    Great video, really puts in perspective the journey you have to plan. I have been following gmatprep 60 day guide, and completed studying both sections, getting on average 70% questions right. But just yesterday gave my 2nd mock and got a score of 500. I checked many questions which I got wrong were silly mistakes. Any advice for me?

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  Год назад

      "silly mistakes" is still a broad category. We would advice you to look at what sort of mistakes you are making. For example, in quant, are you making mistakes in calculation, in marking the answer, in understanding the question, or in converting a statement into a equation? Being that specific in identifying the reason for the errors will allow you to better identify weaknesses and then focus your prep on correcting course. Good luck!

    • @rahuldhakne8577
      @rahuldhakne8577 Год назад

      @@Wizako it is understanding the question/soultions primarily. The time limitation in mock causes this particular silly mistake. But I am working on it, 2 days back got 570 on my 3rd mock, this one from Manhattan. Thank you for the reply.

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  Год назад

      We would recommend that you also spend time practicing questions from the basics in order to get more comfortable with the concepts. It will also help you address weak areas and you can also space your mocks further apart and wait to improve a section before taking the next mock. The more you practice, better question interpretation will become. Good luck!

    I am beginning my GMAT preparation in April for round 1 application. Is it too late?

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  Год назад +1

      It is not too late. You have about 4 months in hand between now and the earliest of R1 deadlines. You will be able to take the GMAT and apply comfortably in this window.

    how much hours to give if you are complete beginner not good at quant and verbal and working professional too?

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  Год назад

      You are potentially looking at 2 hours a day, on average, over a 4-month period. A good first step is to take a diagnostic and see how much you sort of remember from lessons learned in school. It would help you better gauge how much time is needed. Check out wzko.in/diagnostic to take one.

      It should be. Be as structured as possible with your prep process and constantly analyze how well you are doing. Good luck!

    Sir can i appear for gmat. I have work experience of 2yrs and completed my MBA fulltime in 2021. However I am not happy with my job, kindly provide me clarity if appearing GMAT will open new work opportunities and help my learning curve?

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  Год назад

      Hello
      Taking the GMAT does not necessarily open new work opportunities. However, it could open doors to a second MBA if you think of that as an option.
      My suggestion is that you should look at shifting jobs and see whether the new roles that you get make you happy. If you realize that the roles you like are not available with the current MBA, only then should you consider GMAT.

    Can i apply for gmat focus edition if i am preparing for CAT what extra i need to prepare for gmat focus edition. Where to prepare for gmat and how many month i need to prepare for gnat

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  8 месяцев назад +1

      Depending on how well your CAT prep went, you will need about 3 to 4 weeks to prep for the GMAT before writing it. During this time, we encourage you to focus on critical reasoning in verbal and data insights section. Data insights sounds similar to CAT DI but really, it is not quite the same. Of course, you also need to plan time to take 4 to 5 mocks.

    hi sir, being from commerce background i had left maths in 10th .Do i need to study the entire 11th and 12th maths in order to prepare for the gmat test?

    • @Wizako
      @Wizako  Год назад +1

      Hi, the GMAT does not test higher order mathematics. In the current version of the test, questions are from Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry topics (which are typically 9th and 10th grade syllabus). In fact, the GMAT does not even include trigonometry. In the Focus edition of the test that is being introduced later this year, even Geometry is getting removed and all questions are only from Arithmetic and Algebra.
      We have had several students from non-math backgrounds who have cracked the GMAT. In fact, one of our verbal tutors, Swetha, has scored 780 in the GMAT and has a Q50 in the quant section. She is also from a commerce background.

      Hi, Scholarship is dependent on all factors impacting your application - not just your GMAT score. However, if you start now and are planning to write your GMAT by early December, you will be able to catch R2 deadlines. Try and ensure you spend an average of 2-3 hours of prep a day on your GMAT and boost your score to the 720+ range. That will significantly improve your chances of scholarship, Good luck!
