Connecting People This statement is so true. I recently got offered a position at a car dealer (more pay of course). I was going to take it, but I realized how much time that's going to take away from my true goals of opening a online business by the end of this year.

I watched this twice...not because I didn't get it, but because ..wow! Preach!
I turned off all social media notifications on my phone and it's significantly reduced how much I'm on it. I checked Facebook once yesterday for about 10 minutes. Usually there would be about 3-4 times I'd check because I would see 20 notifications. Eliminating those little things are great for productivity. I just started viewing your channel a couple days ago. Great info and wisdom that you're paying forward. Thanks for it all!

When Henry Ford announced they would be making only one model, Model T, his salesman had been crying for more models, options, etc. They said he would be broke within six months. But he stayed focused and excelled and perfected that one model. Excellent video, excellent topic, Patrick.
Boy did you hit that one smack on the head. You were so spot on it made me cancel an event I was scheduled to go to tomorrow. It saved me from buying a product that was priced at 98% off that was going to do nothing but sit on my shelf. Intuitively I knew all that you spoke about in the video. I totally agree! Great knowledge and thank you for sharing this advice I am working on this right now and it's so much better than attempting to take on way too many goals that will slow you down unless your vision is to know a lot but achieve very little in multiple industries.
Great point about narrowing down for better focus - and losing the "shiny object" syndrome that so many entrepreneurs have/develop. I'll definitely keep this in mind!

Really great content, this has been my main issue for years, I would have 2 or 3 companies going at the same time and I felt stressed and taxed beyond words. Focusing on my one specialty which is a lymphatic detoxing health coach, its way easier than doing that plus the organic products comapany and the essential oils company and having a day job

I have a business doing mobile automotive services such as repair and small modifications, but i also want to go into selling some car related products online to help pay for things in my business so my question to you is this, should I sell product online to help pay for things, or should I stay focused only on providing the automotive service only? I really hope you see this, I'm a big fan.

Doesn't focusing on one thing leads to over specialization? How is this not opposing multitasking?

I am going to be selling one product but I feel over whelmed and put my business goals on hold when I see I need to figure out taxes, shipping, packaging, developing the website, planning the company blog, planning advertising funnels. There is a lot to do, to get even a simple one product business from idea to reality.

I love your channel, it's helping me progress with what I want to achieve
My business has been offering one service since last summer. In contrary, another competitor that was ten folds bigger than mine just got bankrupted a few weeks ago. I told my employees that they are not going to survive because they try to be someone for everyone. They were not focused and offered as many service as they could. The result is they failed. In another side, my business is growing and we formed a new partnership plan . Now I should still be careful to not keep partners very few and focused. I recommend reading book called "22 Immutable Laws of Branding" by Al Ries. You will read enough on the benefits of "Law of Sacrifice".
