My personal favorite book series, The Death Gate Cycle has a variety of fantasy worlds, compelling characters with large arcs covering the entire series, and a unique look at the battle of good vs evil. I read this series about fifteen years ago. It might be the first fantasy series I read. Although I have read many popular fantasy series afterwards, I think my favorite series is still Death Gate. haplo, haplo's dog, zifnab, zifnab's dragon, the sartans in the labyrinth, alfred's capture by the dragon, the war between haplo and hugh, what alfred and haplo experienced at the seventh gate, the design of chelestra and abarrach, the magic system based on probabilities and dragonsnakes feeding on chaos were things/events that impressed me the most. It was very enjoyable to see how the character of haplo changed with each journey he made.

So many different worlds and environments introduced in this book series. RUclips algorithm is on point. Forgot about these books the past 10 years at least and was actually looking for a book series to listen tiday,so thanks. ZIFNAB is awesome and weird.
