My projector wall is eventually going to be covered by a wall of curtains, curtains that match the ones on the windows on the side. Full old school “theater” vibes. 😊
This idea is genius and renter friendly. And all you'll have to do is fill in and paint the holes of the curtain rods when you leave. I remember the old school theaters with the curtains 💜💙💚💛🧡
Okay, hear me out on the big blank wall . . . You could paint a roller shade [art], and make it smart so that it rolls up when you launch your TV apps. We have our curtains set to close when our TV turns on.
a hack that i learned while working at a skateshop, contractors would come in and buy grip tape to use on stairs! they can be cut into even strips and come in clear
For the projector wall, a blanket ladder with colourful blankets. This can be moved to a fairly skinny wall when something is going to be watched. Thanks for inspiring my design thinking.
for the projection wall: wooden poster holders with fabric in them! Can take down and roll up when watching TV, only a couple nails that can we pretty flush in the wall.
12:10 if this is a ikea billy shelf, they do doors for the little cubby holes, imo doors would provide for better access to the stuff inside than baskets. Less whimsical though ☺️
an idea for sarahs blank wall problem: you could diy a beaded curtain with any design you want ( tutorials on youtube ) or maybe some kind of curtain/ fabric/ macrame art/ wall rug with a pretty print or image on it. then put up a steel string curtain rod ( slides really smooth ) so you can push it really easy out of the way when you use the projector. and you can make it as short or long as you want :D
For the projektor wall - get a picture rail or a curtain rod/track. If you are renting and can't drill, use command strips to attache it (extra strength). Then you can use fishing line and hooks to hang anything you want. If you use a curtain track and tapestries, you can literally just pull it to the side without taking it off. But you could also put up a framed gallery wall that way
for context, the "utility room" is not common in apartements in Eastern Europe. That's a very common thing there. Either in the balcony, kitchen, close to the exterior wall to be able to connect it to the outside unit
Girls, you were gracious! With all respect, that tile on the entryway looks so busy and reminds me of raw wood boards. At first I thought it wasn’t completed
Am I the only whose definition of whimsical is sooo different from the one you girls had ? Love the fact that it means different things to different people but still I was so confused haha !
@@jocelynbrown759 You sure? To me whimsical means fairy tale stuff. So kinda cottage and woodlands with fairies, plants, little jars and mushrooms. Like witchy but more light hearted, without the eye of newt sorta.
I have one of those hemnes shoe cabinets. I have used it to store shoes, root vegetables, gardening supplies, and most recently, paperwork. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend it for is the root vegetables. I thought the holes on the back of the tilt-out parts would be sufficient airflow, but it really was not. I do think with the right containers you could use it for more general pantry storage. Canned goods would be kinda annoying tho. It would definitely work for storing table linens!
I havent really heard of adding sand to you flooring to add grip but i have heard of adding polybeads to your floor paint to add grip. Im not sure how that would work with your epoxy finished floor. I work in a paint store and the epoxy product we sell for floors you would have to prep the floors properly first and essentially redo your floors. Also just because you hire a professional doesnt mean they know what they are doing or understand the product they are using! I see it all the time!!
Or you make a double-sided piece. Hang it from cable using command hooks. A side is a big art piece. The B side is pure white. Just flip it back and forth.
