WHAT IS THIS?!? I don’t know how this is the first I’m hearing of this! Path of Radiance is one of my all time favorites, so this already has me sold.

@@BacklogBattle have you done a review of brigandine yet? not one of the common/popular srpgs but it's one of the few on switch that i haven't purchased yet. there's also some on ps4 like the merceneries series and banner of the maid.
Path of Radiance is probably my favorite FE game so I'm intrigued! Will be interesting to see how this stacks up vs. Engage in February.

Thanks a lot for talking about this game! I never heard of it, but now it has my attention. I really dig the character design and overall atmosphere.
The fact that we have a small cast of unique characters which we may use more actively for follow-up attacks in battle is great :).
Someone mentioned Diofield, and the small cast does kind of remind me of that game!

This looks right up my alley and I'm very interested when I heard Path of Radiance name dropped. This video just earned you another sub. The Tellius games are peak Fire Emblem.
Been going on a tactical RPG odyssey throughout the year starting from Troubleshooter all the way to the recently released Midnight Suns. Haven't even touched Triangle Strategy, Tactics Ogre OR The Diofield Chronicle yet. The end of 2022 into the first quarter of 2023 is looking absolutely stunning for the genre with the addition of Redemption Reapers.
Tactics Ogre is an old classic. Give it a chance, it won't fail you.
@@TheOwwen Indeed I shall. Right now managed to snag The Diofield Chronicle on a deal so that can be my next project right before jumping onto Tactics Ogre. Triangle Strategy can then form the absolute tail end as a direct newer successor.
I'm intrigued. I'd be willing to buy it just to see how I like it. It has PoR director on it and that's the best FE game I've ever played may as well give it a shot.

ender lillies is still one on the most underrated games ever made i endorse that game every possible chance I get seriously PPL play it!. If this is binary haze i have high hopes for this.
As brazilian, portuguese speakers, I love when we have a JRPG with subtitles. It is so difficult to see it these days

Yooooooo this looks neat! I like the design of everybody, though hopefully the color palette in the full game is a bit more varied than what we can see here. This makes me want Bloodborne Tactics to be a thing!

While the muted earthtone fantasy kinda thing isn't my favorite, the story, gameplay and pedigree of the creative staff definitely have me intrigued

I love turn-based,,tactical gameplay, even in rtwp or slow downs.
Also love the dark tone and colors.
But less so the japanese style generic music, voices, dialogue, banter.
Will check it out though for sure.

Ah from the director of the best modern FE title/the best one ever since the original creator left. It has my interest. As a longtime fan the new tone direction of FE hasn't really been to my liking. I long for the return to how it was like in Holy War.

Already in 2023, my list is chocked full of games, like Pizza Tower, Clive ''N' Wrench, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, whatever the Xenoblade 3 Expansion is, and Pikmin 3. I'd better add this game to the pile too, because not only do I love a good dark-fantasy anime, but Path of Radiance is one of my all-time favourite strategy games. I haven't been left wanting in a long while, but god help my wallet next year!

vibe of this game is amazing. Honestly i had enough art direction that FE engage took subing to mainstream. This is refreshing
If it has the one person who was in the dev team of Path of Radiance and Allegra Clark as one of the VAs, I will say that this does seem interesting. And seeing as Fire Emblem Disengage(that is what my friend is calling it while I call it Fire emblem Heroes:the console version) is really not doing it for me, I may do some research on the game to see if it will tie me over until we get Disgaea 7. Great look into this game Alex!

Not necessarily a bad thing for it not to have trailers or gameplay. The industry is moving towards announcing games a lot closer to their release, so this isn’t out of the ordinary.

New game, for PS4 but not ps5? I suppose that’s fine and all but I guess I’ll be getting this on the switch. Nonetheless still really excited for this game!
I watched a few game trailers today and they were all souls like games. I was so disappointed, I am tired of the souls games. Yes they are fun but the are really getting old to me. They are the same formula. I have not heard of this and I am so freaking excited!!! This is what I need!! Finally
For a game that's presumably coming out in a month, we still don't have a date or price, let alone some meaningful details about the gameplay and story. I wonder why details are so sparse?

Path of Radiance is easily one of my favorite SRPGs of all time, but this trailer footage looks kinda...meh? I'm not a big fan of grimdark, and there's precious little in the way of tactics actually being shown here.
Is it turn based or what? I don't get the combat system by watching the trailer honestly.
