I’ve been detailing for over 15 years. One thing that I’ve learned is that I’m never too experienced to learn new things about this industry. I am always refining my arsenal of products, refining my skills, and refining my actual detailing process. This channel is now helping me refine the business side of things. Keep it up, Luke!!
I am totally with you. I've been running my business for 2 years and I have a solid return clientele that I don't have to chase business either. I run my business my way and not what everyone else says. You are right on!
The number 1 reason I have followed you for years is because you are a "free thinker" which extends far beyond detailing. Absolutely respect your content. Your guidance has greatly assisted in exponentially growing my business knowledge to scale my detailing business. Best course bar none.
I’ve been watching your videos for a couple years now. Thank you for all of the great advice that you’ve given over that time period! I completely agree with your philosophy here, it’s more about the skills you bring to the table and the relationships with your clientele. It isn’t necessary to have all of the fancy stuff in the beginning. However, you should never stop growing as a detailer and building your arsenal.
I've been detailing planes for 20 plus years, I use Crest Slixter on the finish. I promise you won't be disappointed and it leaves the plane smelling great. EZ 1 Clean Cut for heavy scratches followed up with 3D One and then Crest Slixter
used to work for a private jet detailing company in the uk bedfordshire, until they fired me cos covid rip. now got my own running mobile car detailing business :D
Tambien depende de como quieres crecer tu negocio y hasta donde lo quieres llevar. Tienes toda la razon no hay que escuchar a nadie fuera de tu porio de nogocio y hacer cosas diferentes a lo que supuestamente deberia ser 👍👌
Please make sure your viewers know that detailing a vehicle is way different than detailing aircraft. Fabrics and paint are different compared to automotive fabric and paint requiring different care. A mistake on an airplane interior or exterior could be devastating to a detailing business. Make sure you are using approved products and proper procedures when cleaning aircraft.
Well yes and no... it’s a little more nuanced than that. The area where you’re going to be dealing with more “nuanced” areas if you will is going to be the exterior. BUT, carpets, leather seating, suede headliners, etc... on the interior are in many ways just as simple to clean as the interior of vehicles. Of course if you’re inside the cockpit once again this is a different story, but yes, as with all machines you’re going to have minor differences between them
@@wilsonautodetailing Hello. I appreciate your reply and I enjoy your videos. Thank you!!! I detailed corporate aircraft for many years. I’ve cleaned FA50’s, FA900’s, FA200’s, Hawkers, Citations, Beechjets, King Airs, etc. A lot of fun. I’m sure you are well aware of what you are doing. I just wanted your subscribers to know that there are a lot of things to consider when cleaning and detailing aircraft. Many of the materials used on the interior of aircraft have fire retardants incorporated into them. Always check with the aircraft manufacturer for approved types of cleaners. When cleaning the exterior, be careful of the pitot tubes, static air pressure sensors, engine inlets, etc. The exterior paint on aircraft is different than automotive paint. It is much softer and more pliable (flexible) because of the changing environment (outside air temps) it is exposed to on each trip. Cleaning the exterior of the cockpit windscreen can be a “shocking” experience if you don’t use the correct procedure. Also, make sure the insurance policy will cover a mistake on an airplane should something unfortunate happen. Thanks.
Man good talk BUT.... show the cleaning process and chemicals that you used on each material, Aviation is great with many delicate componets, materials and parts, be careful and keep it up👍🏻
Hello! I work at an FBO and here at this airport nobody has a detailing business for aircraft and I want to get started, what would be a great starter kit?
Interesting video, question, just purchased your detailing brushes and the dewalt cordless drill, at what setting do you set the drill for cleaning seats, and tires, carpet?
An infomercial for the business, not aircraft detailing. FYI FA50's currently trade from just under a million to seldom more than 3mm for a late airplane, with lots of "extras"--23mm, ummm, no.
I’m a 16 year old detailer, and I’ve worked at it for about a year and have made it pretty far, but not as far as I wanna be. Nobody around here wants to pay for maintenance details or ceramic coating, so what do you recommend I do?
Try lowering your price a little for 1-5 customers just to show the others what they really do and how good you are at doing it. Don’t do it for free. But, do it for cheap where you aren’t making a ton of money just to show other customers the value of this product and what it can actually do. For instance, nobody would pay me to paint correct their car, but after i posted pictures of the work i’m able to do, everyone was more than happy to pay me and get their car looking scratch free. People just want what’s best for them and you have to show them you’re able to do that for them
I am someone who loves my vehicles and have never learned how to properly take care of them. I live in the country so I have a well, which causes water spots that I can't seem to get rid of. Would also love some advice on a save wheel cleaner that will clean the wheels and I can use to clean the inside hub of the wheel too. Anyone have any advice???
Make sure to wash in the shade, and try using a spray wax during the drying process. That will help with water spots drastically. As for wheel cleaners, a good basic one is Meguiars Hot Rims. Great price and yields great results.

Dude, did a Falcon 900 interior the other day. Gorgeous jet. Exteriors take forever though using the dry wash method.
Maintenance clients/ repeat customers = raving fans 🔥
20 years experience here, this channel is excellent, much respect man!
Someday you'll be his private physician, and you'll get to charter it at your leisure.
Hahaha hopefully 😉
Great video man thanks for the inspiration! I recently just started my own detailing llc.

Do you do everything yourself or do you ever hire an assistant to help with certain jobs?
Hello! I work at an FBO and here at this airport nobody has a detailing business for aircraft and I want to get started, what would be a great starter kit?
what do you charge for something like that?
what is a fair calculation for price
whoa a jet?! that looks cool!!!
If you don't mind me Asking Where are you located?
God bless you in your detailing business. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Ramiro!

Speed setting save battery.. tough stains don’t come out as easy. All depends on your work at hand
Thank you Danny, but my question was not answered, was looking for reply from Luke Wilson, since I purchased using his links.
