Examples of future ramblings will cover things like movies, books, video games, sports and other random things. I don’t expect to reach a ton of people and this is mostly just for me to have fun but if you enjoy please tell others and invite them to watch!

This would make a PHENOMENAL series on HBO! Not Amazon, they would mess it up
Great reviews, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed SAWTOOTH so much! You would love her book THE VEIN
I'll check it out!
JRJ also has a short story collection called Entropy in Bloom that is so good! Didn't you feel like reading I'm Thinking of Ending Things all over again?? Oh man, I got nervous when you got to The Ancestor...I bump into people who do NOT agree with my rec lol The Puzzlemaster was an unexpected hit for me too. Yes! White Horse has some infuriating scenes for sure.
I will have to take a look at Entropy in Bloom. I totally want to check out I’m Thinking of Ending Things again. I listened to it as an audiobook and I want to read the print now to catch things I may have missed! The Ancestor was so unexpected that I loved it. I really enjoy when something surprises me. Ugh, I really wanted to jump into White Horse and strangle Debbie’s husband! Erika T Wurth did a great job making me hate him.
I read this series about fifteen years ago. It might be the first fantasy series I read. Although I have read many popular fantasy series afterwards, I think my favorite series is still Death Gate. haplo, haplo's dog, zifnab, zifnab's dragon, the sartans in the labyrinth, alfred's capture by the dragon, the war between haplo and hugh, what alfred and haplo experienced at the seventh gate, the design of chelestra and abarrach, the magic system based on probabilities and dragonsnakes feeding on chaos were things/events that impressed me the most. It was very enjoyable to see how the character of haplo changed with each journey he made.
So many different worlds and environments introduced in this book series. RUclips algorithm is on point. Forgot about these books the past 10 years at least and was actually looking for a book series to listen tiday,so thanks. ZIFNAB is awesome and weird.
I am so glad to hear you’ll check them out. I think they were very well done!
Thanks for reminding me why I loved these books. I read them when they were first published and found the characters unforgettable. Great hearing what your thoughts are and why you like the series.
Thank YOU for introducing them to me almost 30 years ago!!
It’s so great to be on the show
Feels very 90s...not an insult. Impressive.
My favorite of the two is Into the Spider-verse. I feel like I can't really judge Across the Spider-verse until the last part is out. It's like you said, they split it in half. I definitely enjoyed it though! I love the new Spidermen Pavitar and Miguel. And the more characterization for Gwen. I love Spot as a villain. He gets super scary by the end. Also, wow I didn't know the Lego part was created by a 14 year old! That's so cool!
Excited to see Beyond the Spider-verse. Hopefully it will end strong!

Love The Warning
They are awesome!
The The Warning 🇲🇽
QOTMS is a fantastic album! You have to listen to it end to end. Than watch the live Lunario CDMX presentation of the entire album. Great analysis (rant)
Looking forward to it!
🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽
They are a fantastic band to experience live. I went to see them in Dallas last year, the first concert I have been to since I saw Def Leppard in 1981. They somehow got a 60-something year old man who hates to travel and hates crowds to get out there and experience live music again. Worth it!
I’m very excited to see a live performance as soon as I can!
And my first real show since the Rolling Stones back in 1981 was The Warning at the Whisky 2020. 😄

I really love watching Pau adding to Dany's vocals in *The Warning - Ugh live at The Rebel Lounge* ruclips.net/video/AIgA9SDwu1I/видео.html and think it's worth adding to your list of 2022 performances. I simply love watching Pau perform.
Absolutely, she is amazing!
@@Theramblingsofa42yearoldman labor of love. Loves these ladies like my own daughters and so proud of where the have come from and where they are going! 🤘🤘🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️🥰🥰🥰
Amazing list! Thanks a lot ❤
Every song from The Warning needs to be reviewed with the lyrics, innate message & back story, if available. Because they are the most intellectual band to emerge in decades. Their profound metaphorical songwriting on contemporary society sets them apart from the crowd. So you can always read what the band says about their songs during your reviews. Their ages at the time of composing a song & playing it in public should be noted too in reviews. Every song has 2 parts - musicality & what the band/singer trying to say. If we ignore the lyrics then a song becomes an instrumental piece or a tune. That is why it is advisable to mention that The Warning has recorded a concept album Queen of the Murder Scene dealing in split personalities, unrequited love, death, self harm & lunacy. Last one I know of was Roger Waters musing over despair, death & lunacy in The Dark Side of the Moon exactly 5 decades back.
Thank you for the insightful reply. I am just getting started on my Warning journey. I am excited to dig deeper into the songs!
@@Theramblingsofa42yearoldman Most welcome. If you are 42 then I assume intellectualism will appeal to you. These girls have reignited my love for music after decades. Absolutely blown away by the dark metaphors from Pau. How can a 13 year old girl write such stuff? Or when she wrote QOTMS in middle school going through an emo phase? Happy digging from a 56 year old in Kolkata, India.
Thanks for supporting our three marvellous ladies and especially for including 23 into your video, as it's one of my favorite songs and played much to seldom.
