Yet another fantastic Vblog G and Lucy, interesting flowing water down that hole!! 🤔🙂 In willow Park 🏞 nice circular route that was cheers 👍🙂
Thanks Ian!
Fab vlog. You always manage to put so much enthusiasm and enjoyment in your vlogs. You have so much energy that the vlogs come across enjoyable and entertaining, and so inspiring. Newton Lake that you visited was built by the gentry of the local estate many years ago (1800s) by damming up the valley of Newton Brook. The circular water feature you pointed out is actually a circular weir. Because Newton(Millingford) Brook is "flowing water", a weir is needed to stop the lake from over flowing the dam(embankment), which you were walking on. Very interesting vlog G, good work, Ray x
Thanks a lot Ray!
Great video
awesome stuff i visited Newton Le Willows back in Sept to film trains at the station while i was doing a second Lancashire day ranger & its a great station i also visited Warrington while doing a Cheshire day ranger mainly to top up on drinks as i fogot to at Stoke earlier in the day & its a great town & i popped to Irlam last year as that station caught my eyes when you did the exploring the North West series & its a lovely station shame i only had 10 mins there as as there was cancelations on the day i went but id love to go back there in the future & i got to have a riide or 2 on the TfW 197s when i was up North in Sept & i love them they are brilliant trains awesome vlog
Thanks Michael!
Well done short video but still entertaining looked fun 👍👍✅✅
Thanks! 👍
Thanks for sharing 👍
Very much enjoyed viewing this.
Thanks a lot!
Warrington to NLW was on my old patch when I was a NWR trackman . Still in the industry but on the training side now . Sound vid G, keep up the good work
Thanks Ste!
Thanks for the video G,and Lucy, seen one off those waters holes in America, can't remember what they were called😅!!😎🚃🚃🚃🇬🇧💚
Haha they're fascinating!
I’ve never not seen those Cleethorpes trains like that from Piccadilly, looks like a nightmare!
Oh I know it well from before the nova3 freed up 185 units
Hi G, you always find interesting or pretty places to visit, I could spend hours at that drain thingy in Willow Park (strange I know), looking forward to the next one, stay safe you two.
I get it tho it was fascinating! Thanks haha
That park at Newton-le-Willows was really pretty. Can't say I've ever been in the Manchester area but it looks interesting. You make these entertaining to watch as your enthusiasm for rail travel shines through - hope you and Lucy had an enjoyable time on this one.
We did thanks Ian!
@@GLovesTrains hi
Interesting circular route! I have to admit those 197's do give me full on 195/331 vibes! I might have said it before, but had to throw it out again! 😂
They do look really nice inside like with Northern!
Haha don't worry they do look similar i said the same thing when I first boarded one!
Thank you for sharing G
Thanks Jacob!
Great vlog and circular journey G. I’ve done the outward route towards Warrington Bank Quay via Newton Le Willows but not the return from Warrington Central. I enjoyed watching as always!
Thanks Sam!
Brilliant video G, I laughed at the bit where you were using the folding table on the 197 to get exercise. Irlam station is a beautiful one I'd love to visit, I've only sped through that station on emr class 158's. And don't get me started on 3 car class 185s I had to get one from Manchester to Sheffield on my last visit and it was absolutely packed, and to think it's going to be the norm with the 68's being withdrawn tomorrow.
Thanks Reuben, deffo worth a visit!
Great stuff, nice to see you at some of my local stations. That sinkhole in Newton is a bit mad
Brill video, is the powerstation at Irlam still there? Its been a good few years since i’ve been on that train line. Also, they have demolished 4 of the 8 cooling towers at Fiddlers ferry power station further along between Warrington Central and Widnes. It might make for a good video as the change in scenery is visible from the train line x
Irlam was so cool! The whole journey was awesome! 😎
Lovely station!
I was going to book national express when we go to blackpool but it takes 7 hours from newport to blackpool and they don't allow you to book seats.
2:24 looks like an overflow. That section Lucy & you was walking on looks like a dam so, that plug hole thing is likely to stop floods.
Great little Vlog G - a nice simple loop which killed a few hours and had some good stuff in it 😀
Thanks Si! And ah makes sense
The Plug hole is, in fact, a direct route to Australia, If you were to jump into the Plughole, you would arrive at Sydney Central Station in around 5/6 hours, Obviously take your Sandwiches and flask and if your from Wigan around a Dozen pies and a jar of Uncle Joes Mintballs.
