I wish I had known this 40 years ago. It would have made cooking a turkey so much faster and easier. Thanks for sharing. Love PegEgg

Did this last year and it is SOOOO much faster and better to cook turkey. The breast came out so juicy and the dark meat was the bomb. Definitely doing this again.

Best video! Made cutting up my turkey the easiest since I started cooking it in pieces three years ago! I did use my boning shears to break the ribs while removing the top from the breast because I don't trust my knife skills that much.

Thank you! I'm so glad it is helpful. :) Boning shears are a great choice and do the job well too.

thank you so much for this informative video....i have confidence that i can cut up our 23 lb. turkey and smoke it successfully and it wont take 12 hours now!!! i was worried about bacteria growth for such a long smoke, but now it will be half the time!!!
    Happy Holidays!!!

I'm so glad it was helpful and I'll bet the turkey tasted better since there was more surface area to absorb the smoke. :) We have an awesome smoked turkey and bean soup recipe on the site you gotta try if you have any leftovers! Happy Holidays!

Quick and simple video. Surprised it has so few views. I came here to see how to cut this turkey I have so I can bake or fry or cook it and not waste any of the parts.