So far 23 is my favorite of their songs. I found a video of Pau singing it on piano, really stripped down with just Dani accompanying her. It’s beautiful.
Thanks for your support of The Warning. BTW, you must know that the audio for those video clips sounds like it's coming from a TV speaker across the room and definitely could be better.
Thank you! This is the first time I have incorporated videos into my ramblings. I am looking into how to make the audio better. I’m not the most technically knowledgeable person. 😂
It's been a great privilege and honor to watch Dany, Pau and Ale grow not just in age but in musicality and talent, they are wonderful young women who are humble, open and honest. Their music is outstanding and all three of them are beyond talented. This was a great ramble, I love the Error Album, but Queen of the Murder Scene and XXI century Blood are just as good if not better in some cases. Btw the Mayday EP was a result of the pandemic, the had the full album and were supposed to tour but everything shutdown, so they released the 6 song EP to give the fans something enjoy while we waited for the chance they could tour again, it was well worth the wait. If they come to your area go see them, they are worth it. meanwhile I await eagerly for them to come to my part of the world so I can finally see them live.
I am excited to listen to the other albums. Hopefully I will be able to catch them live someday soon!
That 2014 ES was recorded for their grandparents to see how they were coming along with their secondary instruments but after it was done the file size was too large to readily email it. So their dad uploaded it to RUclips and sent them the link. They did the ERROR album in the Fall of 2020 & under normal conditions there would not have been a Mayday EP but since live concerts were not happening they staggered the release of the full album until they could tour with it as new music. Currently busy warning Europe. So far they have played in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. Unfortunately they had mechanical problems with their tour bus and couldn't make their date in Poland. They still have several shows scheduled & were able to get their very nice tour bus repaired already and are back on the tour with only the one cancelation in Europe.
I saw the post about the bus issues. So glad everyone was safe and they were able to get back going.
I found out about the band a couple weeks ago and now I listen to their music nearly every single day. There are many things that make them unique to this business besides their musical skills. Songs are great (and catchy), pretty good lyrics (for such young ladies) but also the fact that they are sisters, good looking, fluent in english (which allowed them to reach a much bigger market) and different from the rockstar stereotype: they have a strong family bond (both parents are part of their road crew) and their lifestyle is anything but "sex, drugs & Rock & Roll". As far as I know they don't even drink or smoke, Pau is the only one who has a tattoo, they like staying at home and playing videogames, none of them is in a relationship, etc. That combo is something you don't see much these days.
I love seeing their videos. They always look like they are having fun!
Pau has complained that she couldn't get a Mojito in the U.S. last year during their tour because she wasn't 21 yet. Apparently she could get served in Mexico. That said, I don't picture them going out to a bar and getting hammered like twenty-somethings in the States (and elsewhere) do.
I’m 58 and discovered them in 2017 when I saw their second Ted Talk. Massive fan ever since.
Exactly the same for me - 2017 Tedx. and I'm a hudge fan ever since too. Greetings from France, Gilles (59 y.o)
Music is such an amazing medium. You can enjoy at any age! It never stops surprising you.
@@Theramblingsofa42yearoldman And I started to follow them on RUclips on the 29th of July 2013 due to a video of Pau drumming. Don't regret a single day since then.
I’m 57 and I’ve been likely enough to see The Warning live 3 times now. Just saw them in Baltimore. Hope they come around my area again.
Great rambling! That is an easy like and subscribe.
Thank you so much!
Welcome to the wonderful world of The Warning! We always welcome new recruits to The Warning Army. Just to further enhance some of their discography, they also have two stand alone singles. More was just released 3 weeks ago. Narcisista was released in 2019. Following the success of their second independent album Queen of the Murder Scene they did start receiving some criticism in Mexico for only writing and singing in English. Well, these ladies are perfectly fluent in both English and Spanish so they wrote Narcisista in Spanish as a response to some of that criticism, and it is now one of their most popular songs. It is one of the songs that Paulina "Pau" the drummer sings lead on, and there have been several occasions during live shows that they have arranged to have a guest drummer fill in so that she can come out front on the stage to sing and the crowds always go nuts. In fact, for the last two shows of their tour with Halestorm in Colorado Springs, and Tucson the guest drummer was none other than Arejay Hale coming out to support their opening band like that. During their tour with Three Day's Grace, they not only invited Daniela "Dany" to sing their song Painkiller with them during their set, Barry (their lead guitar) came out for a couple of TW's sets to play Choke with them so that Dany could run around the stage freely. Just recently in Germany they were both playing at the same festival on the same day and TDG invited Dany back out on stage for that song over there. Muse was so impressed with them opening their Mexico dates that they invited them to open some big shows in the UK and France. That invite was made band to band, not through management or label or anything else. Matt Bellamy went over the TW after their last show in Mexico and asked them directly if they would like to join them for a few shows in Europe. While all of these accolades are amazing and show the respect they are gaining within the industry with their peers, they also have something else that none of them have. That second album that you mentioned Queen of the Murder Scene, which was written when Pau was in middle school, is actually a brilliantly composed full on concept album. If you want your mind blown by them, take an hour and a half to watch the full 2018 concert of theirs live at Lunario CDMX. you won't regret it.
