    Lord Brocktree is one of my favorite books all of time, but also one of my favorites books in the Redwall series. The Badgers are my favorite characters.

      But Matthias is still my favorite mouse.

    Such a lovely haul! I’ll add Cold Moons and Love Ruby Lavender to my TBR! The Violins of St Jacques sounds interesting! Hope to get to The Abandoned soon, although Too Many Ghosts is up next. (Buddy read?!) I have read The Bronze Bow and loved it. Love Elizabeth George Speare in general! I keep trying to think of a vlog to include it in but haven’t so far. It’s such an unusual book and one you don’t see discussed much! 😊 Glad you are getting better and what a great haul to chat about with us!

      If my library has “Ghosts” or if I can obtain it at a decent price, I will happily read it with you.
      I read Bronze Bow with my son in his grade school days. I really liked it too, and I agree that it is one of her’s we hear little about.

    Oh my goodness, you got so many lovely finds! The cook books you got look so nice, I love those bright colorful ones, but I can't ever justify giving them shelf space since I never stick to recipes 😂 I missed out indie bookstore day, but did catch a charity sale the following week, so I more than made up for it.

    I love Adagio teas! That's where I buy all of my loose leaf teas from.
    I'm going to have to keep an eye out for Sir Machinery. I've never heard of it before, but it sounds really good!
    That's so funny that you just bought a new copy of Cyrano and it was mentioned in my video yesterday.

      I love Adagio’s Peppermint tea! It is so flavorful and fresh!
      They never have disappointed me with their blends though!
      I had been trying to find Sir MacHinery under $20 in good condition for years! It was a glorious day when I found this one!
      If I would not have found this sweet edition of Cyrano I would have been just fine with keeping the one I had, but this one came across my path at just the right time ♥️

    I only just read for the first time Anne of Green Gables (It just was not in my scope, I was Heidi and Little Women girl,) I am reading Anne of Avonlea, I ordered Anne of the Island, but I haven't gotten it yet. I loved the first and I am loving the second book. I hope you enjoy the two sequels.

    • @novelideea
      @novelideea  4 месяца назад +1

      Oh I’ve read them all! I just didn’t own them. The first Three are my favorites.
      I still don’t own Heidi even though I’ve read it multiple times!

    • @sherrirabinowitz4618
      @sherrirabinowitz4618 4 месяца назад +1

      @@novelideea I was thinking that I may not read the whole series, it depends. I think I will read the books after Anne of the Island from the library. And that will help me to decide if I should buy them. My copy of Heidi is from my childhood, it is very well loved (worn and scribbled in crayon on the front and back covers,), I have bought a really beautiful vintage copy of it in good shape, but that first one was a gift from my Mom I will love it forever. The second one Heidi Grows up comes with a bit of a story. I was on my 5 re-reading of Heidi my Mom said, you know there is a sequel, I was teen by then, so I used my babysitting money to buy the sequel. There is a third one but is very rare and hard to find at price I can't afford. So those two books are precious because they remind me of my Mom. Isn't it interesting how some books are just full of people you loved that you shared the book with?

      @@sherrirabinowitz4618 I passed the copies of Anne and Heidi and Little Women on to my girls and granddaughter. It felt important that they keep being read by the next generations and loved. Eventually I’ll have copies to be read at LaLa’s house when she comes to visit ♥️
