Leylah was quite effective in neutralizing Madison's serve, but this was a super close match, one extra break of serve was all that separated winner from loser. Madison was the defending champion in Eastbourne, so everything is possible now for Leylah, let's go for the title !

@@rahulrava619She beat three top 5 players consecutively, and played doubles in between, and 2 slam quarterfinalists before that. Leylah beat a total of 3 Grand Slam winners (Sabalenka future winner), 1 WTA year end final winner, 3 former world number 1s. It probably took a toll on her and probably was simply both physically and mentally exhausted.

Leylah played well; Keys didn't. Maybe it was the wind, too many unforced errors from Keys. It looks like she has a good WB draw to get to R4 against Paolini. I was hoping for a Keys - Kasatkina rematch of last year's final.

Leylah is a difficult opponent, her game has lots of variety. She is one of those players that often makes the opponent play bad rarely hitting the same shot twice in a rally, producing different angles, slices and spins. Another player that also makes opponents look bad is Dasha Kasaktina, with her variation of shots and angles she made Raducanu makes lots of errors on the quarter-finals.
