In this video we'll learn how to delete photos from google photos but keep on device. I personally struggled to delete photos from google photos but not device. Many people have the same issue and wonder "how to delete photos from google photos without deleting from device." So, I decided to make a video about it.
This is the simplest way possible to delete photos from google photos but not device. Follow along step-by-step.
1. open photos.google.com/login in a web browser.
2. Log in using the google account where your photos are backed up.
3. Select the photos you want to delete and delete them.
This won't delete photos from your mobile phone's gallery. This will also delete photos from google photos app automatically.
In order to make sure the photos deleted from google photos, which are still present in your mobile phone's gallery won't get uploaded to google photos again, disable back up & sync in google photos app by following these steps:
1. Open Google Photos app
2. Sign in to your Google Account if required
3. At the top right, tap your account profile photo or initial
4. Go to Google Photos Settings - Back up & sync
5. Turn off Back up & sync
This is how you can delete photos from google photos but keep on device.
