thank you for actually teaching me something that I have been wanting to know from anyone who would ever take the time to show someone else. Appreciate it.... 👍
E. Martinez Hey E! You’re welcome! I appreciate you watching! Hopefully this will help you get on some fish and have a new technique in your pocket! Good luck and tight lines! 🤙🏼🎣☠️🧜🏼♀️
Thanks Praktical! HAHA Yes they Have and I need to revamp this video but I'm always learning and have implemented that tip as well, appreciate the suggestion it helps new anglers to the channel see it also! Good stuff
AT Outdoors! Thank you for the SUB! Appreciate you watching! Good ol' WV huh? Hmmm, interesting! Let me know how that works out! I'd love to hear that you got on some!
I use a T knot for my drop shot, it bait away from the line and gives it a lot of action when I wiggle the tip of my rod. Since I've switched to this method my bites and hookups have increased like 10 fold, I used to get a lot of bites but the hookup was lacking.
@@TroutMadeAnglerCo I feel like when my drop shot was right on the line it would keep the fish from taking the hook fully, I feel like when they hit it hard they push the hook away with their face, but with the T knot you've got the hook off of your line. Hey Skipper and Fata Morgana I think it's his name has some great tutorials for that knot.
Hi was just wondering why you cut down the tag end , I mean why set a depth before you know where the fish are in the water column . I sometimes leave myself a foot of adjustment below my weight, does not bother the fish and sometimes makes all the difference when fishing at distance
I'm new to trout fishing and I just thought to myself, I wonder if you can dropshot trout. Well clearly you can! Thanks for the info, checking out trout candy right now.
Josh and the Jambo Also check out Golden State Fishing for minnows! Appreciate you checking out the channel I’ll have more trout techniques coming soon! Be healthy! 🤙🏼🎣💯
Thanks! Great tutorial! Am I able to use a double hook/ bait set up with that rig here in Southern California? The more I researched, the more it confused me.
Yes you’re able to use it. I believe 2 hooks is max allowed maybe 3 according to regulations. Always check the waters you’re fishing thanks for watching the channel! GET MADE
2 questions, why did you cut the tag end ? And why did you keep cranking on your reel handle? . I dropshot most days for bows and do better only turning the handle slightly to take up any slack i create and how can you adjust up the way if you pre set your depth by cutting the tag end
I never see one called pearl white pixie when I go on the trout candy baits website. Is it named something else like white chocolate? Also, which of the tadpole colors work best for you? Love your channel, thanks!
Hi Anthony! I'm not too sure. I'd contact Juan at Trout Candy, I'm sure he can answer that. I'm not too familiar with the products any more. If i can remember, I liked the White CHocalte. LOL Appreciate your support!
With those trout candy pixies, is drop shot all you use them for? Are there any other videos of you showing how to use those pixies other than drop shot?
Hey Anthony! I don’t use them any longer but there is another video here where I caught a 5lber on the back one with a ball head jig! Thanks for watching GET MADE
Thanks for watching and the support!!! 🙏🏼💯 Nice tails work too!!! You can even put mini jigs on Em!!! You’re never limited any plastic can work! GET MADE!
This is awesome and thank you for sharing your secret... I am heading to SARL soon and never tried this dropshot techniques... Must go weekdays to avoid the crowd on weekend so you can be on mobile fishing... What line pound test are you using? Fluorocarbons? You are right this lake is hard to catch fish as Location is big factor.. Good luck
Hey! Wow, thanks for the compliment of subscribing to my channel! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, there will be more for sure! Let me know how this technique works for you!
Hey Andrew! Thanks for watching! I'd definitely be patient and be ready to go throw the aresenal - Powerbait, worms, mice tails, jigs and use this drop shot! Google the map of the lake and hit Levitt's Corner and Chris's Pond! Good luck! Please let me know how you do!
I’m confused on why you used a Phenix elixir there would be very mediocre sensitivity due to the fact it’s a parabolic action I would use something with a solid tip like an ajing rod never anything the slightest bit whippy or I would use an ultralight bass rod because this is one of the techniques that are specific to ultralight bass rods.
You make great points. The fast action elixir is not whippy. It has a stiff tip, and you may lose sensitivity but you get the back bone, and your weight is 1/16 or 1/8 and your hooks and plastics lots of gear, so a heavier rod is needed. To each their own, nothing to be confused about - this is my preference and what feels and works for me. Keep getting MADE!
Hey! Thanks for coming by! Yes it is and I’d run the tag end through top of hook eye one more time after to enhance the hook straight! 🤙🏼💯 I should do a new video on this. What ya think?

Rodney's Fishing Adventure Thanks Brotha! Appreciate it much! 🤙🏼🎣 definitely fun doing this on location!
Big fan
Don't know if anyone has said it yet but on the palomar, if you run your tag end back through the hook , it will keep the hook perfect. Great vid.

Good point! At this particular water I’m familiar how these fish hold. But you’re right, in ordinary circumstances. Thanks for watching! GET Made!
A great way to get the hook to get perpendicular is to run the tag down through the eye again
alex111683 That’s what I’ve heard! Thanks I’ll give it a try. 🤙🏼🎣 Thanks for watching!
