this work with silicone serum or does it have to be the Bambu mix?
Everyone making videos uses the Silicon Mix Bambu deep conditioner.
Where do you get this? Walmart didn't have any... And neither did Sally's Beauty Supply:-((((((
I buy it on Amazon here is a link! Bambu Silicone Mix Deep Conditioner: amzn.to/3hNPgnM
@@TheWiggyWoman thank you

Should you wash a synthetic wig right out the box
That is a personal decision. It can help with the shine to wash it. If you like more volume letting it dry upside down also gives it a ton off oomph. But, personally - I do not. I feel like every wash adds wear and tear to them, so I try to get my 7-10 wears out of them first while it is fresh and looking its best and then wash it when it's needed.
You said you used the conditioner to wash a lace front… Did you mean shampoo?
Yes that was a total brain fart!! I didn't notice it until now lol!
I would recommend you check out fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
The great thing about having a diagnosis, even if it wasn't the diagnosis that I wanted, is that things like this are a waste of money. It's hard to claim something can regrow hair without knowing the reason the hair fell out in the first place :) - Permanent scarring hair isn't growing back with shampoo, sadly