If Anne would own the apartment she could also decoupage a nice painting on top of the electrical box using the modge podge trick from TSG and then in the end hang a frame around it - bam! Hidden within plain sight 😊
It's quite common for stairwells in German/Austrian/Switzerland houses and apartment buildings: to have tiled floors. Because they are so easy to clean. Plus during the Autumn & Winter season you bring so much snow (melt water) into the home. And you will always take your snowboots, shoes off in these stairwell/hallways and you put your (own or offered) warm house shoes/slippers on.✌🏻😊
The one where she is trying to hide the utility concerns, maybe she could thrift an armoire from a charity shop for cheap so taking the back off wouldn’t hurt so much, attach to the wall and then paint it if desired.
100000000000000% whimsical is the word I think of when thinking fairies, toadstool mushrooms, woodland. It's also the word I would give to the feeling that some rooms in 90s/00s movies give off (e.g. Penelope, Harriet the Spy). I have been trying to find a word to better fit the aesthetics of those two movies and have yet to find one.
This is what I would have done for ants I would have gotten identical cabinet to the one she has push it all the way to the right wall have wheels on it so when you need to get to those things you can move it and then put a fabric piece of artwork over that other piece of metal... On the right hand wall. And yes someday I'm going to buy a house just so I can do a dining nook!!
Get a roller for art, like a 'projector screen' or even Roman shade style for the projector wall. Also, Kelsy, I found your ideas were 'off' today, sorry. Dining nooks can be uncomfortable: as one ages there are bad knees, backs, or even for a tall or heavy person often cannot sit comfortably. Have a blessed day 💖✝
Hi team. Just a note that for me the audio was muffled and then had some highs (screeches). Might be my tv set up, but can you check your audio levels, xoxo
You know, I was looking down the comments to see if anyone else was thinking this, it surprises me that more people aren't. They aren't doing many actual DIYS anymore, they are doing a lot of AI, and online submissions where they get rendered images, and tell the people how to do it themselves. It feels like they don't actually want to make anything themselves anymore, and also there team has grown quite a bit (obviously minus Rachael) yet they are coming out with significantly less content then they were before.
@sarasaberi8495 I think people are afraid to speak up and seem like "haters" because we love THEM, but the content is lacking badly and I had to say it. 🤷🏾♀️ We wanna see cool DIYs and makeovers yet they keep giving us AI...as you've said. I really liked the thrift flip/dupe series too but they seem very few and far between. It's disappointing. Thank you for replying so i feel I'm the only one who feels this way.🫣
We get a ton of submissions from all over the globe so this makes it possible to offer our design help to everyone in some form 🥰 come back next week for more in person content - Kelsey is giving her home the final touches!
I recommend you research the internet before adding sand to your stairs. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Strips already exist that you can add to your stairs. RUclipsr add sand to paint and think they’ve invented something, cracks me up. You girls have a lot of influence due to all of your followers. It’s shameful when I can’t believe you haven’t looked anything up and just say you’re going to do it. Oh well, I’m done. I can’t watch you anymore. So I will unsubscribe.
As a woman, I can say the problem with women is they can’t take any criticism. Where it could help you grow, but instead, you’d rather stick your heads back in the ground.. Thank you for being stuck. I like the fact you went to look at what I’ve written, which means that you never take anything. I’ve said seriously and considerate all criticism. Shame on you.

