I wonder if these guys have any restrictions in housing sector like segregation of areas between the whites and Browns, because back home in Gujarat there's a law called the Disturbed areas act that doesn't allow religious minorities to buy property in areas inhabited by religious majority community. Ah, Manek Chowk! I have so many fond memories of exploring this market with my friends. This video perfectly captures the magical transformation that happens around 7:30pm when the jewellery shops close and the food stalls start setting up. The organized chaos and energy of the place is just incredible!
Having lived in Ahmedabad for 4 years, I can tell you that the nighttime atmosphere here is something special. The aroma of street food like pani puri, dabeli, and chaats, the crowds mingling around the stalls, the bikes zipping around - it really represents the culture and liveliness of my city. Manek Chowk has a nostalgic place in my heart.
I love how this video shows the shift from - closing jewellery shops to the hustle-bustle of the food stalls. You get such a wonderful glimpse into this bazaar's dual life. The food stalls stay open late into the night, and they're always packed with locals, tourists and foodies alike. It's amazing how within the chaos, there is a certain charm and peace to soaking in the ambience of Manek Chowk at night. Thanks for sharing this and enjoy Gujarat (the safest state in India) !
