    Considering you’re not training for this, it was incredible. Your cardio volume for a strongman is immense. Hybrid athlete for sure. CF championship favors shorter people.

    • @kurtwpg
      @kurtwpg Год назад +5

      Yeah, light weights dor Mitch but this quickly becomes about cardio. I think 165 reps. I've been known to really gas on 12 reps of squats.

    • @wompastompa3692
      @wompastompa3692 Год назад +4

      Yep, 165. For countdown sets, the total is n×(n+1)÷2 where n is what you start at. So for countdowns from 10, it's 10×11÷2=55. Three of those is 165.

      Probably because the weight would be twice as heavy. A guy half his size might have better cardio but he’s going to have half the strength.

  • @jmetallicad
    @jmetallicad Год назад +13

    Great job on this workout! Just a heads up, the Linda standard for the DB bench at all the semi finals was each rep HAD to start at the top. I know this is a dumb rule but it ended up being important for certain athletes and it means that you one rep short every round in your version of Linda. Not sure that it would have mattered much just thought I would mention it. Next you should try the original version of Linda where the weights are determined by your body weight:
    1.5 times body weight deadlift
    Body weight barbell bench
    3/4 body weight squat clean

    3/4 body weight squat clean

    • @e.c.9468

      It absolutely does. Work done = force x distance. Increase the weight, you increase the force required and hence increase the work. The weight and work would increase by around 50%, which is far from negligible.

    • @Brett733
      @Brett733 Год назад +13

      It would most likely take him hours. Assuming he's 320, The 160 pound dumbbell presses would prob be the hardest for him. 480 deadlift would prob be easy, not sure about the 240 clean.
