So happy to have found you! I’m a yoga educator & content creator based in Seattle & am considering moving to Houston. This was really helpful, especially utilizing a real estate agent! 👌🏾
Dude this is WILD, I am born and raised in Seattle and tryna move to Houston. I haven't found anyone who's lived in both places until now
Love that! There’s another RUclipsr here that’s an actual Seattle native and moved here a while ago. Her channel is Mo’Beauty.
Wasn’t thinking about moving to Houston, but now I am 😍😍
Great tips 👍🏽your skin glowing 🌟 🌟🌟
Thank you for this video!
You’re welcome! ✨
Considering moving to Houston from NYC. I love my hometown but I need more space with a city feel. Any recommendations on areas that’s more city like ?
If you still want the city feel I would say getting a spot in midtown/Montrose/river oaks would be best since those areas are always bustling & busy (But it still won’t be anywhere near the vibe of nyc of course). You’ll definitely have tons more space tho
Very helpful video! Thank you
You’re welcome!
Okay, I prevented myself from commenting for some stuff, but when you said there's hurricanes here every year that is just untrue. The avg. for Houston is around every 20 years. A great way to learn about any city you go to is to listen to the weathermen in that city explain about the weather in that city and they'll also give you a lot of data otherwise about the city. Also, flooding doesn't easily happen and the city's water control system when there is water over the roads is designed to let roads pond or flood before homes. In some areas where the roads flood too much that can show the system being out of whack in those areas, but eventually the city will improve those areas to rid the problems so it's just a matter of time with things building up so much here.
Houston gets the effects from many hurricanes every year…regardless of if a hurricane directly hits the city. And hurricanes/tropical storms have hit Houston directly 6 different times since 2002. So not sure why you’re saying around every 20 years it happens when at least 3 of the times have been within the last 6 years.
And it always floods, even just from a big rain. I have lived here for years. Please don’t spread false info for those watching this video. They need to be aware of things to look out for/ask about.
I wanted to know about finding a realtor and the cost for services. Thank you!!
Thank you, for the list to look out for. What spot do you reccommend for nice views? budget is 1500 a month
Can you do a video on what areas are good for single young females? ✨✨✨ love your videos
Safe areas ***
The neighborhood thing is big! Moving to Houston with my daughter and looking at the suburbs like Katy for safer school districts
I’m moving to Houston as well with my daughter in November. Definitely looking for safe places as well.
What is the range where you stay? What realtor did you use?
I originally was paying around $1300 for rent. I do not believe those apartment’s prices are that low now, because they did start to raise them high towards the end of my lease last year in April. But I moved to a different state anyway.
I used this realtor: instagram.com/realtorrasheem?igshid=YTY2NzY3YTc=
Dope! I'm from Seattle & I'm moving to Houston & I can't wait! I'm hoping its a smooth transition! 😬🤞🏽 Any areas you recommend aside from Pearland & Katy?
Nice! Hope you love it here. There are some nice developments in Cypress & Humble.
What neighborhoods/areas would you suggest for someone who is moving to Houston and attending TSU ?
Lol😂not you mentioning Chicago and I’m moving from Chicago to Houston
I'm a little late to the party..but stay away from the southwest side
And northeast
Yeah sw houston is turnt up

Sorry for all the comments but thank you! I have a list of questions I plan on asking when I tour apartments in a few months and the flooding question is a good one. Along with the store distance. Thank you !
