Guys. Don’t worry about chicco too much. I had a chihuahua for 19 years and she had the same disposition. It only take a hair or a bit of fluff up their tiny noses to trigger the grunting/ snorting. Chihuahuas are known for it. It’s not seizures it’s just common thing with this breed. The shaking / tremors are totally normal too. Stay safe guys xx

We were in the square last year. The belltower and square featured in the movie 'In Brugge' with Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. There was only one public toilet available in Brugge (it was closed) so paying for a drink at a cafe or pub is the way to go.

Hi guys, I have a chihuahua, the reverse sneezing can be a sign of heart trouble. my little guy has done it most of his life and then out of the blue he collapsed while doing it. Took him to the vets, got him checked, turns out he has Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Not all chihuahuas get it but it is common.
Also if you think your dog is choking DONT blow in the nose or mouth, you could send the obstruction further into the windpipe.
You can do a pet first aid course online and they cater for different pets. Its worth doing and even enables you to assist others if the need arises. My course has been priceless.
I just so glad Chicco and yourselves are all safe and well. Reverse sneezing can be scary, just dont become complacent about it like i did. I may have been able to do more for my boy had i got him checked sooner.

Right, lets not get carried away and induce unwanted concern here. All dogs reverse sneeze, our JRT does. The last time he had a serious bout he had a respiratory infection, treated with metacam. Fine after 48 hours. Im sure you mean well but I think you have jumped the gun with your amature over the internet diagnosis.
My yorkie Sandy does the reverse sneezing, for hours sometimes (on and off). Really scared me to begin with but its nothing to worry about, honestly. Try gently massaging his throat and neck it helps. Sandy lies on her back and I rub her belly which also helps. Small dogs are apparently prone to it. Take care xx 🇬🇧❤️
Good to know he is fine, the crazy little fella. Our parrot was making weird huffing noises a couple of years ago. We've had Pedro for over 20 years so were very worried. Eventually Pedro laid an egg!
Hi guys, sorry to hear about Chicco being poorly but so pleased he’s ok.my dear Charlie Choo always did the sneezy thing and it used to frighten me so much, but I found that massaging his throat gently helped. I sadly lost him two years ago at the grand old age of 17 , he was a beautiful little long haired chihuahua who thought he was a big dog, full of character and loved life and I miss him so much.

Our dog does this it's a nightmare he's eight now and I don't think it'll change now . But we just encourage him to drink water and that helps 😊

We have a chihuahua called Theodore and he reverse sneezes, I usually rub his throat and it stops, but I can understand how worried you both must of been, so pleased chico is OK now bless him... can't wait to see all your adventures, bruge is a beautiful place especially when the daffs & tulips are out along the canals.xx🐾🐾

We had the same reverse sneezing with our Chihuahua a year ago and went to the vet only to be told she was overweight. A couple of weeks ago we were in Bury and she was looking very unwell but as you say, we were lucky we were in Britain and found 24 hour hospital. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to her but we did give her a fighting chance. Unfortunately it cost £2500 but I'm sure you, like us would have given up motorhome life and got jobs to save her. I'm so glad Chicco is OK but the little buggers sure make you panic don't they😬

Hi. Hope you are feeling better Lisa, it was good of Mark to share his man flu. Brugge looks such a lovely place, shame the weather turned but I would have moved on as well, you have the freedom to do that. Oh poor Chico, I fully understand your worry. We had a wee Yorkie who had problems like this, the vet told us that with him being small he can have problems with his trachea. We used to stroke his throat and calm him. All chews were broken small and we removed all furry toys as tiny hairs can effect them. Glad he is now on the mend, take care and safe travels. Xx

Ooo chicco ❤. Mark, Lisa one of ours has reverse sneeze and did same now we chop all her treats up. When she did it a was sobbing god love youse. Daughter has googled how to do cpr on tiny dogs now because of it. Big hug to youse x chop all treats up now better being safe. Enjoy holibobs ❤

Don’t worry about chico doing that my mothers got the same dog does it all the time you’ve just got to rub his throat until it stops he’s done it since he was a puppy hope this helps

So glad Chicco is ok. It would of tipped me over the edge if anything happened to him. Our Cocker Spaniel, Buster, went over the rainbow bridge on Friday & we are all totally heartbroken 😪

Great vlog, I think reverse sneezing with dogs is quite common, my furbaby has done it most of his life, he's still going strong at nearly 16. I nearly spat my tea out when you were talking about electric bikes being banned in the Netherlands but they allow dogging 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I was last in Bruge 48 years ago! Went over on the Herald of Free Enterprise! I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter whose now 47! My then husband and brother in law felt a little sick. I now know the true meaning of when people turn 'green' at sea! But it was them and not me! I loved the boat journey, even the choppy waters! It's in the blood! Yes get some lace! Yorkshire tea us a nice strong tea but I consider Typhoo tea as the elite tea it’s so much more refreshing than Yorkshire tea though I do like Yorkshire tea almost as much. The best tea ☕️ in my opinion is loose leaf tea like your grandparents drank up until the mid 1960s & early 1970s. A tea caddy for tea a strainer a sugar lump bowl & a small milk jug
If you get to the top of Holland there’s an island called Texel its a great place to visit lots of history. You can park overnight by the lighthouse at the north end of the island.
Bruges is beautiful. Went many years ago and would love to go again.

Hope you’re feeling better Lisa 😊. My small dogs 3 of them have the same choking problem. I just keep soothing downwards their front bib & it relaxes so they are fine again. 2 are 16yrs, & 1 is Pekinese all small. 7yrs. I think it’s a small dog situation, glad wee Chico is fine little sweetie 🩵🐾🩵 🥤🧋🍩🍩🦴 Head for the warm weather & happy travels loves 🩵🩷🩵🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Hi our chihuahua has been doing the same thing for many years she's 17 years old, it was really scary when she first did this, but she kind of snaps out of it with 10-15 mins exactly what chico has, please don't be to concerned, our vet reassured us it was nothing to worry about xx

Sounds like an allergy, also dogs should never be given milk as it’s bad for them
Cows milk is a NO no for dog's as it contains lactose which dog's can't digest.
However, goat's milk is lactose free and dog's love it. I regularly treat my twelve year old jack russell to a bowl of goat's milk and she adores it.
So glad the little fella is ok. Take care all three.

Great to see Chico is doing well. A scare you never want. Not sure where your adventures will take you in Germany but if you want a suggestion head to Speyer and stay at the aire next to the Technik Museum if you like that sort of thing. Lots of aircraft to explore including the Russian version of the space shuttle. There's also vehicles and lots more to explore.

Hi both, our Yorkie has the same issue and the Vet diagnosed as a collapsed trachea. It only flares up when he gets a virus or gets stressed and they said put fingers into his mouth to open the airway. Good to hear Chico has stopped the reverse sneezing.
yes chi’s are well known for delicate tracheas that’s why chicco has no coller and it could be damaged wearing one
