and to replace more solo occupant cars! I expect these electric bikes have a smaller learning curve for newbies, so easier to convince drivers to get on a one. Also cost of owning and running an electric bike for a year should be peanuts compared to ice or even electric cars.
Great review- err- except for no mention of performance, top speed, range, charging time, instrumentation, warranty, servicing requirements, dealer support or price. Apart from that, great review.
Mate, I have a TC MAX and ride it to work every day 30km round trip. Mostly 80km speed limit. Love it. Have even ridden it to Lorne from Geelong along Great Ocean road. Done 5,500km so far, it's paid for itself at 10,000km compared to driving my dual cab ute, diesel.
I have a 70km trip a day on a 100km speed highway, would the battery last me 1 day? I mean will a full charge last 70kms a day doing 100km speed? I'm happy to charge everyday as long as it lasts for a day.
Having rode an electric bike I agree about the feeling of no gears. It's not like an auto slushomatic in a car. On an electric bike it feels purely direct, easy and enjoyable. I'd highly recommend one.
A great city bike and loved the clip thanks guys. Cant wait for the SAVIC as so far, there's no middle ground in the ebike road market. Its either small city bikes or the hard core HD Livewire.
I am all for electric. I've had two bikes that needed a top end rebuild and the constant oil chnages, chain cleaning, air filter etc....... But please come out with a better body. Something like a adventure bike with high handler bars
Sure do! Interviewed Denis Savic when he made his first announcement and have been regularly following their progress. Can't wait till they start hitting the road.
How long does the battery last And how much do the battery last Remember this bike will dsold second hand one day And how much will they be worth worth
few questions, 1 what is the driving range on the highway 2 how many cycles until the batteries need to be replaced 3 charge time on a 240 v three pin outlet 4 maximum load weight
Curious why they went with the Type 1 when Type 2 is far more common, at least as far as tethered chargers are concerned. Also Type 2 being the main standard in Australia and the rest of the World except the obvious North America
Great channel! Thanks for the coverage. Im looking to get into motorbikes and limited on what i can spend. Any videos to come for learners approved electric bikes? I saw Braaap and wondered of you could do a review
DO NOT BUY A BRAAAP! As a MC mechanic in Sydney I refuse to accept Braaap's or anything Chinese in my shop anymore. Don't buy one of these things either, they come with rusty frames and handling issues.
I liked it until I saw the charging outlet on the back like a trailer plug WTF? surely they could have hidden it somewhere else. How much are they. I can always shift the plug.
It is more difficult to make mid-drive electric motorcycles compared to hub-driven. Europeans and Americans make mid-drive, and Chinese make hub-driven.
dont trust this company, i brought this bike for 3 years ago and they took my money and never gave any feedback, probably took the money and ran! NEVER BUY BIKE FROM THEM!!!
You made a few mistakes: You don't pay the full purchase price. You buy it in the country where you live and not directly from Evoke in Hong Kong. I have buyed in Denmark, so i live in Germany and only the half purchase price payed....
I dont understand why all the resources in electric vehicles is thrown at cars....when you can produce an electric motorcycle for half the price and will cost the customer much less than a 40k+ electric car..plus changing it will be more convenient because of its size. Im so sick of the high cost of fuel that I will do anything to get an electric vehicle..just not a bulky electric car
Hello what about the range??? Must be bad if you don't mention it And with one moving part why are they so expensive, wouldn't be called profit would it?? A battery for a bike should never be that expensive you halfway to buying a Tesla? Not impressed 😢
Only THREE ways to go with electric bikes....that's all.....just the price? FFS! When will we actually be offered a bike suited to the vast distances traveled in Australia and who is going to make it? That's what I am interested in, bikes that are equivalent to a 250cc ICE like these are too small. The one bike I am interested in is not sold here and all we are getting, are these tiddlers that won't even go up hills. I want an honest appraisal not an infomercial. You didn't even canvass the range it has, so I guess this bike is really for the clueless?
Apologies Randall, you make some good points that i missed in the clip. Range is around 150km city and 75km highway. The Evoke pulls uphill really well due to its excellent torque Sadly, the price/long range issue is a big challenge for motorcycles but slowly and surely progress is being made.
@@rahulvs4052 No it is not swappable and there is no extra space, basicly the whole "core" of the bike is battery, there is nothing else there exept the cpu in the "tank". But i am going to tell you that i really want to by this bike but i wont and thats makes me sad, the reason is that it does not have ABS wich is weird because in the EU you can only sell bikes with ABS, so i dont know how they selling this, maybe is some kind of loophole they using because it is electric? And here with the rain and the cold weather you need ABS. For 3/4 of the money i can bike a more powerfull 400cc bike with tons of safety electronics, superrior suspensions, brakes and tires and about everything else is better and you are not really have to pay for a lot of gas, i mean modern 400 cc go about 3-3,5 liter/km. The acceleration is similar to 400cc, the top speed is around a 250cc bike.
@@grecushungaricus1985 Yes what you are saying is exactly the type of sentiment I have also. All motorcycles in Europe with petrol engines comply with stringent EU emissions regulations, so I would buy a petrol engined motorcycle that has all the things you want.
Not a bike guy myself , but I say bring on the electric bike future. Anything to replace the obnoxiously loud bikes on the roads today.

Evoke, if you want to compete with the world market, add a fast DC charging system and fast AC to all your bikes. I like the classic model.
One of the most important considerations of an EV is range, probably should come before "nice colour".
i wish i cout import it in india.. i love the classic.. matt black looks deadly ❤️
Very nice bikes I think I wouldn't need any thing faster than that thanks for the info
The plus of the hub is that you got more place for the battery 😉👍

This is a total one up to Zero's FXS.... basically same spec for 3500 dollars less.
Will it burst into flames while charging in the garage and burn your house down?
Great footage, im new to all this Ebike world.
Are these priced around 20 to 25 thousand?
When Suzuki makes an electric gsxr then I'll buy one.
Can't wait for these to become more affordable. I'll trade in my ninja 400 and be able to work with something even MORE quieter!
I'm with you though I want the new Cruiser with 400KM range

The price is a joke for a Chinese motorbike
I really want an electric motorcycle with range, but there's no good option with removable batteries to charge in an apartment.
There is a brand out of the UK (RGMNT)* I think..) and a brand out of California, *Rvid, that have 45lb or less battery in wheels.
When will these bikes be launching in India, especially the Classic... Estimates on price also? Thanks🙂
