Love the Monty. I'm a 4Runner user myself, but have a secret love for Monteros and Troopers! Your light issue. Try taking metal plate and drilling oversized holes to fit over the rivnuts. Then, run your bolts through the light base, the metal plates, and tight into the rivnuts. That may help with the bouncing issue since the base of the lights are raised ever so slightly on the riv nuts. Keep up the offroad content!
thanks for the tip! it's actually secure to the bumper part, it's just that the bumper is 2 pieces that are not attached very well to each other, so i need to weld in a plate that attaches them more securely
Auxbeam looks bright & shiney. Do they need any booster or flicker resistors added ? Had front cv axels & joints, arms, bushings just installed. Spark plugs were crazy to get done. Ordered up some Koni shocks and look forward to install.
Hooptero looks like a ton of fun. I like the looks of those lights, but similar to the aircraft landing lights i used to run....the abrupt return to just headlights looks as if it might leave ya blind as your eyes adjust?
It’s pretty dramatic, but I don’t notice a delay in adjusting. The most shocking park is going from being able to see 100 yards in front of you back down to 10 haha.
Best vehicle ever!!!!
