What's so special about Aircooled 911's? Will the prices EVER come down? Is there a right time to buy a classic 911? I've been following the market for over 30 years, some things never change. Thanks To Everyone who has supported this channel! Much more to come! #aircooledporsche #classicporsche #porche911
Another great video. I grew up in the 80s, and I always loved seeing the 911. However, nothing made my heart skip a beat like seeing a 928. It was so exotic and futuristic looking. Maybe I’ll go for a drive 😎
Great cars indeed. I just had mine written off. Not sure I made the right decision in not keeping mine. I spent a fortune on the car. Oh the drive, what a car!!! Hit 4.5k rpm and you are done believe me on that. I will own another one day for sure.
They are simple cars. Luke mecano sets easy to maintain but incredibly well built. Everyone will marvel about the quality of the build, the solidity of the car, the reliability of the cars and the sound Lord the sound especially if tuned, nothing comes close to them. The only issue I have is the AC’s outside of that they are sublime. I speak having experienced them in real hot weather or and very long drives over 10 years. Superb cars over all. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️
Yess!! Incredible cars!! I know what you mean about the AC, it’s brutal here in the Miami heat! The AC was much improved starting with the 964, before that it was roll your windows down and go triple digits to cool down 🙌🙌 Thanks for watching! 👊👊
I got a 73 in 1990. It's on the third engine now and was upgraded each time. My Honda is special too, but I'm having doubts that it'll survive another 20 years. My Honda sits in the garage and I can't wait to drive the 911 each week... nothing compares except another air cooled Porsche 😊
@HernanSpeed in a vacuum it would not be an issue. After only 20 years, parts support has dropped off hard and upkeep just to be inspection compliant is getting more difficult and expensive every year. The amount I spend on this will easily exceed an engine rebuild cost in 15 or so years and it keeps accumulating. This is why I won't sell the 73. It is my belief this is the long term predicament of even modern Porsche.
Prices for parts definitely vary depending on location. Here in Miami, new Porsche parts are reasonably priced. My little brother recently took a trip to California, he found incredible deals on ‘used’ Porsche parts….but most weren’t advertised, you had to go in person. So yes, find parts has been a challenge for some time now.
@@HernanSpeed I'm referring to the Honda by the way. They do not have parts support like Porsche. On a 20 year old Honda you're looking for part outs or salvage yard. Aftermarket has some things covered, but not everything and critical parts are long gone at the 10 year mark.
In U.K. in 70s and early 80s 911 got really cheap and were often neglected it was not until 996 made people value them, as it happens I actually own a 993 996 Turbo and 997 GTS and Turbo along with a 991T and have not suffered any depreciation only running and service costs, I just drive them weekly as a standing car is just wrong.
Air-cooled 911s were cheap in the '90's and early '00's... I was buying good ones for $10-15K 🇨🇦, enjoying them, then selling them on for not much more money... it wasn't until 10-15 years ago that rich dudes began seeing them as cool, then it was all but lost for the average enthusiast. The '79 SC in my garage isn't going anywhere ever as I'd never be able to afford to replace it.
Yes, all cars go through the depreciation curve. 911s, especially the 2.7…had a few tough years. But they still held their prices better than all other Porsche’s, Mercedes, BMW’s, and Ferrari’s. The prices lately are elevated, but the lower maintenance makes up for it (kinda). Never Sell!! 👊👊
Prices always dip in Winter, and pop up again in Spring(all collector cars). This has happened every year since I’ve been keeping track, so over 30yrs.
Interesting, which cars are you using to compare them to? From my experience, they’re ultra reliable and easy to work on. The early ones are almost like working on a lawnmower, yes…that simple.
@@HernanSpeed yes my buddy had one! The no power steering is cool and feels like a go cart but it was constantly broken and needed repairs in very expensive shop / parts. Avoid unless you have unlimited time to do all the work yourself and have huge garage with all the tools. No thanks

I’d say it’s a SOLID INVESTMENT.
Correct, especially the minty examples. Thanks for watching brother! 👊👊

😆😆😆🙌

I think this is the best sales job for a 911 I've ever seen. You've convinced me.
Thanks for watching brother! 👊👊
@@HernanSpeed Thanks for the review!
🙌🙌
Right on the spot with everything you said.
Nothing like an air cooled 911! Thanks for watching brother! 👊👊

Btw; a Honda will easily do 40+ years! 🙌

Yes, you’re right. I really like Honda’s, but the prices are getting crazy on used parts 💯💯
I just put a 991.1 50th anniversary in my garage today. I'm on the hunt now for a G series 911 from when I first received my drivers license......
Congrats brother!!! 👊👊 Hunting for the right aircooled 911 is half the fun!
Dr. Porsche wisely capped their yearly production volume to maintain their exclusiveness with limited quantities.
They’re even more exclusive now! 💯 Thanks for watching brother! 👊👊

Great selection of Porsches!! 👊👊 Yes… 2.7’s didn’t hold the value like other 911s, but still outperformed it’s competition. No deals on them anymore.

Thanks for watching brother! 👊👊Everyone go check check out GoksCarLounge!! 👆🏻👆🏻
Un 911 sin oxido, es decir restaurado y ligeramente actualizado no baja de los 100.000 euros.
Si! Exactamente! Hola desde Miami! ☀️👊
3:48 il manifesto emblematico di cosa sia una 911
💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
I had 964,930,993 turbo - they are not as good as 991.2
Gracias need one of each! 💯🙌🙌
They are buying the car to sit and show...not to drive anymore
They’re meant to be driven! 💯💯🚀
Don’t buy one yet. Prices are going down.
Prices always dip in Winter, and pop up again in Spring(all collector cars). This has happened every year since I’ve been keeping track, so over 30yrs.
Wrong, 911's were cheap AF in the 90's and early 2000's.
Which cars are you comparing them to, depreciation wise?
These are junk! Dont buy unless you want to be in shop every other day.
Total garbage
Interesting, which cars are you using to compare them to? From my experience, they’re ultra reliable and easy to work on. The early ones are almost like working on a lawnmower, yes…that simple.
@ try my 2024 bmw m2. 450 HP twin turbo 6 speed manual. Makes all these old rust buckets look like horse and buggy
@ you need a lift to get to the engine and many times have to remove the entire thing to get to critical parts. Completely ass backwards engineering
Are you talking about Aircooled 911’s? The engine easily pulls out in an afternoon by slightly jacking up the car.
