I love you both and your sweet "Pups". I am an 81-year-old widow. I have just started listening and watching your videos and I can't stop! This is the first time on the dog videos. I will be back! The tears rolled when you put the food down and they sat and waited while you thanked Jesus. I do the same for my sweet long-haired Chihuahua mix. She has skin issues this time of year in the early summer on. She also chose me at the rescue place. I was there with a friend and when they opened the door, she was five months old and ran in and jumped right up in my lap, that was 10 years ago. She cannot take things that the vet prescribes so I will be checking on all that you have say.

ITCH. That is an excellent documentary. I watched it about a year ago. I'm getting my dogs off the commercial food. I had to get my cat's off commercial food also. I had two pass away and the others had diarrhea ALL over my house. Love these videos! TY!
ITCH! Just discovered your channel I love it! My German Shepard gets itchy hives around her mouth. It breaks my heart . She is on a raw diet, & is unfortunately a very picky eater. So far I’ve eliminated chicken & turkey from her diet. I myself have always been into natural remedies. Some of these I knew about, some I did not. Very informative Thank you! Itch! My dog has severe allergies. We feed him a very expensive hydrolyzed (the protein is broken down so his body doesn’t recognize it and won’t react) dry dog food. I’d love to do better for him. I am loving this channel so far!
Do you know of a good shampoo for my 17 year old female medium size mixed breed for seasonal skin allergies but no fleas. She is miserable (and so am I) with itching. So Little House on the Mountain led me to this channel.
ITCH I have a question do you feed your pups once or twice a day? Also how do you know how much to give them of each item to make sure their diet is balanced? I just came across your channel tonight and want to eventually transition my dog from kibble to raw, but I'm worried about making sure she is getting all the nutrients she needs and how much to feed her. Hi there. We feed them twice a day. As far as transitioning, I'd start with 90% kibble and 10% raw or lightly cooked meat for the first week and as long as they seem to adjust well, then slowly decrease kibble and increase meat. As far as the ratio, it takes time to figure that out. Dogs ancestor the wolf would mostly eat meat and organs, and chew on some grass or other greens. That's why in our bowls you'll see mostly meat, then a scoop of pumpkin puree and a little fruit and usually an egg. Plus we add the supplements to add nutrients. That's prob the easiest way to get a good balance. Hope that helps.
Do you give them raw chicken and beef? I feed my dog organic dehydrated grass fed dog food and always put some meat added in and veggies. But I do cook it. I didn’t know if this was ok.
Raw is debated due to the possibility of bacteria. We'll do raw beef if it's grass fed. If not We'll cook it. The more pure the meat, the less chance of bacteria. We haven't done raw chicken in a while. We might try raw chicken wings again for the meat and bone, but only if it was better quality chicken.
ITCH My boi's itching has significantly decreased by getting him off kibble. I already give him a mushroom blend that includes turkey tail. He still flips his ears, but I don't see or smell anything. He still has a little itching and dandruff, but that has significantly decreased. I was wondering if you have used any online allergy or sensitivity tests you can recommend.
