Hey Camirra 🤗 I never woulda thought to cut up a turkey. This is ingenious. It will cut cooking time and it’s just less work too serve. I measure my seasonings with my eyes. I like to mix several together. I usually use an all purpose then add to that…salt free seasonings. ♥️
I thought I knew it all- but you are the pro. First thing - Sharp sharp knives and scissors - I'm watching you cut this bird like it's made of butter. Then the seasonings- I'm going back to the store before I even think of turning the oven on!. And the temperature of the white meat. I think I've been over cooking. Thank you for the lessons. I hope your Christmas is everything you want it to be!!!❤
I've got 2 free turkeys, 13 and 14lbs. at Albertson's over the last couple weeks. They had a get a free turkey with $75 purchase. Might still be on sale today.
Oh my I learned losing weight skip salt an use seasoning it's great,I use the same method wipe off turkey an then fridge to get skin crispy for sure ,I like what you did if looks so good Great job Mame ❤
Thank you for another awesome upload my lovely, sending love from the UK, kinda wished we had thanksgiving here as it would help share the festivities within families ❤️
Hey. Thank YOU!! I told my brother that I was cooking but not as usual. Fully planned to cut it by spatchcock cooking it. Thanks Happy Turkey Day. Here's hoping my scissors are sharp enuf❤🎉❤
Hi Camirra 🙋 long-time follower of your channel, and although I haven't commented prior, I always appreciate your bubbly personality & excellent cooking skills. You Ma'am, definitely DID that 🦃 justice! 👏 Even though we "eat" with our eyes 👀 I feel that what intimidates most people about cooking a holiday meal is the "presentation" of the food; not necessarily the seasoning, how to prepare it, or even what to serve. This tutorial is awesome, especially for beginners, and perfect for a smaller family gathering. You not only showed us how to prepare the bird, but gave us prep skills, seasoning advice, a homemade stock, and from-scratch gravy. And in the end, the perfect presentation. Although, I can "burn" in the kitchen, and season my food with all the conjured "SPIRITS" of Italy 🇮🇹 😂 it doesn't hurt to learn some new tricks 😉 Thanks again & hope you & yours enjoy this Holiday Season 🦃🎄🎉😁 Greetings from NYC 🗽
this comment makes me so happy! lol we do eat with our eyes! But with a few tips the presentation is simple too :) I hope you have a wonderful holiday season
And I love you ❤ you are so sweet thank you for sharing the recipe I need your help 👍 I got a 20 lbs turkey 🦃 from Walmart 😊 and trying to to fix for my family 🥺 God bless you 😋
Hmmmmm...In seasoning proteins, my seasoning spirit-woman has been off... I like the idea of replacing salt with bullion cubes but I've not got the rhythm right yet, thus over-salting. I've been having fun using the Sous Vide function on my InstantPot . . . So this episode on cutting it up is right on time. Thanks Dear and hope you have a Happy Friends-/Thanksgiving!!!!
i did put some estimated amounts in the description. i actaully take the spices out with a teaspoon so i have a general idea of how much i used. i will use everything with salt like bouillon before adding salt on its own. it is kinda a tricky thing because bouillon while salty is not pure salt. i always will aim for a little less b/c you can always add more salt when the cooking is done if you want.
Cook your rue until it's the same color as your turkey stock. This could be as much as 10 minutes on low This will ensure your gravy doesn't taste like flour and it will make your gravy richer and full of flavor.
As far as seasoning, I prefer to fill a tumbler with a mixed seasoning, then put the chicken in and then tumble it until the chicken is fully coated with the seasoning. This way it’s uniform and balanced with that flava. A paper or plastic bags works just as well to coat your meat. 🥩 🍗 🐖
I audibly gasped when you got the finished dark meat out of the oven 😮 I also agree that while other methods are good….separating the bird ensures the best results. There’s just no way around it 🤷
@CamirrasKitchen they are discounted, but just a little. The turkey I got a couple weeks ago was like 20%. I saw some last week that were more like 35% off. Better than full price though. 😊
The Turkey is a supersized chicken. Now the latest trend is to cut up the Turkey, but we’ve been doing it this way before. The price of Turkey is about to go through the roof. No shade at all. Looks delicious.
why would the price of turkey increase because ppl are cutting it up? thats like saying if you cut up chicken the price will increase lol. its kinda a supersized chicken. if you cook it whole the breast skin ratio and fat content of the bird is differnt, making cutting it up more ideal.
Doesn't this use a lot of soaking on salt? If it does, people who have kidney disease or problems shouldn't eat this at all. Could you please let me know? Thank you, 😮😮😮and shouldn't you be warning people
this is not a wet brine so there is no soaking as all. also, its not my responsibility to warn ppl of anything in this recipe lol. its just a simple recipe lol. this isnt a health channel and i dont specifically cater to ppl with kidney problems. but there is not alot of salt. most of the seasoning have no salt
@@CamirrasKitchen🙌 …this type of comment gives me a crazy eye roll and a double facepalm at the same time 🤣 people need to give their head a wobble and if they are that concerned about public health they prob need to be focusing their attention to fast food chains, not you 🤦🏼♀️
Girl i KNOW! the internet thinks im supposed to put out a PSA on common sense. If you have a health issue why you expect ME to tell you want to eat or not eat.
Shouldn't you be responsible for what you eat? How is it her responsibility. What a bunch of babies. Ridiculous post. If you have diet restrictions thern don't eat it!
I cut my turkey up this year. This is just my second time. It's really easy and cooks so well. I also roasted the back and neck for soup.
Girl you are a Soul Food Scientist.
I love hearing you break this all down lol.
😂😂❤ I love that!
💕💞💕 I let the ancestors guide me when I'm seasoning the food and they have never failed me! 😁

Looks great. I learned a lot and will definitely be using this method this year for my turkey day. It's also just me and my mom this year.

“Season With Yo SPIRIT…”. LOL 😂😂😂
Wonderful!

@CamirrasKitchen I will try it ! Thanks
HELLO I HAVE TO TRY CUTTING A TURKEY ONE DAY❤🎉 THANKS FOR SHARING🙏🏽 ❤🌹❤
Hey Mrs c your hair is pretty
Thanks so much!
If you use a crockpot liner for your broth you can add more liquid and you also don't leave ANY of the goodness in the pot.
thanks for this tip. i actually have a crockpot liner! i totally forgot
Thanks for sharing.. I would like to ask you how do you keep your oven so clean 🧽 😅. Help!! Still watching vid
Easy Off for the big cleans. and it gets wiped atleast once a month. a wiping is typically just a bit of soap and water and a cloth. not a deep clean
How about doing a precook in water to blanch it, then bake it? 🤔
i dont think it would be needed if you have a temp probe
How do u not have any added liquid to help create a rich stock?
what do you mean? i add water to the carcuss and the bones to make a very rich stock
Cook your rue until it's the same color as your turkey stock. This could be as much as 10 minutes on low This will ensure your gravy doesn't taste like flour and it will make your gravy richer and full of flavor.
ill try that next time. my gravy doesnt taste anything like flour, but im curious about the taste

No big turkey deals yet, but Imma clean up on Friday.😅
What? no big deals yet! im shocked. deals in my are started 2 weeks ago
@CamirrasKitchen they are discounted, but just a little. The turkey I got a couple weeks ago was like 20%. I saw some last week that were more like 35% off. Better than full price though. 😊
I cook mine in the crock pot depending on the size. If too big the wings are cut off and legs to fit. Wow it comes out tender.😢
😋😋👍👍

😂😭 that was only butterball
