Congratulations on an amazing score! Pretty inspiring especially as someone who needs a great score to get into a prestige MBA program. I appreciate this video and the detailed content so much!
That timeline is cool to see. At this stage, where were you mentally in terms of entrepreneurship? It seems like you'd accepted that AS was not going to work, you said in another video that you were applying for, but not getting, jobs in banking, you were thinking of going back to school and hope that would lead you places, and rareliquid had yet to be born. Would love to hear more about that transitional phase from mid-late 2020, what your expectations were for going into 2021, and the birth of your channels. There definitely seems to be a lot going on in that time period.
you know my story so well haha. so i started studying in august 2020 and was winding down asthetic studios at the same time and applied to school by jan 2021 and the business had been closed by then so i had nothing to do while waiting for decisions and so that's when i started youtube on jan 2021!
Awesome vid. I’m an undergrad trying to apply for a deferred MBA program at one of the top 3s so a good GMAT is a must! Thanks for making a dedicated vid.
Awesome Video Ben. Thanks for taking the time to make this. I certainly subscribed, and look forward to your future finance videos. I am hoping to get accepted into UT Austin MBA program sometime in the next year. Just beginning my studies a few days ago for GMAT, came across your channel and I am glad I did. I will definitely be taking your advice about the other youtube channels, looking into TTP as well now. I purchased the Manhattan Prep at Barnes and Noble as well, so I guess I will see what works best. Thanks again for making such a high quality video!
Hey Brain, I started preparing for MBA program a few days ago, and i have about a year and a half of preparation. Anyways, how'd u do man? hope everything went well!
I’ve finished my undergrad 12 yrs ago, and now I want an MBA. I already forgot what I’ve learned in the past since I never used them in my job.. I need to study like a HS student again🤯
I'm not here to converse with him but to share my testimony for what I confirmed, he's trustworthy and the best option ever seen, thanks Richard God bless you
i kept an error log and took notes on what i did wrong afterwards! i think reviewing is more important so you can refrain from making the same mistake later
@@rareliquidcareers so true. But did you classify error types? Did you have incorrect answers by mistakes or miscalculation? And if you did, how did you improve it? It would be nice if you make a video and talk about this topic 😆
Great video thanks Ben! What are your thoughts on the GMAT vs GRE? I’m much weaker in math and have been advised to take the GRE. Is that good advice? Applying for an MBA.
Were you working at the same time that you were studying for 2-3 months prior to the exam? Any thoughts on dedicating yourself to studying full time to try and get it done within 4-6 weeks? Thanks for the great content!
I am still in the early stage of my preparation, having studied full time for 2 weeks and a couple of hours a day for two additional weeks. I think when doing this full time for 2 months, you should be able to get very far. However, I have the feeling that getting a score of 730/740+ is very difficult to achieve in only 6 weeks, purely due to the breadth of topics you have to deal with. I would say with 99% certainty that preparing for the GMAT for only 4 weeks will not get you a stellar > top 4% score. Perhaps some people can manage to do it, but to me it seems immensely hard.
In the link you shared for Aditya Kumar videos, there are only two videos by him on inequalities and data sufficiency questions. Are there more videos by Aditya Kumar?
Hi! I started TTP and looks like there are a lot of chapters! Is it realistic to read all of the chapters and do all the practice questions?? Or would you mainly use ttp to learn and then do questions from the official guide? Thank you:)))
@rareliquidcareers I see that all the practice tests only have verbal and quant scores but nothing on IR. Maybe I am too new to even understand this. Can you help me understand what happens for IR preparation & practice?
Is it a must that GMAT score directly sent to the school you’re going to or can I just take GMAT exam and send the result to the school when I am ready to enroll?
I have a 3.4 gpa and want to attend a school that usually requires a 3.7-3.8. If my Gmat is good enough do you think my chances of getting in are still slim to none, or would a 740-800 score compensate for my gpa requirements. I am entering my final semester and kicking myself in the butt for not staying more focused on my gpa. I should be able to pull it up to a 3.5, but I would have to retake some classes to be able to get it any higher than that.
Your major matters, as something such as engineering is expected to have a lower GPA. There is still hope with a great score, good essays, and a great story of why business school is right for you.
No lol. GMAT only lasts 5 years. So unless you take the gmat at the end of your senior hs year and then later apply to one of the top deferred MBA programs as a risingsenior in college.
@@accountsequity5587 Well wouldn’t a college look at a good gmat score out of high school as impressive? Especially if you’re trying to go straight into business school?
@@olegigoverich7684 No. they don’t care. Also, even if you apply as let’s say an accounting major, which is a major under the undergrad business school, it still doesn’t matter they won’t care about your GMAT. Also, no worthwhile MBA program accepts college undergrads that have 0 full time work experience. Unless you want to apply for Harvard Business School deferred program once you a senior in college, it would make 0 sense for you to take the GMAT and no, universities will not be impressed.
@@olegigoverich7684 nah, not really. Maybe if you have a low SAT then the you can compensate with a high GMAT but undergrad reports SAT/ACT average so even saying that is a bit of a stretch. They care much more about the scores they have to report, which again, that would the SAT and the ACT.

Great score. Anything over 730 is competitive. Used to be 700 but now need 730 or more for top schools
thank you~
Is it the same for ORM? For ORM it should be 750+ right? Else they do not have a change for T15. Or am I wrong?
@@BarrySwami10 whats orm?

Why cant we just get 500 and get into Harvard's janitor position.
Actually you can.
Why do you need 500 for a janitor position?
Wow, even for becoming a janitor, there's a lot of competition.
Actually you need 600+ to match the janitorial status
Haha good one 😂
