This Full-Body dance Movement Meditation is like an active Body Scan. It will help you zone in on different parts of your body, allowing you to be more present and in tune with what is going on in your mind AND body while relieving stress and breathing into discomfort.
This Grounding Movement Exercise will help you release stress and tension from your body while allowing you to deeply root yourself into the present moment.

Dance Movement Therapy and somatic-based techniques used in this exercise:
Active body scan: helps you zone in on different parts of your body and gain awareness of what is present
Breathing: breathing is a great way to guide your mind into the present moment
Slow movements: although not as static and challenging as static meditation, slow movements, help us create peace of mind and focus
Free movement: allows you to express yourself freely and create meaning to your internal states

I often really like and seek slowness, especially now that I'm in my senior years. Because I seek it, that's why I did this video. I felt much better afterwards. I went for a horseback ride today, and the horse I was riding started out slow. The guide said General could walk faster than he was going. I said I didn't mind, unless we were in a hurry. I was thinking about the video. The guide told me we weren't in a hurry. When I felt more confident, I did have him trot a few steps. I like being allowed to go slow, while that doesn't mean I can't go a little faster when it feels right. For the video, I needed the slowness at the time. Thank you, Tamara, for offering it.

I really loved this one!! Again my RUclips therapist Tamara giving me another soulful video. I noticed I actually love the slowness and then I started going medium pace. So I'm gonna that this lesson with me,"Go slow". And don't stop doing what you do cause I appreciate you❤

Thank you for your videos, I use the gentle movements to help with my chronic pain . I am slowly learning to be more gentle when moving and to feel the tension in my body and ‘ let go ‘ of it as I re train to move with greater ease and less effort . Also its a great energy/ mood booster!
