    *Important DISCLAIMER!*
To all my Indian brothers and sisters from Ahmedabad. Please allow me to clarify what was said in this video as many of you in the comment section took my words out of context.
I did not think bad about Ahmedabadi people and I certainly didn't make fun of them by saying that it is funny that they don't speak English. Well, when I arrived to Ahmedabad I was coming after a long journey around India including Delhi, MP, Rajasthan, Punjab and more. In all these cities most of the young guys, specifically students were speaking English and then when I arrived to Ahmedabad and as you see in the video I was exploring the more modern side of Ahmedabad. So, I was very surprised to see that almost no one could speak to me in English unlike in all other Indian cities I visited.
So, when I said that it is "funny", I meant to say that it is surprising to me that in a modern city like Ahmedabad I met collage students don't know English. But that was only my first day in Ahmedabad and later in my trip in Ahmedabad I found of-course many nice people who spoke a very good English. You can see it also in the video from the science city of Ahmedabad and also in the video with the happy guys I met on the street of Ahmedabad. So, guys, don't take it too seriously. It was the first day in Ahmedabad and I was surprised to find students who didn't speak any English at the time. I haven't made fun of them or said anything was wrong about them. Thanks and enjoy.

Chill bro. We still have Gandhi and Sardar in our genes. We will not faciltate an Englishman to be comfortable in here😉. We are, were and will be stubborn at our will. Students will press on Gujarati even if they know English.

I will tell you one incident: When our convent school made it compulsary to learn English or pay Rs1 fine every time we were caught speaking in Gujarati, my parents would stuff Rs1,Rs2 and Rs5 coins in my uniform's pockets and said "Speak in Gujarati in front of your nun-sister and donate her the fine money, how dare they bann our mother tongue on our land?" Many of my friends' parents did the same too. Less than a month later, the 'only English' rule was sacked by our head-sister.😂

You will find very less students fluent in English because in India every state has it's own language so students will learn that language first then they will focus on the Hindi language because it's the most spoken language in India and is known in many states and after that they may learn an Indian language because of their interest or job requirement then comes the English but most people find it useless to waste time as they don't give interview to BBC😂

I've been studying in Ahmedabad for 4 years, and I've noticed that Ahmedabadi (not Gujarati) people prioritize learning only what benefits their businesses. They'll only pick up skills if it leads to making money, focusing more on practicality than formal education-something that can be a double-edged sword. Despite having phenomenal educational institutions, many students prefer skipping classes to run their inherited businesses. I'm in IT, but no one in my class seems interested in it; instead, they talk mostly about the stock market. It all comes down to what makes more money, simple as that.
I’ve studied here, learned Gujarati, and appreciated the culture, but I don't think it’ll ever be the other way around. While you hear a lot about Gujaratis being sweet and nice, which is true, Ahmedabad is more competitive and money-driven. They’ll learn English if it helps them make more money.
I found that people from other parts of Gujarat are very sweet and nice and that's why most of my friends are from Saurashtra.

Gujarat was way ahead of all other Indian States in Innovation. PM Narendra Modi's governance model known as the "Gujarat Model " is appreciated by everyone in the country, it is considered as the ideal governance model in India. Gujarat people run a majority of Indian Companies since the independence of our country from the Britishers and some from even before. Gujaratis are very intelligent, Hardworking, and leaders by birth. Business Management is in their Blood. So its not that weird to see luxury cars here and there in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Dude first of all don't make fun of language. The main reason ppl don't speak English is the environment and necessity. There is no place English is required so normal ppl do not have habit of speaking English. That's why they don't have experience and vocabulary is low but most can speak that much that they can help uh or guide. And about students they can write English but in speaking English they feel kind of nervousness. So please be kind and atleast don't write bitter captions. Coz people are really sweet in Gujarat so don't speard bitterness just because of laughter bearer. Hope to see good titles in upcoming videos.

    Namaste From Bharat,
In Gujarat and specially in cities of Gujarat so many people can speak in English very well, you didn't ask anything inside that stores, you didn't ask to people who can speak English well.
In schools and colleges of Gujarat English teaching is there and most of schools are also now English Medium in the big cuties, some people lack in speaking English. Tone of Indians, Europian and American differs so some people can't understand easily.
I am from Vadodara city of Gujarat and even here you will find many people who can easily talk in English.
Though I have studied my Primary in Gujarati, I know English very well and studied my college in English easily.
And I don't think you people know more languages; In Gujarat almost everyone knows 2-3 languages, Gujarati, Hindi and English; are people of your country can do...!?
And this is the time when people of other countries are learning Indian Languages, so it's better you also learn, because its time of Bharat and people of Bharat again.

English is not a language restricted to UK. It is the global language. Even Union govt of india uses English and Hindi as official languages. Thats why english is taught in our schools. Some level of fluency is expected from everyone who are graduated from schools. So expecting english speaking from indians is not something unusual. So stop writing negative comments here.

Bro please tell me, when you go to Indian restaurants in UK ( which I am certain that you do as curry is apparently a national dish of uk), do you speak Hindi? So what’s so funny if you are in India and people don’t speak English. Still much better that almost half of the Indian population speaks English, than you guys speak any other languages like Spanish & French, which you have to study while you’re in UK schools. Just want to understand.

That I was saying also considering that English is the most popular international language in the world, spoken as a second language almost anywhere you go. Hindi, on the other hand, is not spoken outside of India, even as a second language. So, there is no comparison there whatsoever.
