This was an absolutely stunning, magnificent moment in time which can never be repeated. I will spend the remainder of my days longing to go back in time and personally witness the magic of Bert and these incredible musicians. I am forever in awe.
Back AGAIN: my sweet God.....Jiggs was so absolutely casual.....standing at the very last second to begin and simply NAILING it. WHAT a beautiful young professional. I will never forget you, Jiggs.
My favorite version of this song is by Maynard Feruguson on the 1974 album Camelion. It featured a trombone solo by Randy Purcell who was the arranger.
@SafeInNewYorkCity -thats true! ...although several years back in a corner of Idaho I'd rather not mention I saw Trombonist James Miestone knocked out by thugs that placed him into a cheap "Creature from the Black Lagoon" suit. He woke up with his trombone by his side when a totally different thug forced him (at gunpoint) to play a fast version of "My ex blew my cats paws off"
This is some of the most emotions I've ever heard in a song!
In my dreams I play this as well as Jiggs.

Bravissimo Jiggs......grande personalità ,suono, interpretazione..........grande spessore musicale e riconoscibile tra tanti....❤❤❤❤
This is the par excellence example of the beauty of the sound I long to achieve in my playing.
The angels were obliged to visit earth when Jiggs played this.

Purcell is great on that. Maynard ruins it.

The question of my life: does he play a C in first position just after 02:06?
Maybe G C😂
Working up to an Ab with a full sound. -Total control of the instrument
Glorious arrangement and playing. And is that Uk's Tony Fisher in the trumpet ranks?
Is he playing a short slide 2B?
Can the author of this please make it available on all platforms
hermoso tema-
❤
The funny thing is that he's not dead.
Who are the trumpet players in this??
The marvellous Ack van Rooyen is farthest and UK's Tony Fisher seconf from this end, but ,no, otherwise.
Anyone know where I can get the sheet music for this?

Sam Jo G major
He died at the age of 56.How can you see him tomorrow?
This was great playing by Jiggs playing the Randy Purcell arranged trombone solo from the Maynard Ferguson band!!
Unerreicht „der hohe weiche Ton" von Jiggs.
So und nicht anders muss das klingen
auf einer KING-Trombone.