One thing I miss about Manchester Piccadilly is the all night cafe which used to be just outside the entrance. Spent a few hours in there waiting for trains back to Blackpool.
Ah nice!
Great fun video. Love it !
Thanks!
Nice vlog G. I know you like those circular routes
Thanks!
That's an interesting route. Newton-Le-Willows railway station is situated on the first intercity railway in the world: The Liverpool to Manchester line, formerly the Liverpool&Manchester railway, opened in 1830. I still would like to take a look on this railway line because of it's transport history. Well done and keep up the good work
I believe Newton le Willows was also the site of the Vulcan Foundry locomotive works
good job
Hey G G I hope you’re ok sorry I haven’t left you a comment but it has been my birthday this week I have only just seen your video but I just wanted you to know you mean the world to me I love you very much keep doing what you’re doing you are amazing at everything you do love you take care hun xxxxxxxxxxxx ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hope you had a great birthday!
Nice video g
You missed out Earlestown.
Now, it's not the prettiest place, but it has the oldest triangular junction (1837) in the world, and in the middle of that the world's oldest station building at a station that is still a station (1830).
Only two triangular stations remain in the UK, the other being Shipley.
Great video G!
G are you going to do a video on brent cross west station opened today
3 car 185 always going be over crowded removing the nova 3 may get more train on the network . But only brings back the over crowding of the 3 car 185 on the cleethorpes run
Winter is close. We had the furthest north full Moon 🌕 rise on the 30th November, earliest sunset 🌄 on the 13th of December, Winter Solstice on the 22nd and on the 30th the latest sunrise and after that the light slowly comes back both ends of the day.Just like a train trip celestial mechanics is a process!
Great circular route G the 197 is quite a nice ride but I still prefer the pacers😅
Haha that's fair Stuart!
Enjoyed watching your video and previous videos i like you love travelling by train ever since i was 10 are u going to do more videos somewhere else you doing a grand job for someone so young be encouraged G and have a good day
Have a great day too!
2:36 I think that hole was the last known location of Carol
Hahah!
Very nice. Last summer, I rode from Newcastle to Man Picc, changing at Man Vic and Newton Le Willows, my one and only ride on a 175. Then on the way back, there was engineering works or something, so I did Man Picc to Warrington Bank Quay to Carlisle to Newcastle. I've never heard of Irlam before though.
#TransPride
175 for the win! 🏳️⚧️
You do know how to make a simple circular journey fun
Nice to see you doing the Orbital route around Manchester and Merseyside. I don’t understand why that Northern treated you with such disrespect on your other video and it was out of order but at least you are still carrying on making more incredible videos G. Do keep them coming.
Thanks Andrew!
Willow Park and Irlam station do look vey nice
6:12 I hope Lucy didn't become jealous trains when you were on that bench 🤣
Haha she always JealousTrains 😂
Great video - do you keep Lucy in your rucksack or is she just adept at hiding when the camera is on? 😂
She runs away when GLovesTrains comes out 😂
Brilliant G! really enjoyed the circular route but sadly 3 coach class 185 are the future and not a good one after the Class 68s get withdrawn.
Thanks Cyber! And oh noes!
Lucy Lastic in the house too G
In a few years, you need to do the following route...
Beletchly to Bletchley upper level or the other way around
Would love to do a round trip in Manchester :)
Great video G & Lucy, BTW, can you guys do a Steam Railtour if there's one operating around this time?
They look a bit friendly there at Erlam, that bloke on the bench had his arm round you 😂👍
No followers today watching your every move what a relief
Lmfao! YAAAAASSSS! G and Lucy in a video again! What a team! Great video! And stay proud from a gay across the pond! 🌈👏🥳
Thanks, you too Chris across the pond! 🏳️🌈
2:23 What if a duck swam into it? 😨
Just out of interest I worked out what the largest circular route (without going over the same track twice) would be from my local station. That would be one heck of an adventure, but one heck of an expense too !
I bet!
Did you ask a random person to film you running up the travelator?😂
Na too scared for that 😂
@2:23 A bell-mouth spillway
Thanks!
awesome video! question, why is newton le willows owned by merseytravel when merseyrail don’t call there?
It is in the merseyside county
@@GLovesTrains oh ok, learn something new everyday!
Newton is a lot better since it was refurbished a few years ago.
