I am thinking of getting one or two of these. I have an Anytone D-578, it was in the jeep, now in my shack. Being able to use it for MURS and GMRS makes it the perfect radio for local emergency comms. - the 779 or the RT95 would do the same job, and since I am not really doing Digital there is no reason to have the more expensive model.

There was a couple of out of band (local airport) frequencies I wanted to listen to and was able to program them into the memory with Chirp bypassing having to change the continental modes.

I Bought So Called High Quality Coax from ebay & Amazon like 3-4 Different vendors & it was all Junk/Bad so i said piss on it an bought the best M&P Hyperflex 10 Sahara it is rated at 2.5db loss per 100ft I use 60ft an i use the Evo Connectors ..my point being if you are only getting 6-8 miles from your radio and antenna then you are doing something wrong is all !