Roch is giving Ms. Rachel in that outfit and I love it-need a “Ms. Rochi” series 😂
ohp I thought that tile was plywood..
I did too- almost like particle board!
Same girl
I feel like this tile was typical in old German homes. But when you make the surrounding cool, it could read Tuscany I guess
I did too. I thought the stairs were unfinished abd I was seeing the plywood base. 😊
Same
Watching from my phone. Maybe that's why at first I thought the flooring was subfloor, and now I can't unsee it.
Me too!!!
Yeah, the camera quality/lighting is not doing it justice. I immediately also thought I was looking at OSB.
I now NEED the video of the team making over Anne’s kitchen!!
👀👀👀

The team honestly feels so refreshed lately. Loving the dynamic ❤
For all those pipes next to the window. Think radiator cover. Make a frame and the fill in with rattan or perforated metal
I think the stair railing getting stained in Astrid's entryway would help to tie the darker terracotta in!
good suggestion!! thanks for watching 💖
You being back on the “work shop floor” set (kind of cause not on the floor lol) itched my brain in a way it really needed
Haha! I love when the set brings the good vibes 💖

I was thinking this exact thing!
NOOK! NOOK! NOOK! NOOK! 🤣
But really, a nook gives more space and more seating so it works. 😁
a hack that i learned while working at a skateshop, contractors would come in and buy grip tape to use on stairs! they can be cut into even strips and come in clear
omg would not have through to use grip tape!! thank for sharing 💖
Rachael is missed. Hope she's doing well. No updates on her Insta.

that's a great suggestion!! Thanks for watching 💖
also something with wheels could be good... my mum put some wheels on a nice piece of wood and she has two big plants on it that she can easily move
now I see they have carpet... maybe not the best idea then
YES ! Definitely three of you doing this is much better than just two of you!

For the projection wall just hang high rod hang anything you want slid over when not wanted. Her project ion was huge !

I believe there are wood quilt "hooks" or "knobs" that screw into a wall, that pinch a blanket so loops aren't needed.
Am I the only whose definition of whimsical is sooo different from the one you girls had ?

ahahah agree! I had thought like english cottage so aligning with "fairy" vibes, but when I googled it the gals were right

I feel so to but maybe depending on the generation the meaning differs

In Europe, the utilities just existing in the main living spaces is so normal. Especially in apartments.

Good video, would have loved to hear more of Rochy's thoughts for the spaces though ❤️
the first space tile just looks like plywood.... literally had to find the tile ya'll were talking about.
sorry but even after the redesign I still can't get over those tiles, it looks so unfinished
I just commented the same thing! I didn’t realize it was tile until they mentioned it. I thought it was just an unfinished wood base

You can purchase really nice solid wood tapestry hooks that pinch the fabric as it hangs so it doesn’t ruin it. You could definitely diy them
great call!!
This was so fun! Also Merit beauty is so versatile and beginner friendly. I love their products.
yesssss! we love Merit 💖
So many good ideas today!!
Yay! Thank you! 💖
I'd add a frame for the projector and project art . If you can't project a still of choice, use a roll screen mounted mounted inside frame.
Anne could use another ikea book shelf, put both on casters so she can move them around.
Not the same without Rachel :( she really had a good energy and was perfect for the camera
Happy for your backs that you are from the workshop table now🥰🥰🥰
💖
I think Anne needs that kitchen nook.... :D
👀
Not sand, use ground walnut shells. That's what we put on my dad's boat deck. You can buy them.
For the pipes-a wardrobe to Narnia!
best comment award ⭐️
How about a Roman shade approach to polling up the art for the wall.
fuchsia is rochelles colour! that sweater looks so good on her
Hi girls! Love your vids!!!!
💖 hi!!
For the projector wall dilemma, how about the solution Lone Fox came up with?
Hey, early crew!❤
we love our early crew 🤭
First one turn the desk sideways si can sit on either side too
Гениально! Правда у нас система отопления, скрывать трубы только в туалете за фальш-панелями
I like this format! Watching from the US...BTW, most of us love Canada! So sorry for what's going on right now!
Trump was NOT my candidate!
You guys aren’t thinking straight. What did you put your TV on? And easel on wheels. Wheel that pretty art in there and then wheel it right out.

It's just like from the workshop floor, only slightly elevated
Oh god. I just realized the solution to my kitchen dining issue is a nook 😵💫
Kelsey's already on her way 🫡
Has Rachel left the sorry girls? I love her sm!!! WE WANT HER BACK!!

thank you for the feedback 💖
mamas give us the T on Rachael! xx
Thought the tile was sub flooring. 😳
that first entryway can we please please move that chest 3 inches from the wall????
I thought the floor was chip board...even worse than plywood.😢😂😅.
nookified! cool word....
hehe love it
No Saturdays' videos, no 'good bye' from Rachell herself - what is going on with you sorry girls?
I’m ❤ into gaming is going to want a much bigger screen
I miss renders at the end, this sketches looks so bad, I can't even imagine the space. In some videos were renders and this one no?
🌹❤️

I’m sorry but that merit blush looked terrible 😭😅