Love this. Can’t wait to dig into those other albums!
@@Theramblingsofa42yearoldman Oh, don't watch _Queen of the Murder Scene_ all at once! Savor it song by song, here, with us. The story progresses from song to song and some of the meanings are rather obscure. Fortunately, we can help you with that.
Error was ready in 2020 and we all know what happened in 2020. Their best album is actually Queen of the Murder Scene imo. If you like prog/hard rock and concept albums ala Rush or Yes you will love QOTMS. They are 2 years behind where they should be as is most of the rest of the world at this point.
Excited to listen to QOTMS. It’s amazing how good they are at such a young age!
@@Theramblingsofa42yearoldman I think that only two of their songs originate to after they signed with LAVA Records. A Kickstarted campaign done 6 months before they signed gave them around 190 000 USD to finance the recording of Error and their American Tour but COVID put a stop to that.
They seem to be really on top of things themselves with an amazing support system in their family. So cool to see!
Gran análisis de las diosas del rock. Gracias por el video. Saludos
i found this band a little over a yr ago and not one day has passed since that i havent listened to them!!! they inspired me so much that i bought a prs guitar and a spector bass!!! i put a the warning sticker on the back window of my truck to have an excuse to talk about them when people ask what it is lol.
Dude SAME!!!
Me too! Except I've been listening to them for 2 years.
There hasnt been a day that I don’t listen to them for almost 2 years as well. I’ve tried not to on purpose, but I always end up doing so. It’s impossible for me not to listen or watch them. No other artist has ever done this to me. I usually get into an artist and I go on binges, but they only last a month tops. This isn’t normal and i recognize that. But they’re music is so great and they’re masters at using social media to keep you engaged. So essentially you’re hooked
I love the inspiration! I want a sticker!!
I listen everyday, too, found them 1.5 years ago! They've led me to learn more about music and song structures that I never really cared about, ever, til now.
Their progression as an opening act has been pretty amazing: * October 2017 (ages 17,15,12) - Their first big show was opening in CDMX for Def Leppard, who were so impressed they asked them to open two days later in Guadalajara, leading to a frantic change in plans since they were supposed to return home and get ready for a big festival appearance four days after the first opener. * January 2018 for Dio Disciples (in Hollywood) * April 2018 for the Killers (2 shows in Monterrey) * Febrary 2020 for Stryper (two shows in Mexico) * February 2022 for Mammoth WVH (in Las Vegas) * March 2022 for Foo Fighters (in CDMX) * March 2022 for Sammy Hagar (in Austin) * June 2022 for Stone Temple Pilots (in Newfoundland) * July-October 2022 for Halestorm U.S. tour (30 shows) * October 2022 for G'n'R (in Monterrey) * November 2022 for Three Days Grace Canadian tour (11 shows) * January 2023 for Muse (4 shows in Mexico) * May-June 2023 for Muse (5 shows in U.K. and France) * September 2023 for G'n'R (2 shows in TN and FL) NOTE that the last two entries are repeat business, and also outside of Mexico
That’s an amazing list of bands! I hope to be able to catch them if they get to Florida. Hopefully as a headliner!!
@@Theramblingsofa42yearoldman Damn you just missed them at Welcome to Rockville earlier this year. Also when bands like Muse and GnR invite them back, you know they are doing something right!
This was a great video for a bit of an explanation on the movie! A little suggestion for future videos Insert images or short clips of what you’re currently rambling about to keep an engaged audience while we listen to your commentary. I’m a sort of visual person who enjoys some engaging images and clips while watching commentary videos like this but over overall wonderful video and hope to see more and see some well deserved growth in your channel! :)
Thank you so much for the kind words and wonderful suggestions!! Some of my longer videos incorporate more images. With videos, I am always nervous of copyright issues. As I get a bit better at editing I will definitely do some more visuals. Thank you for watching!!!
Sounds great. I hope this song was as much fun to play as it was to hear.
Given their history of never drafting QBs I was surprised. When they traded up I about fainted. Can't wait until September and not just because there will only be 7-10 more weeks of summer.
I wasn’t incredibly high in that years WB class but I did not want another year of David Mills. CJ was the one with the least concerns for me so I thought the pick was good. It getting Will Anderson too?! I don’t think I ever even considered them being able to do that.
Hi
Sup
Had to stop early in the video. FFXIV is plot driven. It's story is first priority. That's why big names like Jesse Cox refers to FFXIV as a RPG first, MMO second. I DO recommend giving XIV a try. The free trial covers the base game and its first expansion. And this is coming from a 38 year old man.
I loved doing this co-op mock draft. Can't wait for more! 😀
I too loved this one. I play and DM Dungeons and Dragons games but like that you don't need any prior experience with the game to enjoy this movie.
Enjoyed your review!
Thank you!!
What a lovely area.
Beautiful house. Great views.
I couldn't get through it. It was scary and I usually love a good horror or psycho thriller. But this one scared me so i had to turn it off. Was on Netflix. Good review and cool movie. Im gonna try it again.
It's a great feeling to stumble across an unexpected jewel.
Really hope you have luck finding more of his material to read.
