Lord, thank you for these faithful men, grant them wisdom, grace and courage as they lead their churches for the cause of the Gospel and the glory of Christ.
Christ is the head of the Church & He is the One who has purchased her with His own blood & everything & everyone is under His headship. So can we infer they don’t have all the power. Onward Christian Soldiers! You are on the side of Truth=Jesus & the Christian world is watching you.
Bishops who didn't know what was happening? As an old layman watching the Synod from Australia, I thought I knew what was happening! And surely breaking with the House of Bishops can't be all that hard if a bishop is determined to stand up fo biblical truth. I'm not a brave person, but I hope at least I wouldn't be a jellyfish if I were a bishop.
Decades of careful recruitment, with deliberately arcane processes that are impossible to scrutinise properly, have brought the CofE to this point. Even now, CofE evangelicals are conditioned to ignore the imperative tone of the New Testament regarding calling out false teachers plainly and unambiguously. I slightly admire these men. However, there is no doubt that so many have stayed silent for so long, when they should have spoken out over heretically twisting of Scripture, and Gnostic teachings that proliferate. Realistically, the CofE is over. Those in power are anti-Christian, and they have huge resources to continue their destruction of an organisation that blessed the British Isles for 500 years. Explaining themselves before the Throne of Grace holds no fear for them. It really should. The situation in other British Protestant denominations is every bit as bad, with false teaching proliferating. Please pray for the UK, that God will be merciful, and bring His Church to repentance.
Breaking with the bishops meansnlosing buildings, funding, support, pensions, homes (vicarages), training, ordination, licence to preach, licence to do communion. The whole nine yards - it is all owned by the CofE - they are using this immense power to control people and subdue the biblical message. There is no mechanism to hold them to account. As he said - they have all the power, but none of the spiritual authority.
I'm assuming that the gentlemen from London and Oxford are not so upset with the Church of England as to refuse their stipend and clergy housing provided by the very same Church of England?? Are your principles important enough for you to undergo that amount of inconvenience?
That's so sad that the Bishops do not give God's word the most central place as God's authority as God speaking especially because God doesn't change and His word doesn't change but the voice of the church can change especially when man who makes the church becomes unfaithful to God. God's word needs to ring true again and this is a call to continue praying for the Church of England and especially for the evangelicals that will remain faithful to the Apostolic Faith to take a courageous stand in these times of darkness, that they will continue coming to the light and walking in the light so that their works will be seen as being done in God
I love how they say they will pray for things to change their way, then things dont go their way, but they dont equate that with god, the being they pray to, ignoring them.
Sometimes the God of the Bible says, “No” to our prayers, or “Wait… I have something better for you…” God is God, when we pray to Him, He is not obliged to give us everything we want or ask for. He knows best.

Well said Gentleman, clearly we can not travel with the current leadership within the Church of England this challenge has been creeping up on us for some time. Being gay and same sex attracted are two different things. I would view it in light of someone who is married and is then attracted to another man or woman and is tempted to sleep with them but because of his or her fear of God and faithfulness to his or her marriage covenant relies on God's grace to not commit adultery and thus can't be called on adulterer on account of the temptation itself.
