@@bluekiller57 I’m not sure what the technical term is, but it’s an in ground, drive over type lift. It’s the heavier duty of the two types we have in our shop, for lifting trucks. It’s a pain to get it under a car/small SUV
Oh shi, I am always overfilling my 23 rav4 hybrid. trying to get 500 miles. the max i got was 450. I think I will stop😭😭. I also do this on my motorbike, is that harmful? (i know you are a car mechanic not a bike one) 😂😂
@@ArsalaanZahid_ regarding the Rav4, yes, please don’t over fill it. The Toyota hybrid vehicles have an even more sophisticated EVAP emissions system. They even evacuate the fuel vapors prior to allowing the fuel door to pop open. Sometimes, there will be a slight delay from when you push the button to when the door opens. Overfilling those can be worse than a regular vehicle. It’s not often a catastrophic failure like with this Tacoma. That is the exception, not the rule. But, over time, especially with 10% ethanol fuels, it can cause premature failure if EVAP components. The motorcycle: it all depends. Often motorcycles don’t have charcoal canisters. It depends on the year, make, model, and if it was sold in California or not. Usually, it will spill out on the ground. But, there is not usually a purge valve, or vacuum pump on motorcycles. So, you aren’t likely to do any damage. Maybe just saturate the charcoal canister, if your bike has one.
@andrewasaurus i gotchu. You are smart to know that😂 there was a time when I overfilled it once and the fuel door wouldn't open. The system showed a loading sign saying something like opening --- and had a percentage being counted on. I thought I messed up the car. ☠️ but I understand the seriousness of not blasting and overfilling the fuel tank. And for the motorbikes I haven't really had the issue but I was keen to understand. Thank you😃😃
Good PSA. Cheers.
its always funny to watch people at costco trying to over fill their tanks. such morons
4th gen owners are in desperate need of that extra mile topping off gets

Was this covered under warranty?
@@Kristophererik no.
What I do is when the pump clicks I wait 30 seconds and then do it again until it clicks and then I stop, but is that still bad?
@@Mason-fv1zl it’s probably not bad, but it isn’t worth it. Safest bet is to stop when it clicks.
Did he keep his truck running while fueling?
@@Theone0611 I don’t have a clue. The customer tried to act like he didn’t do anything.
what is that red lift called?
